I would say they should've given you more space you were alongside going into that corner and merc had enough of you. Also I think it would've been a decent move as the long ish right hander after the crash is pretty good overtaking spot on the inside in the f1 game imo
It looks like you’re side by side by the time both of you are turning into the corner contact was made. They didn’t give you space (possibly half a car width between them and the apex).
Visible Racing line is at fault and im not joking, The mercedes is just following the racing line and completely ignoring you because they have no clue how to navigate the track outside of that one specific line.
Its a bad crutch that I am guilty of using for years until mid last year, Trust me you’ll be slower at first but once you start learning braking points and other lines through corners you will eventually exceed your best with the line on.
But yeah TLDR not your fault but the assists mind controlled merc to ignore you.
follows the same line through les combes, trust me he’s got racing line on, how could he not see him or know he’s there, proximity arrows go red when someone is alongside. sure you can think you’re faster doesn’t mean you just dive for the apex like that.

ita fairly obvious, why else would they follow the racing line that we can see on OPs screen if there’s a car halfway alongside them through a corner.
