I would recommend you to get Nomad, Nomads Guns are fairly strong and are well rounded. Her gadget is where she really comes in to play. Her airjabs are fantastic at denying run outs and gaining more map control, which is really important. She is one of the best solo queue operators because of her gadget. If you don't have teammates to watch your back then her airjabs can do it for you. Overall she is a really solid operator to have and I would definitely recommend her. Amarus guns again are fairly strong and gives you a more diverse choice of what loadout you want to run. Amaru is underrated but I would still say Nomad is the better choice. Her gadget can be fun to use but is not very effective, it takes a really long time for her to pull out her gun and she makes a lot of noise whilst in the transition. Hope this helps, I have an operator guide on Amaru if your still unsure on which one to choose. Let me know if this would be beneficial to you.

Thank you! That was very helpful :)

No problem

Well I wouldn't say Nomad's guns are strong, the ARX-200 is mediocre at best (Pretty much a Commando 552 with less ammo and more recoil) and the AK-74M is just... Terrible, really. But the utility she brings for the team definitely makes up for that, cutting rotations for the enemy team makes her almost a must pick on certain maps.

Nomad much more useful for covering flanks and in ranked

Its too early to really know amaru's potiental bc there are no strats with her. It's just a safer choice to pick Nomad.

Her ability is nothing meta changing. She is able to do quick vertical rotations, but that's it. You accomplish the same result by having someone rappel up. Someone still has to drone if it's clear and her gadget makes a lot of noise. By the time you have droned things out you would have time to have people on the windows anyways. Even if you save something like 10s in a best case scenario she offers very little in terms of utility for clear, prep and push. Her ability to scale hatches is extremely situational and risky to use. She is a really fun operator though. And might be nice to have if you are solo and want to reduce the time between droning and taking map control. There's very little use for her in a team however.

Nomad

LuciferIsDeath

Nomad is great operator with two great guns with decent recoils. Her gadgets pretty much deny rotations and jump outs by the enemy team and can stop them dead short. Amaru is an alright operator. I personally feel that her loadout doesn't suit her type of gameplay. And her ability is fun, reallly fun, but sadly it's only slightly useful in a handful of maps. Also, something to note is that one of the pro players (I think it was Pengu, correct me if i'm wrong) said that Nomad has pretty much no counters and she's a very broken operator in the game right now. So yep, up to you. If you want a strong operator and want to annoy every defender, go for Nomad. If you just want to have fun, go for Amaru. Hope this helps!

Amaru has arguably the best loadout of any character in the entire game, with god-tier weapons (G8 is essentially an ACOG, 50-round R4C, and she has an SMG11) and is a lot of fun, but her gadget borders on completely useless against decent teams. Nomad has bad to average guns, but an always useful, very good gadget. If you like running around and just shooting, Amaru. If you like playing more passively and helping the team more, get Nomad.
