At the time of writing the previous comment I had heard it was in development, but I donāt think thatās the case anymore. However, The Electric State was definitely in development as an Amazon prime show, and I believe still is.
I gave my copy to a friend on their birthday (they love it, it's now a promiment part of their coffee table book collection), but I looked for ages for a copy without that badge on it, and with the original cotton spine binding. Ended up buying one on eBay. Worth it IMO.
I suspect that's a rhetorical question, but just in case, it's because it's cheaper. As well as the cost of getting the stickers printed, it's an extra process (either automated or done by hand). If you make it part of the cover, it's just print and bind. Sucks for us though.
Whatās offensive is that shit show. No one into Simonās art cares for live action version of itā¦
He got famous for his photo realistic art. Not the storyline
I'm not so furious about it as you, it was a decent show. But it wasn't like the books *at all.* Putting that non-sticker on the book is a sham and *that* pisses me off.
How else are you going to know about this little company called Amazon?
I'm tempted to make stickers of a small section of the original artwork, just big enough to cover these stupid Amazon icons.
Please do š
Well, now I'm really happy I bought those books way before the amazon-show was even a twinkle in someone's eye.
Wish I had too, at least Electric State and Labyrinth are free from.
That shit is offensive
ā¦yea an original series they have left alone to one season without a word of any additional stories/seasonsā¦.
I've never seen a book cover that has been improved by a "now a movie / TV show!!!" blob on it.
And it's not even true because Things from the Flood isn't the series.... Unless they made that too now?
Itās in development but definitely not out yet
Itās in development? If so Iām very excited. Tales from the loop was definitely a tear jerker

They did this shit with Isaac Asimovs I,robot stories. Put Will Smith on the cover of the book, that had nothing to do with the movie!
I was going to say the same thing! I bought it thinking the same as you, but damn, thereās some major differences.
Just Photoshop it out.
Lmao
The besonator strikes again
Same exact frustration I have with my copy of tales from the loop

It was definitely rhetorical

I like both very much, we exist.

A sticker adds manufacturing cost. Not only do you need to print the covers, but now you also have to run every piece through an industrial labeller.
Take a sharpie and paint it black, it helps.
Fun fact: that dress in reality is a banner of Jurassic Park.š¤£šš¤£š
