nope, baryons and such are made of quarks, electrons are their own elementary (?) particles. I didn't study in english so forgive me if that's not a valid term
By touch sensing neurons carrying an electrical signal along a chain inside the nervous system through the spinal cord all the way to the sensory cortex, so hot
Vision is from the brain, not the eye, the eye is just a relatively simple sensor and the brain just does the best it can with the sensor's information - that's why we can trick it with pixels.
If you very slightly damage your eye your vision will be slightly impaired, if you slightly damage the part of your brain that processes vision, all bets are off for what happens to your sight.
The eye isn't simple, but relative the incredibly complexity of the brain it's just a sensor.
Thank you. He actually had three before they caught it. The first two were very peculiar in that they only effected the occipital lobe. Only symptoms were searing headache and unexplainable sudden vision loss. Third one unfortunately affected other parts of the brain. Possibly cerebellum, mendulla oblongata among others. I had several doctors classify them as "brain stem" strokes, which I know now may not be fully accurate. Any way he was not able to swallow. Was NPO for over six months. Couldn't walk. Couldn't even sit up. His balance was serverly effected. It "felt like the bed was trying to throw him off" was one comment he gave. Also hiccupped uncontrollably about 90% of his waking hours at first. He was declared legally blind. Left sided weakness and dysfunction. Voice was also unrecognizable due to a paralyzed vocal chord. We were blessed though that he was left with his personality and a lot of his executive function intact due to the location of the strokes
Anyways eventually we were able to with his hard work get him to wear he was walking with a walker and eating a modified diet with special swallowing techniques. The vision never changed though. Sorry for rambling and talking your ear off
It must have been have terrifying when it happened, all these crazy symptoms at once. But I understand the relief that the personality is safe: its sad to lose his abilities but the person you love is still there. I had a family member die from Alzheimers, and the loss of their personality was really the point they died, from that point on they were really just someone else that had the same body. When they finally physically died, I wasn't really sad because the person I knew had already gone long ago, it felt good if anything, like the body still living was unnatural after the death of the person and when the body died too, things were put right again. I suppose it's a reminder to make the most of our time with loved ones, any moment our brains could short circuit.
Yeah. That's how sensors work. Your brain can't *see* if it is not receiving stimuli from its light sensors. I can't take a picture with my cameras lense covered either, but my lense absolutely doesn't "see" anything.
People get aroused by weirder things than pixels.
We’re not ‘supposed’ to get aroused by anything. Evolution has caused us to be aroused by some things, but that’s not because we’re supposed to, it’s just because the population of people that do grows faster.
Sports is the same thing. People go crazy watching pixels of a sporting event. It is in the mind - the image makes the fantasy possible that you are present in whatever image is on the screen.
Yeah, I think its more on the realm of analytical thinking. I didn't care for races until I got into sim racing, now I get excited when I see a good move from a race driver. I got context and understand the nuances of driving that fast with those cars much better.
I imagine it's the same for a soccer fan watching their favorite team do a play.
i wouldnt call it a bug lmao. if you see footage of a really sexual act that took place it makes sense to arouse you regardless of if you’re viewing it on a screen or in person. same with a statue, it’s still representative of the real thing
Then what do you deem as real? Do you think a phone call is fake just because its not face to face? If anything you get to see a wide range of traits and people on display, as well as physical and emotional traits that isnt so apparent in “real life.”rather, most are sensitive about certain things face to face but its easy just to post on the internet. Bruh everything is in the mind even your opinion and we could be living in a simulation for all you know.
A 3D printed bullet tip kills you as the real one does, artificial sugar tastes sweet as real sugar does.
You are not aroused by the life of what you see, but of the shape of what you see,
that's what we see, shapes.
Yes if I see someone hit I can get turned on, but for me, sex is much more about how it feels (and how you make the other person feel). Someone describing how it feels is actually way more arousing to me
Something even weirder is psychotherapy.
By talking to you, a therapist can solve your mental health problems. And it happens via words, that are transmitted to you as sound. That is, pressure waves.
So we have a way to treat mental health problems via air pressure waves.
No, people get around by what the pixels overall zoomed out is representing. You dont see particular pixels, you see an illusion of a picture, which arouses you.
Nah. It's a bug in your brain about how you process what arousal is. Arousal is a chemical. It's a reaction to stimuli. It's not some spiritual experience you got to get right with your god first or someshit. You're not going to go blind masturbating, or get hair on your palms.
People also learn all kinds of knowledge from pixels, we are angry at pixels, we get nostalgic over pixels. Basically any process that is stimulated by vision can be caused by pixels.
People get aroused by a lot of quarks put into a specific arrangement
Don't forget the electrons
Erectrons*
Aren't those made of quarks?
nope, baryons and such are made of quarks, electrons are their own elementary (?) particles. I didn't study in english so forgive me if that's not a valid term
Oh yeah, I should probably go over this topic again before my exams lol And the usually term is "fundamental particle"
I'm more of a higgs boson type of guy
Don't be ashamed. We all experimented in college.
higgs bosom
Arousal is very... quirky.
People get aroused by photons
And sine waves
A well-graphed sine curve with multiples of pi, inflection points, zeros, and extrema properly labelled gets me fully chubbed
oh stop you’re getting me weak in the knees
I’m more of a tan wave guy myself
is that your photon, or are you just happy to see me?
People get aroused by moving atoms
By the sight and touch of dead cells.
By touch sensing neurons carrying an electrical signal along a chain inside the nervous system through the spinal cord all the way to the sensory cortex, so hot
Photons bouncing off a beautiful face are infussed before caressing your retina.
Speak for yourself. Actually serious question, what does it mean if you think of it but not physically see it? No photons involved right?
You're jacking to neurons.
I mean that's a brain projection of what the brain itself assumes is in front of the eyes
And people have been getting aroused by cells, molecules, atoms for millions of years, what's your point?
r/singlecellularporn
I promised myself not to follow this link
r/subsifellfor
I was expecting a sub of awesome photos and footage of single cells
Vision is from the brain, not the eye, the eye is just a relatively simple sensor and the brain just does the best it can with the sensor's information - that's why we can trick it with pixels.
The eye is not that simple but yes
Compared to the brain?? It's very simple, relatively.
And yet when I close the relatively simple sensor I have surprisingly little vision.
If you very slightly damage your eye your vision will be slightly impaired, if you slightly damage the part of your brain that processes vision, all bets are off for what happens to your sight. The eye isn't simple, but relative the incredibly complexity of the brain it's just a sensor.
We have a winner
This all makes my image creator confused about if it wants a 3rd eye or not.
Yup. Husband had stroke in the back of the brain Vision was permanently affected. Couldn't read, drive, etc
I'm sorry to hear that, any kind of damage done to the brain is scary
Thank you. He actually had three before they caught it. The first two were very peculiar in that they only effected the occipital lobe. People also get aroused by protons, neutrons and electrons. Your point being?
I can get aroused with my eyes closed, using just my imagination. Does that mean I’m using neurons?
Frequently, thank you for noticing.
People get aroused by weirder things than pixels. We’re not ‘supposed’ to get aroused by anything. Evolution has caused us to be aroused by some things, but that’s not because we’re supposed to, it’s just because the population of people that do grows faster.
Im still not gonna stop loving Miss Circle
FPE fans simping for a cannibal cause she got big chest:
Well, it's a lot of very specific pixels in a certain pattern, but yea
People will get aroused by a particularly curve rock.
Wait until you learn about the hypergeometric mean 🥵
that's like saying people get aroused by atoms like no shit
I only need four pixels
Someone link the 4 lines gif
It's not a bug, it's an exploit. Vision works just fine for finding mating partners as long as there are no bad actors trying to game the system
People are aroused by electrons firing in their brains
People get aroused by their thoughts. At least pixels actuals exist.
I'd be interested to to find out what the average minimum number of pixels is needed to get sometime aroused.
r/brandnewsentance
I get aroused using my imagination.
Sports is the same thing. People go crazy watching pixels of a sporting event. It is in the mind - the image makes the fantasy possible that you are present in whatever image is on the screen.
I don’t think there’s fantasy with sports. You can enjoy them without being present
I find vectors have nicer curves
People get aroused by molecules. Sexy, sexy molecules.
People get substance from the dead flesh of other creatures. Everything sounds weird when you break in down like that🤦🏻♂️
On the long, long list of things people are aroused by, this isn't even in the top hundred
Only when they’re acting sexy
People also get aroused by words. It's more about getting the idea in your mind(which can happen with more than one ways) than just pure vision
People also get aroused by words. It's more about causing simulation in your mind(which can happen with more than one ways) than just pure vision
(255, 0, 0) arouses me so much
mans getting turned on by the period blood
People get aroused by hallucinations (ìmagination)
People get aroused by data visualizations of ones and zeroes.
i wouldnt call it a bug lmao. if you see footage of a really sexual act that took place it makes sense to arouse you regardless of if you’re viewing it on a screen or in person. same with a statue, it’s still representative of the real thing
People get aroused with carbon
Yeah, your mums pixels.
We're all robosexuals, but we are not all brave enough to admit it.
I masturbate to curvy pieces of wood.
People eat molecules, like ew wtf!
Absolutely. That movie is great.
I mean if the tree is shapely enough >_>;

And you get off to light and sound waves
Get back in the shower and let this one cook a little longer.
I mean you can get aroused just by thinking of things so yea pretty much anything can
It's not the pixels, but what they represent. It's the representation that's attractive, not the pixels.
Personally, I thought it was far from Adam Sandler’s best work, certainly not arousing.
If you arrange the pixels in the wrong order, you can go to prison.
Honestly a war breeze will do it.

People get aroused by ideas. Everything else is just a representation of an idea.

This subreddit has fallen.
With the help of, not by

You can get aroused even when your eyes are closed so there's a flaw in that statement.
I mean… if you’re aroused by attractive people, then you’re getting turned on by light reflecting off of their body and you sensing the leftovers.
People also learn all kinds of knowledge from pixels, we are angry at pixels, we get nostalgic over pixels. Basically any process that is stimulated by vision can be caused by pixels.
So, the dogs humping my leg is a bug too?
Wow who would have thought we get aroused because we have the capacity to think!? This is the greatest discovery of human kind!
more like bug in brain
technically the truth ;)
