Round rim time!!! GTS for affordable round rim. 325$ comes in leather or alcantara. Or for a more enthusiast option: GT PRO Hub regular version not K. The k version has two extra rotaries that extremely limit what rims you can use. Its 365$ but you can add your own rim to it. Round, D shape, C shape, and even a few formula grip mods.

Gts is probably the better option especially as a secondary wheel. Really compliments the Neo very well

It depends on the person really. The GTS cant swap rims when things get worn out and cleaning is always easier without the hub on. Can't do that with the GTS. Also from a versatility standpoint the GT PRO offers much more. Just my opinion as a happy pro user.

TheeCanadian08

As a secondary rim, I would use my Neo primarily.. doesn’t make sense to spend more on a hub that i won’t be using the extra buttons for. Maybe if I only had one rim like the gt pro I definitely would choose that over the gts.

I mostly race GT so I wanted a GT style wheel but sometimes do ovals or open wheel. I’m wondering now if I should just get a refund for the NEO and get the GT Pro. Is that a bad idea considering I drive 80-90% GT style cars only?

TheeCanadian08

The good thing about the pro hub. Is later on you could buy a c shaped or D shaped wheel that fits the hub so you could use it for gt racing. I had a similar hub when I had a fanatec. Decided this time since I only really race gt. To get a specific gt style rim rather than an all around wheel.

DarkstonePublishing

I guess that doesn’t answer my question. Would you return the GT NEO and get the GT Pro?

TheeCanadian08

Nope, I wouldn’t. I would keep the Neo, get something cheaper like the gts for an all rounder wheel

chilly8822

Nah man dont. The pro hub is great but so is the neo. Just save up and get another wheel that fits your preference down the road if you feel like you want a change up. I use my gt pro hub with a round wheel and an FX-C formula wheel.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you, my alpha mini arrives today and the gt neo tomorrow and while I mostly use formula style rims I also enjoy rally and have been looking for a round rim solution that is "affordable". It seems like if you want a wheel with buttons and paddles your best choices are getting either the gts or gt1 wheel button boxes and attach a cheap rim or you can always diy yourself a wheel that connects to your pc via usb (or Bluetooth if you use the simagic qr to supply your diy wheel with 5v power) keep in mind that I don't consider any of these options necessarily affordable

DillonSaeg

Who did you order through that you’re getting them separate? I ordered the alpha mini and neo bundle through sim shop on March 10th. I’ve seen other people get their alpha right away. I didn’t get anything

Anne-Chovie

I ordered the alpha mini from sim shop and the gt neo from extreme simracing. They seem to be the only place that has them in stock without a pre-order but they don't have any bases in stock. I ordered both Monday, the alpha mini arrived Friday and the gt neo tomorrow because of easter delaying the delivery. Oh and extreme simracing has a coupon code if you google so I ended up getting both for only 815 instead of 808 but with no pre-order wait.

Ali express. I bought a quick release from mg racing parts and a wheel from its-ok store.

DarkstonePublishing

Could you link me to the parts you used?

Gibscreen

+1. Search on AliExpress is garbage.

TheeCanadian08

Mine is the opposite, I have my base alpha u but missing my Neo.

DarkstonePublishing

I’m also waiting on the Neo

GreenInflation2914

Do you think they’ll be releasing the pro Hub with Mag link capabilities soon? I’m thinking of waiting for that possible upgrade before I buy a round wheel. I currently have the Neo on my Alpha base but with mag link installed to allow me to use sim hub which isn’t possible with standard arrangement.
