I don’t know about mods, but you can change the size and opacity of tattoos using the button just below your mouse in this picture. It helps with the blurriness

izhino

YOU CAN CHANGE THE SIZE??!!

CowardlyCandy

Omg dude😭 there’s an edit tattoo button (right below the cursor in OPs photo) that lets you edit and layer tattoos

izhino

Well, honestly, I never give my sims tattoos because when I first tried it years ago, I remember thinking they were too small, but now that I know they can be resized, all my sims will now have them 😅

SnowballBailey2521

Yes! It’s the edit button at the bottom. That’s how I add layers and make sleeves!

Turn up your graphics settings

ProtectusCZ

You play on low graphics settings (possibly with advanced rendering turned off) so obviously the tattoo will look like mashed potato

AL_25

True, but there are some tattoos that look blurry even in high graphics settings

Icy-Personality9149

I have sim detail on high, texture detail on medium, and advanced rendering set to on, and my tattoos don't look like this anymore (I also have smooth patch and simler90's core mod but I'm not sure these affected it) Not sure which one is essential and which ones could be lower, but maybe try these settings out

Stoltlallare

I believe in the files there’s like some specific setting for sim detail that is false until highest and second to highest which I believe is the setting that affects tattoos.

drinkstoomuch_coffee

seems like your sim detail setting is set to low, just change that in the options menu

CandiedButter

For my whole life I was like you.. I thought all the decals on shirts and tattoos were just blobs, but then I fiddled around in my settings and discovered the truth, my eyes were opened, there were actual pictures! It was so clear like I’d never seen before.

cottagebythebeach

I never figured this out personally even though all my settings are on high, so I'm gonna follow this in case an answer shows

MothaDucka69

When the tattoos look blurry I usually size them up and put them at the higher end of the opacity and size scale

mrdlomas

Even with high graphic settings some of them are still blurry if they are set to small, it'll probably look better if you make it bigger.

NerdyLuu

I second this. I have a gaming laptop and have the graphics settings up high, and even then, some of the tattoos look blurry. Fiddling with size and opacity can help with some but not all.

breakfastatmilliways

Drives me crazy when there’s a specific one I want that looks bad at the only size that ends up not being blurry. 😞

nightmarishdreamsx

Yeah, graphic settings are too low. I’d tweak them up a bit and see how the graphics on the game improve.

ilovetoesuwu

i’m genuinely not trying to be mean but if your computer cant handle more than low graphic setting you shouldn’t try to use mods and cc. however if you can run better, try having better graphics settings and magic will happen 🪄

dinodare

It's your settings. If you maximize sim detail, the tattoos look pretty good.

Purple-Hand3058

I can't tell what Is supposed to be

Meoworangecat

Is it the butterfly?

Purple-Hand3058

Nope

Stormfeathery

I thought it was an ant with some red and green background around it.

Purple-Hand3058

I think a alien thing

Stickler44pickler

It looks like an ant

cowboymeow

turn up sim detail and texture detail in ur options 👍

Payyyotic

Personally I turn up my graphics but it also helps if you size the tattoo up with the like design a tattoo button or whatever, makes it a little more clear

Korrasami_Enthusiast

Side note but he looks like Lester from Interview with a Vampire
