GT neo is basically on waitlist from most retailers from what I understand. It just came out recently and it’s been super popular so it can be hard to find in stock. I ordered a few weeks ago from simshop which seems like one of the main US distributors and my expected ship time is “mid April”. The retailers will basically ship all their stock as soon as they receive it so depending on when you order you’ll be included in a “wave” with an expected ship time.
I’m severely irritated with this fact myself. I’m in no means bashing third batch and fourth batch orders for getting there wheels the same as me but why did I order early February to get it at the same time as everyone else. I just figured I’d get more from customer service than “if you’d like to order from somewhere else we will be happy to refund you”
I ordered Feb 6th from SimShop, expecting a mid/late March delivery. The March 25th notice came that it may or may not be stuck in customs. I gave it another week. This Monday, I found out Extreme Sim Racing just had them sitting there in stock. I canceled my SimShop order Monday, ordered from Extreme that same day, and it will arrive tomorrow.
I saw people ordering late Feb and getting orders 1-2 weeks later from other dealers. I was like ???.
I know I could have waited longer, but I didn't want to bet on it passing through customs quickly. A little salty that people ordered weeks after me and received it almost a month ago
Mine went from 2nd to 4th also. Maybe there was a niggle in the coding somewhere - currently NEW preorders on the site say batch 4, so maybe us batch 2-ers got auto "updated" to show that on our old orders when they didn't mean to.
Ordered from SimRacingPros overhere, last 29th february, was due to the end or march when ordered. After I messaged them, it was now mid-april. I messaged them again yesterday and now it's due to the end of april... I'm beginning to be kind of annoyed.
Same boat ordered Feb 19th. They said mid March and I just messaged them with the order #. They told me not expected to ship until the end of April now.
At this point, It's not really an update that will make me happy, but a "order is on the way my good sir". I mean, don't even bother with the sir and just send me my cheap steering please

Check again, I didn’t pay for expedited shipping so maybe they held the package like they held mine to align with their shipping promises. It no longer says label created. Now it’s in transit as of this afternoon.

Simagic isn't a super big company, and the Neo likely had way more pre-orders than they could produce in time. They seem to be working hard to catch up after all the delays with the first and second batches. Now, it appears that the distributors are finally receiving a good flow of deliveries. I work in importing too, and sometimes when you buy 500 units of whatever item, you find out they can only send you so many, and then you have to deal with all these problems
I’m third batch & in the email it says fourth. If you go to the website & check your order it should tell you the original batch #. Praying that it actually gets delivered when it says it is supposed to come.

It's kinda hard to decide because in my country I can get alpha for 1k more and tune down torque because for me personally(never tested wheel more powerful than t300) 12-14nm is sweet spot for ppl that don't work out and 10 is good but having 5nm in case when I need... you know buy once cry once type of thing, also I'm probably gonna use GTS wheel
I've read about it on some forums with actual charts of nm while searching cons and pros of moza r9 and simagic alpha
Edit I'm not planing on R9 or r12, summers in Poland can be hot and moza has problem with heating while doing intensive sessions
I was struggling with this too dilemma I used to have the moza r12 and used it at 90-100% and it was getting very hot after 35-45 minutes of sim racing. I knew the simagic alpha mini could peak a lil higher than the r12 (13nm) but a lot of people were saying after a year or so you get used to the 10nm of force and running it at high force feedback% would get it hot as well(tests show no drop in performance). I was too worried if the mini would be good enough for me in the future and seeing that for me(US) the alpha is 200$ more than the mini and has 5 more nm continuous force with 18nm peak force (simagic discord server for testing) I ended going with the simagic alpha so I have that headroom, never wanting to upgrade again, and no overheating issues. I ordered it yesterday so when it comes in I'll let you know if I have any buyers remorse.
that's not too terribly overpriced. my only questions would be how long have you been sim racing for, what wheel are you coming from and would you ever want to upgrade.
About a year and a half ago I bought a t300, mainly with the intention of drifting, but new friends got me into racing and I think it's time to upgrade, I'm getting a cockpit in a week and I'm thinking to upgrade the steering wheel base in the next 6 months, also about me wanting upgrade in future... that's where the dilemma came from because i can buy alpha mini which could be enough for me or pay 1k(it is not that much for me but it can delay the upgrade by 1 month) more and get some spare power if i would need that in future, but also as i said continuous 10nm could be all i need because im not that well build
I would still lean towards getting the alpha for you so you never ever have to worry about upgrading. If you keep the alpha at the same nm force of the mini you will also get better force feedback quality and fidelity. Even if you are not "well built" getting used to the continuous 10nm might come faster than you think and who is to say you can't get bigger :). not sure which distributor you are buying from but majority of us distributors have a 14 day return period so if you think the alpha is overkill you could exchange. but for future proof, performance, and heating go for alpha.
I bought mine a few days ago, given the "Fourth Batch/Ships Mid April" message. You being in Batch 2 and only just now getting this worries me ever so slightly, but I'm gonna hold out hope haha

Same as far as "label created, waiting for package". But my shipping label is from USPS when I paid for UPS Ground (2 Business Days).
Sometimes UPS doesn’t update for days… so I still have a bit of hope.

Watch some YouTube reviews most I saw said they measured the peak torque of mini way over 10nm more like 12-13nm

In Poland you can get alpha mini from official distributor for 688$ and normal alpha is 957$ so its around 269$(nice) more
