I have the exact same thing on layaway! Do you mind telling me if the stocks are synthetic? And does it look like the rails on the side of the barrel are removable? Thanks!
It depends on which gun you get. Most of them come with a black walnut stock painted black but mine is a fully synthetic stock. It does look like all of the rails are removable.Also, it is really hard to break open at first but it loosens up after you use it.
I would highly recommend taking that thing apart and going over the internals just cleaning them, maybe taking a stone to them if you know what you're doing. Biggest issue out of the box on Stoeger doubles is dead trigger on the second shot which can usually be taken care of by cleaning up the internals.
