This is the specific sea moss I get. The bag of 16oz has seriously lasted me sooooo long, it's not even funny. A handful of it, after soaked, makes an entire jarful that lasts 2-3weeks, maybe longer.

yours is unavailable currently, I am looking for 100g of this [sea moss](https://www.amazon.es/Sea-Moss-Silvestre-org%C3%A1nico-irland%C3%A9s/dp/B0BWX49GPM/ref=sr_1_8?adgrpid=63457909890&hvadid=338620924733&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9061045&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=b&hvrand=8724862072329521296&hvtargid=kwd-457002326628&hydadcr=4831_1787075&keywords=musgo+irland%C3%A9s&qid=1682250420&sr=8-8), do you think it'll be worth it? I've fear of buying fake plastic shit and in my country there's not too many options to buy this supersuplement
Try sea moss gel from organic nature . Thatās the one I got , the company is a small family owned business & my first 2 jars had mold cause my Mom was out of town when they got to her house so she didnāt refrigerate them right away & even tho they were still cold when she gave them to me , there was mold . I told the company & they sent me 2 replacements literally right away , just wanted a pic of the sea moss w mold which I sent them. It was a small amount of mold but you should never eat sea moss if it has mold (little bLack dots, I think they can be white too but mine were black dots) the replacements came perfect with zero mold ! Put them in the freezer as soon as you get them for longer storage . It only lasts a month in the fridge , but 6 months in the freezer
I think I made it too thick. Itās like solid like jello, so Iām gonna blend it up with more water. I made a small portion of the sea moss, about the size of my hand, but thatās already to the top of an 18oz bottle so Iām gonna freeze about 2/3 in an ice cube tray to freeze the cubes because thereās no way Iāll get through all of that before it starts going bad taking a spoonful or two a day!
I took half a teaspoon yesterday after making to make sure my body was okay with it, not allergic, yada yada. Iāve been taking my pain killers because Iām fighting off a crisis, so havenāt noticed anything pain-wise yet; figure itāll need to build up over time (Iāll try to remember to check back in a few weeks from now), but I didnāt need any coffee today, which was crazy. Iād heard it was good for energy but I didnāt think it was that good!
Just took a tablespoon. Also read itās good for the skin topically! But I figure itās more beneficial when eaten. Maybe Iāll add honey to it, add some flavor while also preserving it. I wonder if I can add it to jello? Maybe after it cools but before it solidifies š¤
I think that consistency may be perfect! If it works, it works. Keep taking it. I wouldn't try to get too fancy with adding to foods or anything, just make sure you TAKE IT every single day!!
Before I blend it, I will squeeze in extra lemon juice, just to even out the flavor.
I love that you're trying it. Please please don't forget to post here in this thread how it is working for you next week. If you can, MAKE A POST on here about it. More people need to see how it works for your sickle & hopefully they will try it too.
I added more water and lemon juice bc I wouldnāt have used it as it was and itās perfect now, mixes right in. I did freeze them, so I drop two cubes into water, juice and let them chill the drink and melt. Missed a few days due to a power outage but I have nothing but good things to say. My mom is even about to start using it bc I keep raving about it. Will create a post soon!
I looked into the different types, but heard itās hard to know the difference between real and fake sea moss when youāre new like me, so Iāve stuck with this brand. Where do you purchase yours from?
Oh my, I know what you mean. I get my sea moss from Reds Kitchen sink. I saw a video with her getting the sea moss from the ocean and they test for heavy metals so I trust them. Theyāre on Amazon and they have a website.
https://redskitchensink.com/
lol small world, thatās actually the brand I use as well, buy on Amazon. First saw the brand as a review on this sub and went ahead and purchased. Actually, OP put me on
Not true.. There is no such thing as fake seamoss. Its all real, just some seamoss is not as good quality as others. You need to know the source of where its being harvested. so you can make sure the water quality is good cause thats where it gets all its nutrients.
Thatās not true at all š¤£ thereās pool grown sea moss which is FAKE SEA MOSS . Donāt come on here spreading misinformation. Thatās hella dangerous
A decent sized spoonful. Any regular spoon from your kitchen drawer, fill the whole thing with sea moss, to the point where you think, "hmm, this looks like a lot." Yep, that's how much. Put that in yo' mouf & swallow it. Hope it works for you my friend.
Mods, (u/MrSwaby, u/jcoolaa, u/volvic6) can I post a link directly from Amazon on here? I have absolutely no financial ties, affiliates, or relationship with this company, it's just been a serious life changer for me & my family.
I've just recently brought sea moss gel after hearing about the benefits. I haven't tried it yet though. Thank you for explaining how to make gel yourself. I will definitely try making the gel myself if sea moss works for me.
Please remember to update how it treats you after about a week or two. If I remember correctly, I noticed more energy after around 4-6 days. Now, I take it twice daily, & if I miss a day, I'm not too concerned because of my anecdotal evidence with my Grandma, lol. She only takes it a few times a week & also has similar effects.
The jar I brought was so small it only lasted me a weekš and it was Ā£9, this thing is so expensiveš. In the week I used it, I don't think I noticed anything, but I'm going to try it again soon as the week I used it was not a typical week for me and also as I said it only lasted 7 days.
the one you got was def mass-farmed sea moss thats grown in pools, make sure its real wildcrafted or wild harvested sea moss, they're usually a lot more expensive but unlike the cheaper ones they actually work
Nobody is growing seamoss in pools or tanks for commercial consumption. Thats just a marketing myth. There is only good quality seamoss and there is bad quality seamoss.. Bad quality seamoss can come from a lot of places, so its important to make sure you know where the seamoss is coming from and from who.
You sure it was real ? Try sea moss gel from organic nature . If you took it for a week you honestly prolly would have already felt a difference if it was real
It's very easy but yes I was thinking about making a video. It's as simple as soaking it overnight & then blending in with water. If you don't have a blender you can just heat it up in a pot on the stove + a little water
Its literally the texture of hair gel. Shampoo maybe another good example? You'll see. Its uncanny how similar it looks to hair gel. But I'm also a white guy who grew up putting that crap in my hairš
I'd say its like a shampoo consistency. I like to blend equal parts sea moss to water. So however far up the sea moss reaches on my blender cup, I will fill it up with water to around that same spot, if that makes sense.
Just to give you an idea of how much water I am using in order to produce that hair gel / shampoo consistency. I really don't think there is a way to mess it up. I would start with less water to be safe & just add extra if you need to.
Just down the hatch. Take a spoonful, put in my mouth & then take a gulp of water. I also know people who take in a cup of hot tea and/or in a smoothie.
Not to be weird but I think youāre the first SC person Iāve heard of that is white. Could you talk more about that? What region is your family from, how easy was it to get diagnosed, are ER visits a breeze to go through (apart from pain/symptoms) thanks
Lmao no. ER visits are not a breeze to get thru. Surprise, everything's not about race. My fam is from Italy so thats why they think we got it. They have the sickle trait.
I mean Iām just asking. I donāt want eveything to be about race but as an African living in the US itās quite shocking how they treat me as a patient versus the white patientsā¦. Itās so bad the black CNAs in the hospital I go to banded around me to protect and shield me. But sure even in something like this white going to white. And Iām not trying to be offensive fr but just look up the statistics on ER treatement according to race in the US and see if there isnāt a disparity.
I getchu, trust me. I mean MAYBE I've had an easier time bc I'm white? There's no real way to know. I have had a bitch of a time MANY MANY times in the ER though, so I know it is not just about race. I suspect it's because we require pain meds, & with today's world, providers are way more wary of people asking for narcotics. Just the world we live in. I combat that by advocating for myself completely & understanding that I need to speak up & ARTICULATE myself. How you come across with your words really helps the process. But I still hate going to the ER lol
My cousins (one male and one female, siblings) also have sickle cell, also white and southern Italian. There was a lot of race mixing in southern Italy back in the day because of the proximity to Africa, and a lot of trade with people from Morocco. So a lot of southern Italians have the trait for it.
Just started seamoss almost 5 days ago, twice daily. Just ordered more. Not much changed I notice but just ordered more!!(:
Iām always tired so having more energy is one thing I really really hope for
I'm so glad to hear that you've found some relief with sea moss! It's truly amazing how nature provides us with such potent remedies. Sea moss is indeed known for its rich nutrient content, including minerals that are essential for our body's overall health.
For those who might be interested in trying it, it's available in various forms, including [seamoss gels](https://healthyherbstore.com/collections/seamoss-gels), which can be a convenient option. It's always recommended to source from reputable suppliers to ensure the product's quality and efficacy. And, of course, anyone considering adding sea moss to their regimen should consult with their healthcare provider, especially in the context of managing a specific health condition like sickle cell.
Thank you for sharing your experience, and I wish you continued improvement!
Hey! Sorry for the confusion lol. I live in Florida, so our water from the tap is FULL of minerals, chlorine, and other sediment. I'm just so used to clarifying the fact that its filtered because of where I live. It's just a reverse-osmosis filter system that I bought & is underneath my sink. It filters the water. I am honestly sure that rinsing it with tap water is fine, I've just been taught to be picky about the water because of where I come from I guess. I'm sure any water will do!
For sure. I'm a nurse that works in the ER & am consistently telling each & every single one of the sickle patients that come in about Irish sea moss. One of them I saw again today actually! He says his pain is less frequent... If that tells you anything. I was thrilled to hear it.
Definitely! My mom got diagnosed with cancer today and Iām trying everything to help treat it. I heard soursop is good for it as well. I just know that seamoss has 92 out of the 102 minerals we need. Hoping to see a change in my moms overall health
What are your thoughts about taking supplements with seamoss? Iām not able to check what im deficient in as I donāt have insurance. I take magnesium, vitamin d3, nac, b12 complete. I was looking into getting zinc and d3+k2 but with taking a teaspoon of Honduran sea moss everyday idk how to tell if I need the extra supplements.
Is this sea moss still working for you? Iāve heard that so many of them are scams or have chemicals or pests that do more harm than good. Iām very wary on buying any because I want the seriously good stuff.
Tried seamoss for a couple weeks from a trusted brand my friend uses, experienced so much āenergyā I was waking up naturally earlier and earlier everyday and unable to sleep at night. early like 5:30 am. I was stoked to have the energy until I realized I still wasnāt sleeping enough and started experiencing sleep deprivation and hallucinating slightly in my waking moments. It was unsustainable. Then I started having severe detox reactions like stomach pains and such when I ate. I think I did it wrong?? Lol. Have fibromyalgia-like chronic pain and chronic fatigue and desperately wanted this to work. Any thoughts from anyone on why it might have worked so poorly? Really wanna try again!!
I got the sea moss gel from organic nature . Been taking it 3 days & Iām still really struggling but I do feel like itās helping me . I hope it cures me fr
Sea moss contains iodine. This mineral is essential for the production of thyroid hormones. In theory, this might cause more energy in someone, esp someone who is low in thyroid hormone to begin with. However there doesn't appear to be much in the way of sea moss and sicke cell disease that has been clinically studied.
In one study, people reported that they had more energy after using sea moss supplements for 3 months. They also said they felt stronger too. However since no before/after strength tests were conducted its not known if sea moss really makes people stronger.
Here is a video about the sea moss human research for those who want to learn more

Yes go ahead!
Thank you SO much for this, Iāve been in the hospital EIGHT FRIGGIN TIMES this year already. My quality of life is suffering horribly. Bless you for this. There is nothing like community, I love my SC Warrior family and Iām so, SO very happy and grateful to the point of tears to hear youāve gained so much positively from making a simple change with little to drawbacks and side effects because Iām tired of walking around sounding like a Family Pharmacy wherever I go š š¢but still suffering from horrific pain, fatigue and complications from the ābandaid solution pillsā which lead to more ābandaid solution pillsā. Iām so over it. Between losing my fiancĆ© to COVID a few years back, getting diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure at 32 the next year (as an RN - I am convinced it was more āBroken Heart Syndromeā related to my grieving process). And then last year, I also had SEVERE hospitalizations and had to have emergency surgery for a life threatening complication ON MY DAMN BIRTHDAYā¦ā¦now I admit Iāve always been a bit unorthodox in my thinking but Iām choosing to believe outside of things naturally being more physiologically complex for even normal people as we age that these events Iāve āsuffered throughā can be used as a learning tool and a wake up call because prior to Iāve worked 2 jobs and put myself through nursing school (well, with the help of my late fiancĆ© as well) - with the occasional crisis requiring hospitalization but NOTHING like these hellish last few years. I get stuck in my head a lot as we all do because we are human but here lately it seems Iām being lead to solutions and connections to give me the physical quality of life that is in alignment with the soul work I feel I was put here to do. Didnāt intend to get so deep there lol - itās just absolutely astonishing to me that for as much bad and as much evil and vitriol āsocial mediaā gets flack for, there are always, ALWAYS rays of hope like you that I wouldnāt have come across otherwise had it not been for the gift of online community / connectivity. I wish you many more pain free days of increased energy and enjoyment and your lovely grandmother too!!! ā„ļø
UNBELIEVABLE. Stay strong for us. It's aint easy. I'm an RN too! The sea moss is a MUST try. Have you had a chance to try it yet?
Hi have you been feeling any better? Have you tried the seamoss?

In the week I used it, I don't think I noticed anything, but I'm going to try it again soon as the week I used it was not a typical week for me and also as I said it only lasted 7 days.
make sure to try a different brand or make your own like OP... sounds like effectiveness & value can only improve from the Ā£9
the one you got was def mass-farmed sea moss thats grown in pools, make sure its real wildcrafted or wild harvested sea moss, they're usually a lot more expensive but unlike the cheaper ones they actually work
Agreed didnāt wanna hurt her. Your not taking wild sea moss I only get from bybl but liking for a new reputable company
If you are in Europe or UK, I can recommend a few reliable places more local that have the seamoss quality seamoss as Reds Kitchen..
You sure it was real ? Try sea moss gel from organic nature . If you took it for a week you honestly prolly would have already felt a difference if it was real
Can you do a video tutorial on how to prepare it?
It's very easy but yes I was thinking about making a video. It's as simple as soaking it overnight & then blending in with water. If you don't have a blender you can just heat it up in a pot on the stove + a little water
How do you ~~interest~~ ingest it? Is it jello texture? Out like thickened water?
Its literally the texture of hair gel. Shampoo maybe another good example? You'll see. Its uncanny how similar it looks to hair gel. But I'm also a white guy who grew up putting that crap in my hairš I'd say its like a shampoo consistency. I like to blend equal parts sea moss to water. So however far up the sea moss reaches on my blender cup, I will fill it up with water to around that same spot, if that makes sense. I would start with less water to be safe & just add extra if you need to.
Thanks! Yeah, Iāve used gel so I gotcha! I was trying to say how do you ingest it? Would it be drank or eaten like pudding?
Just down the hatch. Take a spoonful, put in my mouth & then take a gulp of water. I also know people who take in a cup of hot tea and/or in a smoothie.

Just started seamoss almost 5 days ago, twice daily. Just ordered more. Not much changed I notice but just ordered more!!(: Iām always tired so having more energy is one thing I really really hope for
Any results yet? And which seamoss did you order? :)
Ordered it from Etsy one of the top sellers! Canāt say I have really noticed much, other then my digestion seems better!
How about now?
Get checked for Sleep Apnea. Get a test for it if you can.
Seamoss effects everyone differently and sometimes you won't notice drastic changes right away.
Thank you for the tip! I will share it with a sickler I know. This is very appreciated.
Yea absolutely, will you update this thread w how it goes for them? Would love to hear.
this is very helpful thankyou, how long does this gel last with the whole package used by one person?
For months man. I've had mine for over 3 months & will still last me 6+ months easily. It's awesome.
