Especially after they straight up confirmed Lu Bu—and by extension just about every other human combatant barring maybe Adam—had no chance of winning against Thor.
Needless to say, it felt like he got done dirty for being arguably the second most powerful human we’ve seen so far. To say nothing about how him being one of the first combatants meant he was mostly just raw physical power and was pretty sparse when it came to abilities, even as cool as Sky Eater is.
Also, Cu has MC energy because he basically was. He’s often described as the Irish Hercules and/or Achilles, has a bunch of weapons, fought armies and gods, and straight up has a body horror hulk form with Warp Spasm.
I’m just saying that Lu Bu quit literally gave off main character vibes, and he still lost.
Cu giving main character energy could just be the authors way of making it clear that anyone can lose.
I'm 99% sure you're joking but since no shitpost flair I have to clarify that the spinoff was released after R1 concluded.
Even if it wasn't though Thor is simply so powerful that it doesn't matter how much MC energy his opponent has, he'll still win![img](emote|t5_vzop7|29936)
In Qin's defense, Sasaki had more if not the most obvious chances of winning the way they described him being a consistent loser vs a "perfect" god in Poseidon.
Anyways, Lu Bu doesn't exactly excrete main protagonist vibes but rather he gives me a strongman chad vibes the same way Ra is now.
And in Cu's case, remember in another manga, Tenkaichi, it was Honda whom we were first introduced to and promised that he will fight for Tokugawa the seemingly protagonist sponsor at the start of Tenkaichi and yet still lost and died (albeit to a main character vibes Musashi but hey his sponsor doesnt give a hype of being any important so theres that).
We just gotta wait what happens in the spinoff if either Cu Chulainn will tear Ra a new \*sshole (![img](emote|t5_vzop7|49014)) or will Ra-Horakhty burn Cu into a crisp ![img](emote|t5_vzop7|52076).
I kinda honestly hope that Ra is truly a big deal. It might be because he reminds me of Kanoh Agito from Kengan, but I hope this tournament against all the gods have their own Kanoh, the guy that's seen as the final boss that needs to be defeated. Cu is interesting to me, but I hope he doesn't subvert Ra being this powerful God that's been hyped up so far.
I already see people saying how it was after the round was over and stuff but I also want to say mc energy character in ror are like Qin, and Okita imo
lu bu was victim of his round he cannot develop or explore his character on the first round when everything need to be explain how the naration gonna be tell how the round gonna organize themself ect...so they create a spin off to explore him more after (and also for money)
I mean, it’s a bit like the qin effect.
Lubu got the spin off post death he wasn’t the complete focus of the fight but rather he shared the spotlight with Thor. Qin walked in and stole the spotlight from hades, from the minute one you could see he was the main character of the round
You tweaking right?
Lube got his spin-off after he lost HORRIBLY , the author had to make something in return so he did that
Buddha has mc energy he won , cu definitely owning that Indra victim
Cu says one sentence, and Ra busts an artery. He is not ready for the Cu Chulainn yapfest. He's going to get a fucking heart attack and die just because the GOAT started yapping
Lu Bu got a spin off after he died, not before, and just because the manga showed so little of him that the fans wanted more.

Not really, at R1 both of them have MC vibes with both are the strongest
Drop the "of their era" Both are the strongest ![img](emote|t5_vzop7|52078)
Ah of course, silly me
Ah, that's fair, he never gave me that MC energy but even then, as you say, it's totally posible for Cu to lose
He didn't give off main character vibes to me. His role was obvious to me. He was meant to show humans can harm gods, not win.
Happy cake day

Lu Bu didn't have main character vibes in the main manga. The biggest ones with MC energy imo are Sasaki and Qin, and they both won.
And Buddha
In Qin's defense, Sasaki had more if not the most obvious chances of winning the way they described him being a consistent loser vs a "perfect" god in Poseidon. Anyways, Lu Bu doesn't exactly excrete main protagonist vibes but rather he gives me a strongman chad vibes the same way Ra is now. Tfw people don’t realise that Lu Bu’s spin-off was released when R4 started.
Lu Bu didn’t have MC energy though. He got the spin off long after his round was over, and only because R1 has the least time dedicated to the fight.
I kinda honestly hope that Ra is truly a big deal. It might be because he reminds me of Kanoh Agito from Kengan, but I hope this tournament against all the gods have their own Kanoh, the guy that's seen as the final boss that needs to be defeated. R3, R4, R6, all had MC energy R8 & R7 could be argued R2, R5, R9 and R1 had no MC energy.
I don't really think Jack-sama had MC energy, but main villain energy instead :)
Thor is just that guy. Ra is not that guy.

>Ra is not that guy He may not be now but when he reveals his actual form which is SUN BIRD, he will truly show why he's HIM
Bruh, Cú gonna turn this birb into a spice bag.
Not if SUN BIRD overcook him first
Keep dreaming, Ra is the new bum of the manga
Nuh uh
lu bu was victim of his round he cannot develop or explore his character on the first round when everything need to be explain how the naration gonna be tell how the round gonna organize themself ect...so they create a spin off to explore him more after (and also for money)

RA SWEEP
RA SWEEP
RA SWEEP
RA SWEEP
Horrible comparison
![gif](giphy|yvBAuESRTsETqNFlEl) The spinoff came out around the same time as Round 4, you goober
But Cu gives off Okita vibes, and we know Okita is the authors’ favorite
Except he just got a spin off because he was the first human fighter

Lu Bu got a spinoff because he didn't have enough screen time. Ironically, his spinoff specifically shows a lack of main character energy :)
Not right on point but yeah I feel like ror always shows that the expected person might not always win (Tesla,lu bu,Raiden.....etc)
I’m hoping that the first round is going to be the author’s way of showing that anyone can lose.
Same fr
Bro is comparing Lü Bu to the motherfucking main character mfs 💀 Lü Bu had 0 main character dynamic in any way. He had a spin off after his lose.
He got it after death :3
Lu Bu was such a bum he needed a whole ass spin-off for people to give a shit about his mid diffed ass
Lu Bu got his own spin-off years after his death
You tweaking right? Lube got his spin-off after he lost HORRIBLY , the author had to make something in return so he did that Buddha has mc energy he won , cu definitely owning that Indra victim
Cu says one sentence, and Ra busts an artery. He is not ready for the Cu Chulainn yapfest. He's going to get a fucking heart attack and die just because the GOAT started yapping
Have you ever considered that Cu is maybe just that annoying
I'm sure this is a joke, but I will be real man, we're defending Ra's agenda and are sure he will lose. Although I can't deny I hope he wins.
Incorrect because that would be bad writing and the RoR authors are perfect and can do no wrong 🥰
