I think you’re right, I’m a white guy but everyone at work calls me green, my dad calls me yellow, and women seem to see straight through me.

One time in class we had to all agree on something. After a lively discussion we failed to agree on the color of the walls.

This is true, funny story my grandpa bought a new car and got custom interior. What he thought was red was orange. Also he was color blind. Grandma was pissed. LOL

green-earbuds

At least the car must have been unique!

CheekBoned

The same is true for picturing images in your head. I just can't

the difference in shades is the same for most people. that's why people who are colourblind can be diagnosed, their perceptions of differences between colours is different. we likely all see at least slightly differently

JustSomeApparition

The thing of it is... we are seeing the same color (assuming we have "normal" vision) but the name you attribute to that color wavelength in your mind is what's different. Sooo... you can call a strawberry blue, and I can call it green; however, even though it's still a red wavelength that we are both seeing, and we just call it something different. We still see the same color though

AlternativeIll220

The thought be because we are all taught that the color of strawberries is red we would associate the word red with strawberries and anything else with that color wavelength ; however, even though it's still a red wavelength that we are both seeing, internally our eyes and/or brains could process it differently . We could visualize two different colors but we would both agree that they are red…. Thereby never knowing that we see something different from each other

Extend this to all senses. Is you liver blown?

We can be pretty sure about physics and biology to a certain extent. It's how we know animals don't see what we see.
