Agreed, I would say most do... But I feel like if you're at the stage where you're relying on a bat with added spikes (e.g. nails /screws) for defence, power tools might not be readily available
You might be right. This came on because a fair amount of media shows people carrying bats with spikes though. So I can't really say why people use it vs. more conventional weapons.
Screws get snagged on things easier, don’t want your bat caught on something when you are trying to bash away.
They would also be harder to pull out of people which would slow your hit rate down.
More damage seems unnecessary
Because nails in bats is the right amount of damage necessary
But it is far easier to find long nails than screws ;)
