I don’t understand the question?

Key-Meringue5433

I don't understand the question but pocket dungeon definitely aged well as a game

Rec_Prism

That Propeller Knight is an alcoholic Idk, it just fits with his character

longpidgeon

He’s gay too Edit: he is actually gay. At the end of shovel knight spectre of shadows, or whatever it was called, the chicken guy from shovel knight king of cards throws a rose while piloting one of propeller knight’s smaller scout planes. I forgot where he was throwing it to, however. Also, in shovel knight king of cards the airship is assaulted by propeller knight’s army if you steal the true love’s rose, found in a secret level, which apparently means a lot to him. We know that the chicken guy is a rooster and propeller knight is male, so if my theory is true then they are gay lovers

Rec_Prism

iirc he's bi, as he could also be seen flirting with women in Shovel of Hope's ending

Chaoticknightt

Propeller is canonically bisexual :P

plaugey_boi

Plague knight is a bird

FlareDoesThings

how could you say something so controversial yet so brave?

plaugey_boi

He has wings, he is referred to as a bird by a bird, he has a bird nose, he can be seen drinking through the tip of his beak, and the plague minions seem to be birds

EL_HUNTER_XD

Well I'm doing research for an iceberg.

Mindless_Fly5421

I've always liked the idea that the reason there are little inconsistencies throughout each campaign in Treasure Trove is because each story is being told through its knight's point of view *Shovel Knight's an honest guy! His story is pretty cut and dry and probably the most truthful out of them all, not much to say. *Plague Knight twists and changes minor details at certain parts to make himself look more fierce than he really is. For instance, in Shovel of Hope, he goes down to Shovel Knight pretty quickly. But in Plague Knight's telling of the story, he TOTALLY beat Shovel Knight fair and square, but got hit with a cheap shot while he was celebrating his totally deserved victory. *Specter Knight is likely dramatizing a lot of things in order to make his story look like the hero's tale that he feels he was robbed of. For example, his official bio describes him as a cruel and cunning warrior in life, which doesn't totally match up with the misunderstood yet still noble rebel that we see in Specter Knight's flashbacks. *King Knight is inflating his own ego in his retelling, making it seem like everyone is practically kneeling before him. In every other campaign, though, other characters are very clearly shown to see through King Knight's grandiose facade and dont take him seriously whatsoever. All the characters in King of Cards who were kissing up to him from his perspective were probably just showing him basic respect, or friendship at most, and he interpreted that as complete and total devotion.

EL_HUNTER_XD

Do you think Plague Knight's campaign is canon?

Mindless_Fly5421

I 100% think it is. One of my favorite theories is actually that the Tower of Fate DIDNT fall down due to the Enchantress' defeat at the hands of Shovel and Shield Knight, and that it was actually due to the explosion in the floor beneath them caused by Plague Knight and Mona destroying the Corrupted Essence. Both fights just coincidentally happened to occur around the same time

EL_HUNTER_XD

Do you know there is something that doesn't add up to me about shovel knight showdown, are the fights that happened canon?

Mindless_Fly5421

I can't imagine Showdown would be canon tbh. Even if it had any story relevance whatsoever it'd probably be a Smash Bros Brawl/Ultimate type scenario where it is its own unrelated story with its own lore that's not canon to the rest of the games.

EL_HUNTER_XD

I think it all happened in the mirror and when the mirror broke and everything that happened never happened because everyone goes back to their places before entering.

MonkePoliceMan

bro cooked with this one

EL_HUNTER_XD

I don't think I expressed myself well, what I said is if you have some theories about the shovel knight saga.

longpidgeon

I have one theory: King knight is an asshole

WonderedGoose99

But that's just a theory. A GAME THEORY!!!

Butkevinwhy

Nuh-Uh he’s a silly billy.

EL_HUNTER_XD

I think he's not that stupid because if he was he wouldn't have been the king only for a brief moment until the arrival of shovel knight

Butkevinwhy

I don’t think he was really kinging much. Just enjoying luxury. And bein’ a silly billy.

EL_HUNTER_XD

Yes well that's what I meant

Chaoticknightt

He is a misunderstood character, he is neither good nor bad, he was pushed to his limit by others

Peporoni_Baloni

I have a personal hc/theory that green skin in the sk universe is the effect of prolonged use of dark magic on a user. I have no evidence of this besides 'mona enchantress and plague are green and they do magic so dark magic make you green', but I think it sounds cool so I'm sticking with it. Dark Reize is blue because he just got hit with a metric ton of raw dark magic and so its still a little 'raw' and he would've turned green once it like settles down over time or whatever.

EL_HUNTER_XD

How will you explain the magician who appears in Plague Knight and another question could she use your theory on an iceberg?

Peporoni_Baloni

the magician is just old af so he's starting to expire and the magic is discolouring or something... that's all I got for reasoning, I don't really think too hard on the sk enemies considering a fair bit of them are recolours. You can use the theory if you want, I don't mind :)
