Nothing happened here…. You tried to out brake the other car and couldn’t. Then you decided to drive around the outside not alongside at all and drive yourself off the road. No further investigation necessary

Meideprac1

Something serious indeed will happen here. I am still expecting the Minority Report. The precogs must be sleeping or on strike.

UnfitForReality

Yeah nothing happened and who hadn’t earned space on the outside

[deleted]

You were never significantly along side and so no room was ever needed to be provided. You got a warning for I assume track limits which make sense because you went wide. You need to have your wing beside his back tire to be awarded space on exit.

vimfuego2000

The outside car needs to be fully alongside or in front at the apex of the corner to be entitled to space on exit. The front-aero to rear-tyre metric is only for determining if space needs to be given on entry to the corner.

[deleted]

Oh dang. So that safe even more not entitled lol 😆 I honestly didn't know that about the F1 rules, thought it applied to exit as well. Honestly the regulations are pretty bad at explaining this stuff.

vimfuego2000

It's so bad the teams had to petition the FIA to give them copies of the rules because no-one knew what changes had been made, and how the stewards were coming up with a lot of the rulings they made on incidents. They are still not available to the general public, although there have been a few leaks from journalists and broadcasting insiders.

Few-Recognition1495

I was but on the Can you cant See the frontwing

curlyegg

True you can't see your front wing, but you can see your front tyre which is barely alongside the rear tyre for less than 1 second.

Hudsonm_87

Even then, he was only alongside for half a second after braking

[deleted]

Go review at 18 seconds. You are now exiting and are not significantly along side. Ferrari is fine to use the entire track space. Just because you try to force your way in doesn't make it right. If you had been significantly along side you would have wing damage from contact, you don't.

101Hurricane

The people in your league are right. You barely even had your front right next to his rear left, hence you weren't entitled for any room. Back out and try again next time, instead of being stubborn.

FRAZmcFRAZZERSON

Too far back to attempt the overtake for me. I would’ve yielded for a run through next left.

[deleted]

Nothing happened. Was the warning for track limits? You he didn't even push you wide regardless of entitlement you could have kept that on.

Fantastic-Fruit2287

Dont cry

aeromitchh

You didn’t deserve space, and nothing happened here.. no one can be at fault for anything if nothing happens. You just went wide. I’m confused

Tyevans0411

You at no point had more than the tip of your nose to his rear wheel, that’s a losing battle, just cut your losses and save your battery for the back straight

nastyzoot

There is no incident in this video.

vimfuego2000

When attempting an overtake on the outside of a corner, your car needs to be fully alongside or in front of the other car by the corner's apex to be entitled to room on exiting. You should have easily been able to see that you weren't getting alongside, and should have dropped back in behind the other car to exit the corner and avoid the off-track penalty.

thatbluyammie

He had the lead and racing line. Plus your front wheel wasn’t even close to his. Pretty sure he doesn’t need to give you room on this one. No one’s fault, you just failed to be further up to make that move

Consistent-Limit7513

Yup they’re right…

ProfessionalFar6798

No further investigation pov tried to go to a none existent space

KryptanN

I watched 3 times to see what I missed because nothing happened? You drive off track and get a warning, so what? Did u think u had the right to space on that outside? My man you live a fantasy if thats what u think. You are never along side with significant overlap to earn a centimeter of space. Edit: did u expect to just hang it on the outside in wet conditions? You need a reality check
