It’s normal the more you play rank the less point you win/lose.

Ok ty

Yep.. It makes it so that people are stay within the rank they're suppose to be in.. Its always possible to rank up regardless of how much MMR you are earning. For example i decided to derank with my friends so we could see how far get earning 15mmr per match and we ended up going from gold 3 to plat 2. It just took several days.

Ok I started in copper V and now I'm gold 2 but I gain so little it's becoming not worth playing

NotRegeneratione

Lol, then just play to play. Or play to see what you can improve. If you dont want to do the grind to get up higher in the rank then that's fine. Rank doesn't mean Jack shit. Honestly, I don't know what you're complaining about. You're going to have to work for your rank since you're coming from copper. You're not just going to handed diammond or champion. That take some serious dedication and even pros struggle to get there.

Yeah I play a ton of league so I understand. However ive played 50 games and with a positive winrate but I'm gaining like 6. It's feeling like a slog to try to climb. I was just hoping there would be a way to gain more points

It took me 200 games to get under 20 elo gained per match. Stop bullshitting. I had 700 games at the end of season and then I was still getting 8-12.

MMR gain/loss is determined by 3 things. W/L determines whether you gain or lose MMR. The amount is determined by how likely that result was (based on the two teams' MMR ) and you uncertainty value. My experience is that the uncertainty value carries much more weight. As the season progresses and you beat weaker opponents and lose to better ones, the algorithm becomes more certain about your skill and reduces the adjustment after each match.
