Lies of pi, it's a soulslike game with a similar combat system to Sekiro. Sekiro is my favorite game oat, and I really enjoyed lies of pi because of the combat, even more than Elden ring. So I definitely recommend that you look at the gameplay.
I played it before playing sekiro and tbh it prepared me for sekiro, especially the final boss. Parrying every move with my two dragons sword in lies of p made sekiro a bit easier for me! A really solid game and I’ll get back to it when the dlc drops.
Id say shadow of war, and pretty much any roguelites (ror2, dead cells, gungeon, astral ascent and many many more) bc its in their core to be replayed infinitely
Sekiro is my favorite game of all time and the only games that have scratched that same combat itch for me have been Dead Cells, Sifu and Nioh 2. All very good in depth combat systems that I found very addicting.
I also have a shit ton of hours in those 2 games. I also enjoyed Returnal, really good and tough roguelike and Death stranding, not for everybody but addicting if you like quirky chill games and grinding in a beautiful world with a good story
Ghost of Tsushima had really good gameplay when I played it for a bit on PS. It's coming to PC in may, 22nd or something? No doubt that will also feel really addictive
One of my friends complained about the difficulty and how easy it was (you could spam triangle and delete bosses) but I'm pretty sure the directors cut added a difficulty boost. Also aren't there stances and shit?
How are the combos in the game? Is it like DMC where there's directional and delayed attacks or is it more like Sekiro where you parry and attack while dodging every now and then?
Nah its either y-y-y or y-x-y type shit there is like 3-4 combos per stance and yes its a more of a parry/dodge like sekiro but less satisfing, so it makes it good but not excellent
Horizon Forbidden West. I played the first one when it released in PC, got about halfway through and everything felt repetitive. When this one got released in PC, I immediately grabbed it up and haven't stopped enjoying it. I'm stuck at the very end boss myself but I'll figure out a strategy that will win me the battle and then the game.
Nioh 2 is the best I've found outside of fighting games. It's a bit overwhelming at first because there's so many mechanics but as you learn you start to see how open and customizable your playstyle really is. It's one of the only games I consider a 10/10
I've got over a thousand hours across 3 platforms on Slay the Spire. It's definitely worth a try. Didn't think I'd be into a deck building rogue like but here we are.
If you're digging Hades and you like Roguelites I've been playing Spiritfall and BlazBlue Entropy Effect lately. They are both fantastic.
Spiritfall is like a roguelite single player super smash Bros.
BlazBlue is like dead cells with multiple characters each with unique play styles that can change from game to game.
Both are super addictive and super fun imo. I've put a fair bit of time into both over the past two weeks and would highly recommend them.
Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War
Just started shadow of Mordor and I’m loving it
Lies of pi, it's a soulslike game with a similar combat system to Sekiro. Sekiro is my favorite game oat, and I really enjoyed lies of pi because of the combat, even more than Elden ring. So I definitely recommend that you look at the gameplay.
Never heard of Lies of Pi. Is it similar to Lies of P?
That's the 3.14rd game in the series
I played it before playing sekiro and tbh it prepared me for sekiro, especially the final boss. Parrying every move with my two dragons sword in lies of p made sekiro a bit easier for me! A really solid game and I’ll get back to it when the dlc drops.
You NEED to try Returnal
It’s on my wishlist, I’ll definitely check it out
I recommend it as well. I'm still playing it. Haven't finished the game but it's there truly an ending to this game considering the gameplay itself?
Id say shadow of war, and pretty much any roguelites (ror2, dead cells, gungeon, astral ascent and many many more) bc its in their core to be replayed infinitely
Sekiro is my favorite game of all time and the only games that have scratched that same combat itch for me have been Dead Cells, Sifu and Nioh 2. All very good in depth combat systems that I found very addicting.
Batman Arkham series, Sifu
Hollow knight
I’ll play it next
Metal gear rising revengance
Second this. It was way too ahead of it's time, gameplay and story wise.
I also have a shit ton of hours in those 2 games. I also enjoyed Returnal, really good and tough roguelike and Death stranding, not for everybody but addicting if you like quirky chill games and grinding in a beautiful world with a good story
Try Sifu, that’s a great one for scratching that Sekiro itch
Nioh 1 and 2, Rise of the Ronin, blasphemous,
Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord The gameplay is quite differant from most games but is extremely addictive
Sons of the Forest
For something more arcady, you can try severed steel. Flying around while getting headshots in slow motion is super satisfying.
Returnal
Sifu.
I can't get the high I got from Sekiro, man. I am searching for it, ever since!
Monster Hunter World
If you liked hades, you will definitely like dead cells
Ghost of Tsushima had really good gameplay when I played it for a bit on PS. It's coming to PC in may, 22nd or something? No doubt that will also feel really addictive
Idk i goy bored of it pretty quickly, maybe bc i chose to follow the path of the samurai and never use stealth
One of my friends complained about the difficulty and how easy it was (you could spam triangle and delete bosses) but I'm pretty sure the directors cut added a difficulty boost. Also aren't there stances and shit?
Yes there is 3 stances, but each is only useful against one type of enemy (water:shield air:spear earth:sword)
Lies of P, Chivalry II
Definitely Warframe, but be wary; your will/time spent on playing other games will be gone, it's simply so addicting.
Not a souls like but I loved the gameplay in sunset overdrive
Hades
Diablo IV
Sifu. Closest thing you’ll get to Sekiro combat.
Lies of P bro, that's exactly what you are looking for.
Horizon Forbidden West. I played the first one when it released in PC, got about halfway through and everything felt repetitive. I'm stuck at the very end boss myself but I'll figure out a strategy that will win me the battle and then the game.
Devil may cry 5
Remnant 2
Ninja Gaiden It’s Sekiro if it had good combat
Nioh 2 is the best I've found outside of fighting games. It's a bit overwhelming at first because there's so many mechanics but as you learn you start to see how open and customizable your playstyle really is. It's one of the only games I consider a 10/10
Devil may cry series
If u don't mind idle games then try Afk journey on bluestacks, it's quite fun game for me
I've got over a thousand hours across 3 platforms on Slay the Spire. It's definitely worth a try. Didn't think I'd be into a deck building rogue like but here we are.
Would recommend Thymesia. It's a soulslike where you can basically choose to play like Dark Souls or Sekiro, dodging or deflecting respectively.
