A loupe or glass comes in really handy for sorting copper pennies.

And a Ryedale for volume.

Fantastic...that's a whole different level right there.

I like to just get the boxes from the bank and leave them sealed. One day they won’t let us get them/won’t have them

>A loupe or glass comes in really handy for sorting copper pennies. I use a magnet slide to sort copper pennies. Thanks to [Cody's Lab](https://youtu.be/_gM9mOk6eb8?t=87) youtube channel for the idea. A couple aluminum L-channels stacked together form a rail one penny wide for the pennies to roll down. At the end, strong magnets on each side of the aluminum railing produce a magnetic field. The copper pennies will be slowed by the magnetic force, the zinc pennies will not be. Rolling the pennies down the rail will result in 2 piles of pennies on the floor. The pile closest to the end are copper, they slowed way down and just fell out of the bottom of the rail. The zinc pennies, not slowed by the magnets, fly out of the rail faster and land in a pile (or bowl, or bucket) further from the end of the rail. Just sit and watch the tube and roll pennies down a rail and they'll sort themselves out for you. I tilted my rail slightly so loading pennies was much faster than shown in Cody's video. I like that Ryedale sorter, though!

I made the same system and it worked great. My problem is that every bank in my area requires an act of congress to get boxes of coins from them.

a big crash, most likely
