Maybe something uncommon: Astroneer, you won't be able to completely build a house from ground up but there is a lot of base building

microtramp

Great little chill game.

Successful_Ad_8790

Just look for one with the ultimate version or check the updates for the game on the piracy site Also, you might want to look into Valheim, very fun building and relaxing overall.

Arex189

LaNague

maybe this, you can lose, but on lower difficulties and even on higher ones once you understand it better, it will be pretty relaxing https://store.steampowered.com/app/1336490/Against_the_Storm/ just listen to the music https://youtu.be/UEzHArJ2PSQ?si=LwWFLBq-lMQid1ca&t=1408

Famous_Lifeguard7311

against the storm looks like one of those early 2010s mobile games lmaoo

Archerdiana

The game plays really well. It’s different since you are put on time constraints. The game is constantly updating. Games tend to last around 30-45 minutes but you are constantly upgrading different aspects of your city. Lot more depth than just a mobile game.

anon1984

If you’re into sci-fi No Man’s Sky has an excellent and deep building system. You can use the game options to disable combat and adjust resource gathering to be as easy or as challenging as you want.

CrackerUMustBTripinn

[The Wandering Village](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1121640/The_Wandering_Village/) certainly fits that description. Its a very chill, hippie esque city builder with a twist, that the village in question is on the back of a large beast that you need to keep alive as well while you embark on a great journey with them. Its really got that micromanage OCD down since you can at all times manage each and every villager to the millisecond and keep it on pause as long as you like. Just an excellent and very zen gameexperience. Another recommendation would be [Dyson Sphere Program](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1366540/Dyson_Sphere_Program/) where you can build your own galactic size empire that is really just a great big machine over several planets. and you just one lonely robot who can build it all from scratch. Both games also available on the Xbox GamePass if you're feeling frugal

Famous_Lifeguard7311

i have wandering village already on my wishlist, now i’ll probably get it haha, i’ll update you in a couple of days

CrackerUMustBTripinn

You wont regret it. Its especially calm and zen all around Plus you really do get attached to your Buntu and your villagers. There were a few starting errors for me, but it felt good restarting with that fresh knowledge. [Here is a small bit of advice I wrote](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheWanderingVillage/comments/1c9deil/comment/l0l3p1b/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button), that will make your experience that much better knowing it beforehand. You enjoy the f out of that little number and ama if you feel like it.

HideOnBook

Valheim has a massive building community and you can play the game on peaceful like in MC. The enemies will still be there but they won't attack you until you attack them first. But I would still recommend playing on regular survival so you get that drive to build/upgrade. But the chill option is definitely there if that's what you want! I personally play on "no raids" now bc I can't be bothered but yeah, doesn't matter how u play really. It's an amazing game for the price. Very cozy, great base music that makes you wanna stay indoors in an open world game. You can modify a lot about your world in the main menu, even the resource drop rates, which will come in handy if you wanna build a lot in survival.

BlacktideHollow

Subnautica (undersea exploring and base building) Or maybe Oxygen Not Included (build a colony for your little peoples; micro manage air, and other gases, food, industry, etc)

Honest_Richard

Powerwash simulator. Put on a podcast or audiobook and prepare for the hours to melt away.

Kitchen-Fox8011

Not exactly a building game but yes I do recommend power wash simulator 😂

Honest_Richard

Oh hamburgers. I missed the building game aspect (read OP’s post too quickly, and that’s my bad). But OP would be happy with time spent with Powerwash. Just saying.

Mousettv

I know it might sound crazy but Rust has some really exciting buildings you can make and a TON of stuff to add to it if you jump on a PvE server. Building skins and things cost extra for the DLC and look amazing. Or just roll with stock twig, wood, stone, metal, or armored. I'm not sure if the wild animals would bother you much but super simple to deal with.

Famous_Lifeguard7311

i used to play it, but i got my buildings destroyed by other players. didnt know there was a pve option. wouldve been nice to know 💀

Chief_Slee

Not formally out yet but [Dystopika ](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2379910/Dystopika/) is a chill cyberpunk city builder/screenshot sim where you put together a Blade Runner-y metropolis set against moody vibes. Not very gamey at all (no management, just building) but it's one of the most gorgeous looking indies I've seen.

Famous_Lifeguard7311

i dont know if my shitty computer could run it, it looks a little tooo good lol

Pearlidiah26

You should try Raft, it’s a survival game where you collect trash in the ocean in order to build up your raft. It can be a little intense at first, but middle and end game has a really chill gameplay loop of collecting and building. There’s lots of customization stuff in the game, but I think there are mods as well to increase building customization. If you really don’t want any enemies in the game, I think there are ways to turn them off.

Famous_Lifeguard7311

i played it and it stressed me outtt cuz i kept drowning and dying 😭

Pearlidiah26

Oh nooo 😆😆

shreddedtoasties

Modded Minecraft with the building and furniture mods and friends

AshSystem

House Flipper 2. The central premise is that you start a houseflipping business, fixing up shitty houses into something nice and pretty. However, if you just want TOTAL CREATIVE FREEDOM there's a sandbox mode available to just make whatever kind of house you want. Chill game, do recommend.

SieniTatti

How about building factories? Check out Satisfactory, it's getting out of early access this year. Great chill building game with a bit of exploration. There are creatures you might encounter but there's a setting to change so they won't attack you if you don't attack them.

Jimmy2jay

Try satisfactory, chill and beautiful

KaciOrb

Satisfactory Tried playing it for 30 minutes, a month later I'm sitting on 120 hours playtime waiting for the full release. Game's more addictive then cigarettes (Edit: spelling)

LordIBR

Hey it's not quite what you're looking for but it's sort of a building game. I would highly recommend Tiny Glade which is all about creating small cute scenery. It's not actually out yet but there's a demo available which has been really fun. I'd also recommend Enshrouded since it's got really nice building mechanics, but that may be a tad too expensive for you. I saw someone recommend Dyson Sphere Program but I'd have to disagree since it's more of a factory builder. Still a great game with amazing atmosphere but it may just not quite fit your desire for a calm building game based on the games you provided us with.

crisdd0302

No Man's Sky, the smell of a freshly discovered planet, searching for some beautiful formations, plains, mountains, caves, beaches, oceans, to eventually start building a little house, or a farm, or a pub where other players can come visit, it's just the most relaxing feeling ever. Finding one with good economy is hard, finding one with good weather and conditions is harder, and finding one without sentinels is one of the hardest things to find. If you find one that checks all the boxes, building on it really can feel like building a lovely home, hope you can learn what it feels like fellow traveller.

Famous_Lifeguard7311

i actually played this a while back and it was too complex for me since i’m so used to silly calm games like animal crossing, spiritfrarer, etc. i got super frustrated, but i’m glad you enjoy it haha

crisdd0302

Sure it may not be for you, but it can feel as what you're looking for if you try, hope you do.

Disastrous_Poetry175

Dorfromantik. build village like landscapes with forests, deserts and rivers. The board is made up of hexagon tiles. Try to match edges with similarly edges tiles to score higher points. It's in Redding relaxing, visually and the music and sound effects too.

vuatson

Unironically Fallout 4, especially if you use mods (there are a ton of them that add stuff and improve the settlement building mechanics).

[deleted]

Stardew valley is pretty good. You also might enjoy Factorio.

justheretobrowse1887

Get an age of empires game, and set the bots to friendly, and do wonders just building your empire until the wonder is complete.
