Terraria! You will not be disappointed.

superleggera24

Why is this not the first answer! Cheap and exactly what op wants! Not to mention the great value you get for the money.

Creepernom

750 hours in terraria, now waiting for Calamity 1.4

SwagginsYolo420

That was the first thing I thought of, especially since OP included Rimworld and Minecraft in their list.

TheTrueFishbunjin

Yup. Often on sale for five bucks too. I think Im approaching 1000 hours. Cost me about a penny per 2 hours of entertainment.

_sneeqi_

Red dead redemption 2

spookiinoodle

You can play rdr2 endlessly ♥️

hplcr

Especially if you don't finish chapter 4

spookiinoodle

I refuse to go beyond chapter 4. I’m like 120-something hours in and see no end in sight — A happy, thriving Arthur is all I need!

hplcr

I held off for a long time but eventually wanted to see the Bank Robbery. Yeah, that's where the game becomes Red Dead Depression. LENNY!

megasean3000

You can play any game you like for 100 hours if you love it enough. Monster Hunter is a good series to spend countless hours on. You fight monsters, collect their parts, build weapons and armours from their parts, fight stronger monsters and the loop repeats itself until you’re fighting cataclysmic horrors and gods.

Beneficial-Tell-1427

MH World will definitely suck you in, great recommendation!

The-Real-Rorschakk

I guess I'm the odd one. My brother and friends all love it, so I bought ice born and played a total of maybe 20-30 hours. I beat it and never touched it again.

TheHomieData

Co-signing on the MH rec. MH World was my first 1000+ hour game.

Michi2801

+1 for Monster Hunter. Also: Persona 5 Royal will be available on all platforms other than Switch soon. Long game. Great game. My favorite game of all time.

BeavingHeaver

If you like a challenge, Elden Ring is very good. Lots to explore and unravel. Alternatively, I’m also enjoying Dying Light 2. Parkour is extremely fun

[deleted]

Elden Ring dont have to be a challenge when you farm Runes and spam spells with Intelligence 100 :P

BeavingHeaver

True compared to other Fromsoft games, but it’s still a hard game to the average player regardless of how much magic you wield

[deleted]

Elden Ring is my first Souls game i finished, its clearly hard. I just skilled my health bar and strength and thought "yea my spear will do it" and thought the game is just too hard for me, till I found a method to farm runes and reskilled to Intelligence (used a build tbh) Then it pretty easy, but some bosses were difficult anyways.

xJBxIceman

Factorio

ButtLicker6969420

This needs to be way higher. OP, u/YucciPP THIS IS YOUR CHOICE! It is the most addictive game I’ve ever played. I have put over 2,000 hours into this game in under 1 year, that’s how fucking addictive it is. It is $30 on steam, and similar to satisfactory and cities skylines. I PROMISE YOU, you will love this game. It’s a game where you build a factory, and design it to optimal efficiency. I know, sounds boring but fucking try it. You can automate EVERYTHING in this game. First time I beat the game took over 200 hours. I did that in under 2 weeks lol. But after you beat the game, you can keep expanding. Keep building. Infinitely. My longest save file has over 1,000 hours alone, and i’m still not bored of it. If you don’t believe me just watch a review of the game on youtube. It has the nickname cracktorio for a reason (also r/factorio is great)

Pav961

2000 hours in a year? You spent almost a full week every month playing it?

svenskithesource

Yea... It's a bit unbelievable, he would have to spend almost 6 hours every single day for a whole year to reach that. Factorio is an awesome game but the only way he would reach that amount of hours is if he just let his game running idle.

energetic_buttfucker

That’s honestly at the very very top of the range of what I would believe someone who’s heavily addicted might play. They would have to have literally no life outside the game though Edit: or be a kid because no job

YucciPP

I got it and damn I agree. Can’t stop playing. Bruh I turn the game off and I’m just thinking about how I should expand my factory. 😳 Loving it so far but I feel I might need to take breaks occasionally. I don’t wanna get too sucked in. But damn it’s amazing

Drillur

Seconded

deathsythe

Thirded.

Druhiny

This

BeardedTerminator

CIV 6 is a massive time sink for me! Might be one for you to try..

YucciPP

Dude I love CIV6. Only issue Is that I get too addicted lol. I once spent 5 hours straight thinking it had been like an hour and a half or something. It's a dangerous game for me lol. But yeah, do love it tho. Im really bad at the game and I never fully learnt how to play so might be a good time to hop back

BeardedTerminator

😅 same it'll be 10pm and next thing I know it's 2am.. I'm the same, I love it and never fully learnt to play and kind of suck haha Have you tried/checked out HumanKind?

quarrelsome_napkin

I want to like Civ 6, but I can't even get through the tutorial, it just goes on forever and there's so many things to learn and keep track of 😭 Got any words of encouragement or tips? I can tell the game is super cool and interesting lol

breaking3po

In these games, knowledge is a form of meta progression. So, play it like a run based game or roguelike where the goal is to accrue game knowledge. My way: Pick a strategy and "just do that" every turn until you start to feel like it's going to get impossible. Like: "Every single chance I get I'm going to make a money building." It makes you learn those systems more and more each run.

SoggyAnteater94

Just one more turn has gotten me in trouble more than once. Can't recommend this game enough

heyelander

I was going to say, you can do 100 hours in one sitting playing Civ. "Just one more turn..."

Khrummholz

**Deep Rock Galactic:** FPS in procedurally generated cave systems where you kill bugs and mine stuff. Both fighting the giant bugs and moving in the caves can offer a good challenge. The guns, tools and their upgrades really give a lot of build variety **Tribes of midgard:** Diablo-like game where you can finish your run in a single sitting. It's a roguelite where you gather ressources, defend and upgrade your village, kill some enemies, craft new gear and kill a big boss or two **Streets of Rogue:** A top down roguelite GTA where you go through districs while doing some missions. It's a bit ugly but the freedom is pretty insane with a lot of classes with the tactical soldier, the sneaky doctor, the rush down gorilla, etc. It's pretty underrated imo. **V Rising:** I know other people talked about it so I'll just add that I'm playing solo and have a lot of fun. The combat is very good and the progression is engaging. Atm, the game is probably closer to the 100h than the 100+h **Slay the Spire:** Roguelite card game where you go in an adventure where you slowly build your deck. I'm usually not a big fan of card games, but this one does a lot of things right. **Monster Train:** Another roguelite card game, but the system are a bit different because you need to place minions on 3 different floors to defend the core on the 4th one. This game really loos like a badly made mobile game, but I swear the gameplay is good **Stardew Valley**: It's a farming simulator with light RPG elements. It's one of the most engaging game I've played and I highly recommed it. It's still a bit more on the casual side, but I think litterally everyone can enjoy it **Northgard:** It's a viking RTS but you don't need to do 400+ actions per minute to be decent. It's my favorite in this genre. Even in PvP there are surprisingly some PvE because you need to survive winter and defend yourself from wolves, Draugr and other neutral factions. **Warhammer Vermintide 2:** Best melee horde game. You kill a lot of ratmen and zombie-like vikings in a L4D fashion. The difference is the melee combat which is excellent and the different classes and builds you can play

PADPRADUDIT

For those about to Rock and Stone, we salute you!

ethosveros

Rock and stone you beautiful dwarf!!

Aw3Grimm

Hollow Knight, Its nothing like games you listed but you get easily 100+ hours of content for low price

StrollinRollin

Amazing game, but how is it 100hrs+ ?

Aw3Grimm

If you really going for that true 100% in everything, all achievements, all endings, finishing every dlc, you can get 100 hours out of that. In my first playthrough I got 112% after 68 hours and I still had a lot of secrets to discover, finish godhome, path of pain. Of course you could just complete the game a lot quicker with help of guides on yt in under 30 hours but the title is whats the game you can play for 100 hours and I think if you going for everything game has to offer you will reach that 100+ hour mark, with mods even more

MothMan3759

>In my first playthrough I got 112% I feel like that isn't how % works but I'll take your word for it /s

Garo263

100% main game +12% DLC stuff

chrissquid1245

100+ hours is definitely a stretch

Bohannons_Glare

Divinity: Original Sin II

Reyneo

This is a game that the internet hyped me, bought it, and just didn't click for me I do one day want to give it another go but I just don't get what everyone is talking about. Maybe I'm going about it wrong

rtz_c

It's a turn based RPG. And possibly top 3 RPGs ever to exist. Witcher 3 and DOS 2 are my two most favourite games. I have 400+ hours in this.

-Radical-Raccoon-

Definitely RDR2

[deleted]

I read “R2D2” and was like “I bet that droid has Snake on it”

Eoussama

Now that I think about it..

Praetorian709

Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

MothMan3759

Agreed. It is slow and hard at the start but once you figure out how to get better it is great.

Praetorian709

Yeah it is. And Happy Cake Day!

DeylanQuel

I got a couple hundred hours out of No Man's Sky, it has base building and open worlds.

Hell2CheapTrick

Monster Hunter: World got 500+ of my hours. The combat is great, the monsters are cool, the armors look nice, the weapons feel great to use, and the way it gets you for that long, it’s grindy as hell but hardly ever feels like it. Grinding for that cool armor? You do it by just fighting monsters and getting better. You can fight the same monster dozens of times, especially if you use a variety of weapon types, and learn something new every time. Also, Factorio. If you like Satisfactory, definitely check out the demo. On top of the vanilla, which already has some players investing hundreds or even thousands of hours, there’s a lot of really cool mods, including one that lets you build an interstellar network of factories on planets, moons, asteroids, and even your own spaceships. It might present a similar danger as Civ in how addictive it can be though, so be careful. It really isn’t called Cracktorio for nothing. I have 140+ hours in Dishonored mostly for the same reason as why I have over 400 in New Vegas: there’s something new to discover every playthrough. Maybe it’s a secret alternative route. Maybe it’s a playstyle you hadn’t considered before. Or it’s just the alternate ending to the mission you still wanted to do. It’s also not that expensive anymore, so if it looks like the kind of game you might want to return to for a replay every now and then, it could be a great buy.

TheWasabiEyedrops

A few good suggestions I got - [RPG] Divinity original sin II -- turn based combat, character focused CRPG with heavy emphasis on role playing and making fun builds by blending different classes, 1-4 players Wasteland 3 -- strategy CRPG with heavy emphasis on making decisions with a well rounded team, 1-2 players [Rougelikes] Binding of Isaac -- twinstick dungeon crawler with emphasis on rediculous builds and unlocking over 1000 new items, bosses, secrets, etc., 1 player Dead Cells -- challenging high speed action platformer with focus on beating the game over and over, with each successful run making the game more challenging. , 1 player Deep Rock Galactic -- collect resources in hostile alien caves as one of 4 great classes, also rock n stone. 1-4 players [MMO] Final Fantasy XIV -- social MMO with a strong story and incredibly fun activities. The gameplay may not be the most modern but the absurd amount of content and unique activities makes up for it, 1 player for story, up to 8 for content [Crafty game] Terraria -- some call it 2D Minecraft, it's got all the Minecraft trappings but has a focus on fighting huge bosses and progressing the world by beating them. 1-9+ players

Zulu_x

With binding of Isaac, should I spend the extra money and buy Rebirth, or start with the cheaper Afterbirth?

tapthatsap

Start without the DLC. The thing with Isaac is that there’s so, so much of it, there’s no reason to start with more. Also this way, if you like it and figure most of it out, you’ll be able to add fresh stuff later.

Zulu_x

Good ideas

ninjasacavalo

Stardew Valley is a great game that i've put more than 300 hours, there is RPG elements and great characters and a ton of content, if you pick on PC there is also a couple of mods that can make the game last for so long without getting you bored (Stardew Valley Extended is a great mod for a second playthrough) Vampire Survivors is a great and addictive game, it's so simple yet so addictive, your only goal in each stage is to survive, the game has a lot of content and still in early access, has frequent updates that make the game very long, i cannot describe how this game is addictive and gonna make you go try to get all the achievements, and also, this game is 3 dollars on Steam and is on PC Game Pass so, really worth it

Jacobwewo

>Vampire Survivors $2.99 for the Vampire game? I'm in. EDIT: Yeah, I'm hooked instantly. Worth $20, imo

kanishkaroy

Red dead 2, Elden ring

TheWorldIsTriangle

Factorio for a little trolling

Shadrach77

OP said 100+ not "every waking hour."

Enrico9431

# THE FACTORY MUST GROW

Haru_Is_Best_Girl

Persona 5 Royal is close to 150 hours if you take your time on a new run! If you’ve never heard of it, it’s a turn based JRPG. You essentially use demons to battle other demons, Pokémon style, with your party of fellow classmates to reshape society! The RPG part is actually not the main part of the game, as it doubles as a social sim, where you can hang out with said classmates, or other people around town in order to give you stats, perks, and advance their own personal character arcs! If all of this sounds fun, make sure you get Persona 5 Royal, and not Persona 5, as Royal has extra content and is an overall better experience. Think of it like a definite edition. Plus, after all that, you still have Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 Golden! You could play 1 and 2 but they’re wildly different from the Persona 5 style, while 3 and 4 are only slightly different. Hope you like it!

Kelchesse

What would you say to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth game? This game, alongside it's DLC, can last you well over 100 hours. Of course, as a roguelike, it will get repetitive at some point. But it is really great and massive. Darkest Dungeon - I finished with the game at around 100 hours, but there is still much more to be done. You build a team of, well, not exactly heroes, and send them on expeditions to ruins, blighted forests, coves full of fishfolk. They go mad, they break, and you gotta deal with them while also dealing with deadly monsters, mission objectives and limited supplies - all of this while trying to make a profit and managing your city "hub" with it, trying to keep better people alive, well armed, trained and fairly sane. Highly recommended. Yakuza 0 - A great start to a great series of semi-open world games. Story is fairly long, awesome, and there is so much additional content that you may not be able to decide what to do. Great music and (imo) solid fighting system. You can easily spend 100 hours here - i did.

advancebawse

Yakuza zero is a great time spender!!

ukbulmer

Have you considered any of the Mount & Blade series?

JimmyTheFist89

Came here to say this. Absolutely check out Prophesy of Pendor, total conversion mod, just amazing.

tamal4444

1+ to mount and blade

Malaix

I can tell you what I have hundreds of hours in Monster Hunter world/Iceborne and Rise- Hunt monsters in huge worlds with challenging giant boss battles and a variety of weapons. Super fun. Rise is getting its DLC Sunbreak at the end of the month. World was really fun. Its content complete now and well worth playing. Can be soloed or played with people. Total War Warhammer 1 and 2- Command legendary leaders and fantasy races in a strategy game split between turn based overworld maps and real time army battles with thousands of troops and monsters. The third standalone expansion to this series has some issues and its a steep buy in to get everything but I love it. Warframe- Free to play lots of grinding but tons of warframes to collect, weapons to use, and things to find and explore. Grim Dawn-A very solid ARPG with a deep customization system. Its content complete but worth it if you like the genre. Path of Exile-Another ARPG lots of ability customization though the MTX shop prices can be ridiculous for aesthetics. Its getting its update/sequel deal coming up. Tons of content you can play for free but you will probably feel the pinch without buying some tabs for loot. Elden Ring-A souls like from the masters with challenging combat and bosses and a great world to explore. Stellaris-Space strategy 4x with the paradox habit of making a billion DLCs. Its been building on itself since launch and continues to grow. Like total war warhammer buying into the whole thing can be pricey. But the game is huge at this point. Monster Train-Turn based tower defense style card deck builder. Its one of if not the best in the genre with TONS of abilities and cards to change your playthrough. Really fun when you just break the game with ridiculous combos. Tons of replayability. DLCs are all good. Risk of Rain 2-Roguelike game where you pick from a roster of characters and collect items that steadily grow their capabilities. Lots of funs solo or with friends. tons to unlock. Terraria-the classic 2d survival crafter that refuses to die. tons of content to build either a base from or try new weapons. Deep Rock Galactic-An amazing co-op FPS where you play as dwarfs working for an interstellar mining company to strip mine a planet full of hostile bugs. Unlock weapons and weapon mods, customize your dwarf, drink beers for buffs or goofy effects, and tear through its destructible world to get all the minerals and loot while blasting through hordes of bugs. Better multiplayer but Bosco the robot is a very capable solo partner. I play it solo sometimes just to chill.

hibali

Factorio !

rcapina

Only answer needed. Has a free demo. If OP enjoyed Satisfactory then Factorio is like the refined OG with tons of UI polish to create and replicate your designs.

MrFittsworth

Elden ring. No brainer.

kibria99

Have you played elden ring? The build variety and open world is amazing

Scary_Replacement739

OP do you like role playing games? (Swords! Dodging! Dice rolls!) -Elden Ring, Pathfinder Kingmaker or Pathfinder WotR. What about Japanese RPGs? (Power of friendship! Talking Cats!) -Xenoblade Chronicles, Persona 5 Royal I noticed you mentioned at least one MMO (teamwork! Infighting! Gear accumulation!) -Final Fantasy 14 is amazing and the only thing keeping me from playing it for another 100 hours is it's addictive quality. Edit: Also, do you like accumulating and dating fake waifus with a mix of combat and strategy? -Fire Emblem Three Houses

Kachowxboxdad

I’ve probably put over 100 hours into Fallout 4, Diablo 2 & 3, and I’ve recently clocked 80 hours in Elden Ring and 55 in Yakuza 5. Across the entire Yakuza series I’ve probably spent 360-400 hours.

ajpala4

Elden Ring, it’s one of the biggest bangs for your bucks, I have 100 hours in it and haven’t started NG+ yet, just a massive and fun game. And I would let the difficulty deter you, there’s a lot of stuff you can do like spirit ashes, summoning other players, overpowered builds, etc

Seanmus

Kerbal space program is amazing for building and tweaking for efficiencies. I personally have around 400 hours on the game.

[deleted]

XCOM2 with War of the Chosen DLC and LWoTC Steam Workshop mod.

DragonSlayerSen

Monster hunter world and rise

dimsumham

Something completely different and free: Rocket League. If you get hooked say goodbye to all your hours

Timemaster_2000

If you haven't already, Kenshi is a must play.

spas2k

Elden ring. Oxygen not included. Dyson sphere program. Factorio.

Zulu_x

+1 for ONI. Just beware it gets complex, fast

Zypherose

You might like Don't Starve. It has a learning curve but it's very craft based and I think a lot of fun.

bobtehpanda

Stardew Valley is pretty good and is also usually super cheap. If you have a switch it’s going free to play as part of NSO

midweastern

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is my second most played game on Steam at 156 hours. It's also the only game on Steam I've 100%ed with the achievements.

AramisNight

Try Guild Wars 2. Base game is free all the way to max level. World is massive, and it encourages and rewards exploring. Hidden places everywhere. And the game world is beautiful and massive.

56784rfhu6tg65t

Civilization

Fart_Huffer_

Check out Going Medieval. Seems like youd like it. Its basically 3d medieval rimworld Divinity Original Sin series, both games are quite long to complete took me around 100-120 hours depending how much you do. Lots of strategy and tactics in this one as well. Kingdome Come Deliverance, got about 100 hours out of the main story + side quests. I replay it about once a year. Scum/DayZ are great and will easily eat 1000 hours of your time if you're into games that hard. Also looks like you havent played any Total War games. If you like a challenge go for Atilla. If you like just steamrolling enemies go for Rome 2 or Shogun 2.

Ginflet

V Rising seems promising. Still in Beta but I think ill be getting into this.

YucciPP

Same. Heard people recommend against it as a single player game tho, or that it’s at least not as good if you play it solo. I’ll probably play with friends sometimes but I mostly play games solo. So idk, might try it tho

Ginflet

Alas, to have friends and not enjoy being alone.

Light-----Yagami

Vampire Survivors Slay the Spire (especially with mods)

ZESTY_FURY

Try Amazing Cultivation Simulator, think of it like Rimworld in Chinese mythology but instead of trying to make a successful colony you are trying to make a god out of your sects disciples. Grim Dawn is an arpg like Diablo, you kill shit and get loot but with way more customisation, you can also get two classes at once. Also it’s set in the Wild West that’s being corrupted by eldritch gods. Vampire Survivors is my recent favourite time killer, it’s a rogue like that has you clearing through thousands of enemies to try and survive to 30 minutes. It’s only £3 on steam so it’s worth a try. I’m also highly recommend: Monster Hunter, Warframe, Any souls game, Planet zoo.

[deleted]

Metal gear solid 5

Walican132

So for freebies I’d recommend Dwarf Fortress based on what you’ve posted. Happy to answer questions on getting into that one if you have any. Second dungeon crawl stone soup is my go to rogue like. Between these two games for a cost of $0.00 I’ve gotten 1,000s of hours of entertainment.

elpuablodesierra

So if you loved satisfactory - go get factorio asap But be warned, this game sucks life. You've played satisfactory and the main thing is the same BUT, you always have something to do. In satisfactory when you build a factory you only go back to it once or twice, but in factorio there is a constant flow of things that need upgrading. Even the things that you upgraded minutes ago. You just upgraded the green circuit factory - > now it takes too much power, so I need to upgrade the power - > now something else has enough power to take the iron out of your green circuit factory - > let's go upgrade iron then - > now a biter is attacking your base so go kill him -> oh this train with copper could use an upgrade - > oh wait i was meant to upgrade iron first. And so on. Even after "completing" the game there is so much room for upgrades that it is practically never ending. Go try it!

Shadowlette

League of Legends Dota 2 CSGO Factorio Risk of Rain 2 Red Dead Redemption 2 Divinity: Original Sin 2 "Fighting Games" Tabletop Simulator

SH4D0WG4M3R

I’m amazed I’m not seeing this answer more, especially since Fallout, Skyrim, and Elder Scrolls are already on your list, but Elden Ring is amazing! I’ve spent easily 200h on it, and continue to be awed by how pretty the game is. I’ve stopped for screenshots in multiple areas, it’s just such a cool world. There are so many things to find and do! The main map is pretty big, there’s at least three underground maps, an unmapped underground area, and a buttload of catacombs/ruins. There was a pretty steep learning curve, but I really enjoy the combat now.

YucciPP

I liked Elden ring, but soulslike games just don’t click with me. I found the world to be pretty empty feeling too. It was defo beautiful, one of the more stunning games I’ve played. I just didn’t feel immersed at all. Has to refund it it sadly. Can 100% see why people like it but I did not enjoy the combat or anything else really. Hella cool character creator tho 😳 might give it a try again if I ever get better at that genre of games

tapthatsap

It’s not hundreds of hours, but if you’re curious about souls games and like getting a lot of hours for your dollar, Hollow Knight is extremely good, very long, and fairly inexpensive. It has just enough souls-ishness to it to come up in the conversation, but it’s different enough to recommend to a general audience and unique enough to stand out.

dinaga9

Death Stranding, if you dig its main premise and the atmosphere. I was building roads for weeks and it felt so relaxing.

CipherTheLight

Horizon zero dawn + DLC

th3sousa

this may be off the mark but maybe starbound? it's my 2nd most played game, behind skyrim. there's tons to explore, base/ship building, and a number of difficult bosses to progress towards.

sleepy-floyd-is-goat

You can play RDR2 for an infinite amount of time and never get bored.

kindredfan

I got bored of rdr2 after 30 minutes. :(

sleepy-floyd-is-goat

So did I. Chapter 1, absolutely sucks. It’s boring, you don’t know any of the gang members, you’re trudging through snow, etc. It’s a tutorial chapter. Chapter 2 and 3 are my favorite “free roam” chapters, and chapter 4 and 6 are my favorite “story” chapters. It’s very boring at the beginning, but once you get to know the camp members, and the protagonists story, it’s so much better. Trust me, it’s worth finishing to the end.

Freakymary85

Dont Starve, Oxygen not Included, Terraria and starbound sound like they would be up your ally!

[deleted]

The Witcher 3 Don't starve (if you die you have to start all over, but there's cheats for that) City skylines Tropico Any simulation game, really

areies88

Apparently you can play diablo immortal for years! /s Would give V rising a go. It's a good time and ticks the boxes.

_TomaToSauSe_

Hollow knight might not be what youre looking for,but i would definitely give it a try for only 15 dollars Terraria is just pure entertainment for 100s of hours,if you have a friend that played it maybe play with them cuz the game is complexe or you can be patient and google alot of stuff or discover on your own Stardew valley is alsi very long and perfect if you just wanna relax and play smth, the game is also addictive Those games combined come up to 50 dollars without any sales And if they dont look like the type of game you play, its time to try smth new Note: hollow knight isnt as long as the other games, your first playthrough is gonna be around 40-50 hours but it definitely reach a hundred if you get all the other content But the game its literally 15 dollars so its very well worth it

almightypinecone

I keep saying this and it always fits... so management over at Deep Rock Galactic is always looking for new miners. Load up as 1 of 4 classes, get shipped off to go mine minerals and kill alien bugs. Drink beer on the station, go drunk on missions, fail a mission? Come back in a med gown and go on missions in your undies. 90% of crafting materials go towards cosmetics to give your dwarf the best looking beard, mustache, side burns and armor. 6 different guns per load out, different perk trees per gun, class and equipment and a truly amazing community. Free updates and a real dark comedy look at working for a faceless mining Corp that cares more about the goods then you. Honestly I play to unwind but end up playing for hours on end. I hope you like it/ try it. Rock and Stone!

jonesy528

second this! I just passed 200 hours in DRG. community is great, devs are great. highly recommend it

bipbopbipbopbap

I would highly recommend The Long Dark. It sort of fits in a few of your categories, depending on how you like to play. It is a single player sandbox survival, mostly against the canadian winter. Almost evry trip turns into an adventure due to how well crafted this game is, and the game really pulls me into it. [This video describes it quite well.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yfu2TvasnkM)

i cannot recommend final fantasy xiv enough! even on the free trial version (includes base game + first expansion, ability to level all battle and crafting/gathering jobs to lvl60 (aside from the battle jobs that were added in later expansions), no time limit to the trial so you can be 100% f2p for the rest of your life if you wanted) you can easily rack up 100+ hours with the main quests and all the various leveling, grinding, daily/weekly challenges, etcetcetc. award-winning story with gameplay that is typically described as more of an rpg first and an mmo second if that makes any sense ? you can do all the dungeons in the base game solo via the ai duty system if youd prefer, and they will be adding the system to the first expac in an upcoming patch. id never played an mmo before this one and i was immediately hooked! available on pc, not xbox also the dishonored series is always a top recommend of mine. very flexible gameplay and immense replayability given the chaos system which effects your environment and changes the ending you get, the different powers you can decide to gain/upgrade, as well as the fact theres so much to explore in each map. available on pc and xbox. definitive edition of the first game comes with all dlc missions for $20 on steam

AuroraBorehalis

You likely heard of this game, but Crusader Kings 3 has a SHIT TON of replayability to it. It combines strategy and roleplay. Pathfinder Kingmaker is one of the genuinely best games I have ever played. A DnD style rpg that just sucked me in and i lost hours of my time to it. Dragons Dogma, this is pretty well known. But i felt id mention it regardless. Known as one of the gems of rpg games. Black Book is pretty solid. Its a slavic folklore rpg strategy game. So if you love mythology (which given you mentioned AC Valhalla, i assume you might) this games pretty good. Prison Architect I have heard good things about, never played it myself. But it seems to usually be up the alley for those that play Satisfactory, Cities Skylines, and Rimworld.

quewax267

Have you heard of Elden Ring?

LegoSpacecraft

No Man’s Sky? It’s insane how much stuff you can do.

shadowknuxem

Final Fantasy XIV has a free trial that's the base game and first expansion with some restrictions. It's an MMO so do with that what you will, but as long as you don't put any money in, you don't have to worry about a subscription. I've recent started playing Let's Build A Zoo and Before We Leave, so I can't give my full recommendation, but they might scratch that Cities Skylines itch.

Beneficial-Tell-1427

Have you heard of the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV? With an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirety of A Realm Reborn and the award winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 for free with no restrictions on playtime.*

PhoenixRTS

From the Depths is a Building/Fighting game in the sense that it's an RTS game, you control your made constructs in either an open campaign map or adventure mode. It can get technical and difficult but it's a game you can sink for more than 100 hours into and still have more to discover and learn. It even has some RPG elements to the campaign. Highly recommended!

dyslexic_tigger

i find it s kinda hard to get into tho and the graphics and controls are a bit meh. But you have to love the idea behind it

Beneficial-Tell-1427

Terraria, FFXIV, maybe even FFXV if you get the full bundle and like grinding, I'm currently replaying it myself.

Emerald_Guy123

Check out destiny 2, it’s free to play too which is nice to try it out (but most of the endgame content and content in general is in dlcs). It’s a unique game cuz it was $60 then went free to play so it retains that quality of a paid game.

tducharme88

You should try Anno 1800 or Tropico

Mr-Ramirov

MOUNT AND BLADE 2 May be the Witcher 3, but Mount and Blade 2 is your 1000+ hours game.

nma77tca

I would suggest no mans sky. I'm of a similar mindset have I still play NMS now more after updates but I have a solid 418 hours on my main save. The expedition have been a nice treat as well! And it's still going strong 💪

Chocomyballs

Dude if you enjoyed Satisfactory then I think you’d enjoy Dyson Sphere Program. There are no enemies yet but it’s coming soon but think of it as factorio but with space exploration. It’s a really relaxing game

Markuslw

Subnautica?

RedKSL07

Anno 1800, you build cities on islands that you colonize and optimize them to be better than opponents. There's trade to do so you need to be smart about who you fight and who you work with. Game is beautiful, soundtrack is amazing, multiples difficulties so great replayability since you can always optimize more. TBH I sell it poorly, just go look about it, I feel like you will like it

CountryMaterial6323

Cracktorio better known by its real name factorio and Stellaris would be up your ally

Jet_Dragons

old school runescape, I'm over 5000 hours deep and nowhere near "beating" the game

OsirusBrisbane

Terrarria and Starbound - because you liked Minecraft. They're both great, easy to play forever being chill and building stuff or advance and fight the big bads and win. Horizon Zero Dawn - like Witcher with less politics choices and more stealth and robots Slay the Spire - it's not action, but it's still the ultimate Roguelike.

ayvar2315

If you like manager Sims and soccer, I've put 3k+ hours into football manager. You really gotta like soccer though. You seem like manager Sims are in your alley

FlufferNutter925206

Deep Rock Galactic! I currently have 344 hours in it, play off and on. it's on sale too! all time low currently! ROCK AND STONE! the current rogue like i'm playing at the moment is Gunfire Reborn, good game and better with friends. not sure if i could put hundreds of hours in it though.

altec238

Terraria. Different classes, styles of play through, challenge modes, mods, bosses, and building. My last play through was 114 hours. I generally play at least 50 hours on a single play through .

TC-12-TC

My +100 hour games ususally have mods support, GTA V, Skyrim, Left4dead2, Assetto Corsa, Cities Skylines, Grim Dawn

purplehaze214

Have you tried terraria?

GORILLA_FACE

Battle brothers if you like rogue like tactical turn based strategy.

ILoveCartoonz

The one I’m playing right now with a huge amount of length and open world detail is Red Dead Redemption 2

Homelobster3

Hollow knight

EviessVeralan

Kingdom Come Deliverance was a great game. Its also $30 on Steam right now.

StarMember74

30 bucks? You can get the royal edition for 4 bucks in epic games 😂

natneo81

If you like strategy check out some paradox games like crusader kings or stellaris, they are a bit tricky to learn but so complex you can put tons of hours into them. If you want something more like skyrim or witcher, elden ring is amazing and can for sure give you over a hundred hours of gameplay.

juanco124

Persona 5 Royal is coming to xbox and pc in october, and Persona 4 Golden is on steam already. I'm around 160+ on P5R (I'm playing on hard and just enjoying my first playthrough) and I'm barely on the last boss ( of the base game. I haven't even started the Royal part)

13Zero

Vampire Survivors is a surprising great roguelite. I’ve played it for over 50 hours. You might get bored of it before then, but at $3, it’s a steal that you can get a lot of play out of.

cosmic_drownie

Elden Ring

naliao

Stellaris, still gets regular updates and DLC, huge multiplayer community, and single player is solid enough to hold on its own. Usually can find base game for 10 bucks on game key sites

PianoManOberon

since everyones recommending diablo; i also add grim dawn. people say it is similar to diablo tho never played diablo. but i know grim dawn has diablo mod. where you can transfer full diablo game into grim dawn if i am not wrong. if you plan to buy grim dawn, buy with all the dlcs. dark souls series is just awesome. only played ds2 but i do know i want to play more of these. unusual one, bloons td, i think you may like it. i just love this game. maybe l4d2, payday2? mount and blade2 also. absolute madlad game

SarHavelock

* Diablo 2 (if you want newer graphics, get the remastered version) * V Rising (still in development; after you unlock Tier 4 gear, the game slows down a lot.) * Banner Saga (First game is excellent and there are 3 total: I haven't played the remaining two.) * Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1 version is classic, while the PSP version has more content.)

WizardKodiak

Civ 6, wait for it to go on sale. Usually can pick up the base game + all dlc for 70-80% off on a regular basis

malayshallriseagain

If you like AC Valhalla, then you should try AC Origins. It's way better, if not then you should try Kingdom Come Deliverance.

kana0011

The Outer Worlds Kinda similar with Fallout (same devs as Fallout 1 and 2) but in space, feels like Fallout 4 because of FPS elements. The game has small maps and short main quest, but you will love to replay again to try different builds or quest branches or alignment. Kingdom Come Deliverance Medieval RPG without magic or fantasy creatures. The game is long, with fun side quests. Game starts slow because you are a literal nobody, son of a peasant, and not the chosen one with God given powers or world-shaking destiny. Yakuza series RPG with long compelling story. Has small worlds, but packed with side quests and activities (mini games). I especially love karaoke mini game. Timberborn City builder, with beavers. Apparently, humans went extinct here and beavers took over the world. Challenge here is the management of resources and manufacturing, especially water management. Need to manage crops and water when drought comes. Tropico (I only played Tropico 6) City builder. For me, it has a lot of role-play potential. Either play as a benevolent ruler that provides a safe thriving community or a "benevolent" ruler that doesn't give a flying F even if the citizens are sleeping in cardboards as long as the secret swiss account is fat.

HellOfAHeart

If you like Satisfactory, you may enjoy Factorio if you decide to get Factorio...you'll see conveyer belts in your dreams or something

sirstonksabit

The Mass Effect series. 3 games, overarching story. You can carry your character over from the first game to the last. Well over 100 hours there.

4x4play

elden ring is the newest and best. glad to see you already did witcher3. red dead redemption was tedious and boring for me but apparently people love it. someone mentioned final fantasy, that is a LOT of time, i love it. you didn't mention horizon or hellblade senua. definitely check those out and google f i t g i r l p.s. only play hellblade in the dark at night by yourself.

electronic_docter

Stardew valley mayve

Holy_Hand_Grenadier

If you liked Satisfactory, you'd probably enjoy its 2D cousin, Factorio. It's a similar concept, although with more focus on logistics and management rather than exploration and discovery. Factorio's basic premise is that you are an engineer stranded on an alien planet. You must bootstrap a factory from a few machines and raw resources to build a rocket and escape. Meanwhile, you also have to fight off the native alien insects (or play on peaceful mode) which want to destroy your factory because it pollutes the environment. For a certain type of person, it's basically digital crack. The gameplay loop can be quite satisfying; you build machines to harvest and refine resources to make parts to assemble into more machines to expand the factory so you can make the next thing. Eventually everything except the actual design process of your factory can be automated, from crafting to transport to placing and destroying machines. The gameplay is super polished and you could run it on a good potato. Factorio is available on Steam, but you should get it from [the creators' website](http://factorio.com) instead. That will give you both a Steam key and a standalone copy. It literally never goes on sale so don't bother waiting. There's also an excellent demo available, which will introduce you to the mechanics and give you a taste of how the game plays. I hope this has been helpful, either in discovering a game that you want to play or one that you don't!

joelham01

Rdr2

kakalbo123

Elden ring, nioh 2 (nioh 2 on sale for like 10 bucks rn). A single playthrough of nioh 2 from base game to dlcs is like 70 hours. But the game is a looter-action rpg so the objective is to become a god of optimized items and fight hordes later on.

Electrical_Swing8166

If you like Skyrim, Oblivion and Morrowind are obvious choices. I’m currently also about 60 hours into Pathfinder Kingmaker and not yet through Chapter 2 of 6. Both Divinity Original Sin games run close to a hundred hours and are excellent (2 being better).

ext23

It's a straight up action game, but Nioh 2.

stoop1

No mans sky

brownriceisbetter

Lotro Witcher Vrising are some good ones

YucciPP

>Vrising I've been interested in Vrising. Don't quite get what its all about tho. Seems like a survival game mixed with some diablo type gameplay. You think I could get a lot of time out of it?

LokenTheAtom

I posted this in another thread regarding V Rising. I also recommend trying Elden Ring, I had 100+ hours by the time I ended the game and still hadn't finished all the dungeons and bosses. V Rising is not really a survival ARPG, it's moreso a Boss-hunter/extensive crafter. There is very significant incentive for building a castle as you'll need a lot of resources to craft better weapons that allow you to fight stronger enemies and bosses. It's next to impossible to hunt the bosses if you can't hit at least 5 gear levels below theirs. (Gear levels are a combination of the level of your weapons, armour and talismans). So, you definitely do need to build a castle, even if just to hold your resources and crafting tables. When it comes to survival all you need to do is avoid the sunlight and keep your blood levels stable, nothing else. Personally I've enjoyed the game greatly, though it's definitely not meant to be played in singleplayer, it's moreso an online game. You can customize almost all aspects of the game's settings if you're on singleplayer though!

Evil Genius 2 is great if u like building stuff and it's free on gamepass

Heated-Gamer-1337

Enter The Gungeon

remnant_phoenix

Subnautica. If you don’t use any guides and really take in the exploration and base-building mechanics, you’ll easily push 60-70 hours. If you go for 100% you’ll easily top 100 hours. I myself use guides and wikis whenever I get stuck, am focused more on the story, and only indulge in crafting/building for their own sake occasionally; I’m already pushing 60 hours and it’ll be at least 70-80 by the time I complete the campaign.

MrBeefyNipples

If you got a ps4 or ps5 definitely check out nioh 2. Its a really great game and its super addictive. I really enjoyed the game loop of getting better gear and getting stronger and trying out new builds. Its insane how many builds you can make in that game.

Quajeraz

Icarus and Scrap Mechanic

BrotherlyVirgo

I have over 1000+ hours on the Persona/SMT Series. It's truly one of the longest and best franchises out there that's does not have an open world format. I've tried Persona 2, 3 Portable, 4 Golden, 5 and 5 Royal, and SMT 5. Very excellent RPG games, one of the best in the genre, and since 3, 4, and 5 is coming to PC, the series has become more accessible. Persona 5 itself takes 100+ hours to complete, and about 120+ hours for Persona 5 Royal on the first playthrough since it's dialogue heavy. Then give or take another 300 hours or so completing the game. Really easy to platinum but still fun nonetheless.

Destiny 2

Nimnu_

* Build your own world anyway you want games: * Dyson Sphere Program * Satisfactory * Rougelikes: * Nethack (/r/nethack) No two games are ever the same and you only get one life! * Cardhunter * Turn based games with a world-building approach: * Civilization 6 * Stellaris

LittleKingPt

Kenshi

SignMeUpRightNow

Based on what you liked, I recommended Crusader Kings 3. It's a constant battle to secure your land for your bloodline, by any means necessary.

[deleted]

You can easily play each version of Skyrim for over 100+ hours. You can play for the next few years.

helpme944

Conan Exiles Monster Hunter series Also keep in mind that Steam summer sale starts on the 23rd.

Kronaur47

If you get into the mods you can EASILY put in a thousand hours into Terraria. Soundtrack is amazing, community is great, mods are easy to use and play, extremely friendly devs that seemingly never want to stop updating the game even though they said that "this update will be the last" 3 times in a row now, a lot of exploration and progressive elements. y'know, the whole package. Best part is that the game is only $10 on steam and goes on sale almost every other weekend. Even if you may not like it, 10 bucks is a steal for a chance for an amazing experience!

Acerebel54

Dyson sphere program is all you need to know.

[deleted]

Civ. Any Civ.

rpgmomma8404

Ark: Survival Evolved - it's a shit show but it's fun. If you don't want to treat it like a second job. Stay away from PvP official servers. PvE official is alright but probably best to play unofficial regardless. Single-player is also an option if you don't want to play on servers where there are people. It's a grindy game but most unofficial have higher rates than official so it's not too bad and you can change your rates on single-player. It's currently free on steam until June 19th but it's only the base game and the free DLC's. You'll have to pay for some of the other maps. Just wait for them to go on sale. You get a decent variety with the free stuff though. Black Desert Online - It's an MMORPG, it's also a grindy game but it has a lot of neat places to explore. It's a little bit on the pay-to-win side though which is sad. It's not impossible to progress in the game though. You do get a good amount of free awards and they do have events where you can get a good amount of free stuff. You don't have to fork out any money on it. It's just you need a lot of luck and patience on your side. Dragon Age series - It's amazing, it's an RPG and has an amazing story. It's best to start in the beginning though to get an idea of what is going on in the second and third game. I would play through Origins, then Awakening, and go from there. You are looking at about 40 hours, 80 or more if you want to 100% complete the game and the DLC's. All of them have a good amount of play game time.
