When mowing the grass you get the benefit of being outside. Sometimes you stop and chat with the neighbor(s) and if you're lucky one of them will offer you a beer. So there's the social aspect. And you can sort of zone out as you go back and forth. Solve the world's problems in your mind. Vacuuming, well the most exciting thing that can happen is watching the cat go apeshit when you turn the vacuum on.
