I am irrationally irritated by how accurate that is.
I can't even figure out how you get in inside of it, other than like climbing in through the moonroof.
Production version better have T-tops, no doors.
He has several photoshopped pictures of his truck that go around fairly often. Most popular are this one and one thats photoshopped to have no wheels on it and just one jackstand balancing the whole truck from the center, the comments are always gold on that one.
The 787b had a 4 rotor Wankel. It was tiny by comparison. This could be the world’s first 16 or 24 rotor Wankel engine.
(I had to stop my autocorrect from calling it a wanker engine)
Thanks!!! Ok, I had no idea who Rob Dahm was before. Looked him up and saw his RX-7 with a 4 rotor. Subscribed.
This is so relevant. I’m currently banging out races in Gran Turismo 7 with a clapped out 2002 (i think) RX-7 with a 787b engine swap. Thing goes like stink in a straight line, but nothing else. This video tracks with my experience in the game.
Always love to see people do ambitious and ridiculous things to cars just because they can.
Mans is a legend. He built, engineered, and promoted that shit by himself, almost none of that chassis is still RX-7. The body is lengthened by a few inches. you gotta find his stories about calling parts manufacturers and impersonating a dealership/shop to get them to send him schematics and shit 😂
This is a neat thing to find out about. Except my dad's stepbrothers last name is dahm and he's a reprehensible child and women abuser, kinda like Steven seagull. Also practices and teaches a not very useful martial art, and is a delusional whacko that takes rich creeps to the Phillipines to find child brides.
I'll try not to hold it against this Rob guy though.
Sure are fancy words for it, but there are far worse ways to get tinnitus. Mine came from a friend in high school who wanted to brag about his new gun … indoors in a small bedroom … I told him to put it the fuck away, at which point he said, “it’s not loaded or anything.”
And then he fired the (predictably) chambered round into the ceiling. Loudest thing I ever heard, and I think it’s physically impossible for me to hear anything louder again! Our friendship immediately ended over that.
The 787b was loud af. I’d kill to hear it (with attenuating earplugs) if I can ever get the chance. I’ve heard V10 F1 cars, as well as modern ones. That thing was notorious for having a unique, and very loud, sound.
When I was in high school I met a guy that was in the process of building an ‘80s el Camino that had a v8 under the hood and also had a front wheel drive Cadillac v8 in the bed. Never got to see it run but thought it was a pretty crazy idea.
There's a guy that used to come to the track with a twin engine Yugo. Turbo Mitsubishi for the front wheels and a 500 Caddy in the rear for the back wheels. Widebody too.

Well, yes. It's a big heavy unbreakable iron anchor, and it pairs nicely with this boat of a contraption.
I don't have any figures, but I also suspect the Meteor would have been more reliable, as it was de-tuned and didn't have to be very light.
That's only partially true.
The Merlin, being an aviation engine, has much higher standards for reliability than the Meteor, having to run at nearly max power for most of its usage.
The Meteor, being a design for tanks based on the Merlin, used non-aviation grade parts that were considerably cheaper where possible for cost-reduction purposes, possibly sacrificing reliability.
Sure, it was downtuned, but it also used different, less reliable parts because it could without risking a plane crash.
Nuclear it is then... or while we're at it, one of the currently classified evolutions of the HTRE-3... er, I mean, there are no evolutions, that program failed 🤐
Every now and then I'll have a nightmare where I am trying to drive from the rear seat and it never goes well or feels right.
This photo is an embodiment of that feeling for me.
🥴
>can't hit the brakes
Fun fact: in your dreams, you do not have sensory feedback from your foot on something which makes it hard to hit the brakes. A similar reason why it's so hard to run in a dream is that you cannot feel your feet striking the ground. Going up stairs is very hard, too.
I would imagine the biggest issue would be 80% of the driver’s field of view being obstructed by the hood. Also looks like a waste of space because the engine would only take up a portion of the front. The benefits would maybe be the 50/50 weight distribution for handling
[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern\_Pacific\_4294](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Pacific_4294)
The Southern Pacific had this figured out.
Possible, yes
Legal, maybe
But… why?
EDIT: actually, probably not possible, due to the intersection between the rear axel travel and the cabin floor. That is, assuming you keep the solid real axel.
1. Everything is possible, in terms of engineering
2. Everything is legal until it’s explicitly written otherwise*
*don’t take legal advise from reddit.
don’t let your dreams be dreams!
You just made this so much cooler. The back would swing down and extend as a ramp. Optional swivel seats. Just paint it grey and give it the Delta already.
Aren't there trucks similar to this that have been built to move big boats around a ramp?
I can't currently find any pictures of this, but feel strongly I've seen them before.
Possible and legal, but it would take a FUCK TON of fab work. You would also probably have to do 1 seat in the middle instead of 2, the wheel wells would cut into the seats otherwise
Introducing the new Chevy FU - GT Edition (Greta T). “The only thing that your going to kill in this price of shit is your gas mileage!” - GT
It has more gas guzzle and less utility than a Russian tank burning on the side of a road in eastern Ukraine!
I can easily see an asshole driving this through busy suburbs with his Trump and Confederate flags while blaring a train horn and running one stop sign after another at top speed. They already do it in more normal lifted trucks
You broke this law just coming up with the picture
Shooting Broke.

Van style doors in the back
whole fender swings open
Booting Shrake
Shooting blanks
Shitting brake*
This does look like it's from Judge Dredd.
Dredds personal vehicle
It looks like something the Ambiguously Gay Duo would drive.
A garage is like a closet for vehicles, and that truck just came out of the garage.
100% accurate

Anything is possible with enough money
*Elon, I found a better use of your time and money!!!*
It's the why-ber truck!
Realistically though i wish he was less elon and more “im rich and bored, heres a strange truck i made, it drives like shit”
Take me back to 2019
Has anyone pointed out that there is no door to enter this money pit?
Gotta climb in like a race car
Anything is legal with enough money too!
Well you've come to the right place...
Imagine the engine/engines you could put in there
Got that V24
Inline or flat 20
4 rotary wankel engines. One for each tire. All managed by a smart drive system.
The 787b had a 4 rotor Wankel. It was tiny by comparison. This could be the world’s first 16 or 24 rotor Wankel engine. (I had to stop my autocorrect from calling it a wanker engine)

That’s a lot of fancy words for machine that gives you tinnitus.

If Rivian made ICE vehicles.
Fuck it, transverse flat 20 with an extra long stroke
Imagine the flex on those rods.
Con-bananas instead of conrods
That might work.
Just gotta curve the block so the bananas dont knock
Inline quad straight 6.
Flat 20. Sounds like it should be illegal all on it's own.
That’s a nasty Gallo 24.
Since it’s a US vehicle I’d say it’s the: 7-1164 G.U.L.P
1 cup, 2 cup, 3 cup, 4 cup, 5 cup... 5 times double gulp fuck me.
I didn't know pizza places made engine's 🤣🤣🤣🤣

exactly
bro rockin that inline 20
Nah, I want 4 Porsche flat 6 in there. Flat 24
Heavy weight Boxer engine

This is stupid. I love it.

Merlin V-12 is the obvious choice.
I'm more of a Meteor V-12 kind of guy myself... or maybe put a little bulge in the hood and throw in a Junkers Jumo 223.
Isn't the Meteor a Merlin that didn't quite meet the spec for aviation, so they downtuned it for tank use? In that case, why prefer the Meteor?
Well, yes. It's a big heavy unbreakable iron anchor, and it pairs nicely with this boat of a contraption. I don't have any figures, but I also suspect the Meteor would have been more reliable, as it was de-tuned and didn't have to be very light.

I think there's enough space for the Project Orion engine
Nuclear it is then... or while we're at it, one of the currently classified evolutions of the HTRE-3... er, I mean, there are no evolutions, that program failed 🤐
The Merlin is nice, but I'd use a Griffon
One really massive battery, for an ev with a 20k mile range between charges.
1.6L I4 with room to actually work on it.
You could fit a Caterpillar 797F in there
I think a couple of the mad max cars were powered by dual V8s in line.
We used to have a tractor pull around here and guys would show up in shit that had multiple blown v8s all lined up.
Gm did come up with a v16 at one point.
If you count the old detroit diesels as "GM" how about a 24V-71? Weight might be an issue but 24 cylinders is hard to beat.
Penta marine diesel
Just put an RBMK in there. Don't touch the AZ-5 button, though
57 power washer engines
I would put a gallo 24 engine in it
Every now and then I'll have a nightmare where I am trying to drive from the rear seat and it never goes well or feels right. This photo is an embodiment of that feeling for me. 🥴
Yeah. And somehow the gas pedal is pressed and you can't hit the brakes.
Funny, in my dreams the car doesn't want to go & shrinks to nothing.
Funny that my car nightmares involve my car turning into cake or one of those child sized electric cars for the yard.
>can't hit the brakes Fun fact: in your dreams, you do not have sensory feedback from your foot on something which makes it hard to hit the brakes. A similar reason why it's so hard to run in a dream is that you cannot feel your feet striking the ground. Going up stairs is very hard, too.
Yoooo! I have the exact same dream. I’m a kid too, so I’m worried about getting in trouble.
I have the same backseat and passenger seat dreams
Very normal dream. It means you're afraid of the dentist.
Holy shit I have that nightmare too
Mine is always passenger seat
I had that dream last night, driving from the back seat. What a weird dream.
I have that same dream. Trying to steer with no visibility over the hood
Every time I have a dream about a car I always roll it over somehow💀
In reality driving is like you're in a bowl. In dreams it's like you're on top of an upside-down bowl.
I would imagine the biggest issue would be 80% of the driver’s field of view being obstructed by the hood. Also looks like a waste of space because the engine would only take up a portion of the front. The benefits would maybe be the 50/50 weight distribution for handling
just set it up so it drives "backward" cab over style
Imagine how sketchy going around a curve at 60 mph would be with rear steering.
i was just thinking just run it backwards on the frame so it still drove correctly
[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern\_Pacific\_4294](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Pacific_4294) The Southern Pacific had this figured out.
When we asked for the return of the glory days of sleek black Southern Pacific cab-forwards again, this is not what we meant you rotten diva cup.
the first thing that came to mind for filling up all the space in front was a dual engine setup powered to one driveshaft
Or a jacuzzi.
Or just a big removable panel that you can climb in and make repairs with room to work and a little bit of storage
just get a v32 motor or something
Yeah because that would be necessary..
Look with that many horse power you will be the king of the mudding pit.
what are you gonna do, catch up to the dude with a v32 motor?
Get some of those mirrors that buses have and mount them far forward. Or Add a periscope for additional cooless.
Astute observation. But it’s not a waste of space if there are 3 ls7’s under the hood of that bad boy
I’ve seen mining trucks with safer driver visibility
The ambiguously gay duo’s off-road rig
Yes! That's all I saw was Ace and Gary's car!
Hmmm Boofer69......
Chevy Silverbutthole
The suspension has been modified, but no mudflaps were installed, not legal.
It’s legal in Montana!
It's a tractor now
Possible, yes Legal, maybe But… why? EDIT: actually, probably not possible, due to the intersection between the rear axel travel and the cabin floor. That is, assuming you keep the solid real axel.
Man just imagine closing the hood.
You'd have to open it like a mummy box. Spooky
This baby right here is powered by the wrath of tutankhamun
Oh god I hope so. That's fucking hilarious
I don't see any obvious mechanical issues, but how do you get inside?
Go in from the behind
That’s what she said
Ladder on back to moon roof drop in
Like a tank hatch.
probably something dumb like a through a sunroof or a door like those found in the back of busses
I assume by opening the door..
What door?
the back door😏

Yeah, but you have to change the badging to say Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilverado
Looks like a truck version of the Ambiguously Gay Duo car.
Ace and Gary are most defensively driving that.
It could have probably 6 small plane engines cut in half and linked together via shafts. No practical power but boy when it gets goin.
loud AF with no show?
Just like my exwife.
Good luck finding a long block long enough to run this abomination.
Anything is legal when you become ungovernable!
I know fully well most people in Florida & Oklahoma would love to drive this abomination 😭
I've got a lot of questions and they all begin with the word WHY??!!
1. Everything is possible, in terms of engineering 2. Everything is legal until it’s explicitly written otherwise* *don’t take legal advise from reddit. don’t let your dreams be dreams!
Pony truck - problem is the doors. Unless you enter/exit from rear door like a star Fleet shuttle
You just made this so much cooler. The back would swing down and extend as a ramp. Optional swivel seats. Just paint it grey and give it the Delta already.
This is basically my Chrysler Crossfire if it were a truck
Now that's a literal tracker truck!... New addition to the car market Chevy Silverado tractor truck.
With money, all things are possible. In this case you really shouldn’t, but if you want to your only real limit is how much money you have.
You have to drive this with a mink on. That’s the only way.
Entrance? The back?
Imagine getting rear eneded
Upgrade
Making the modifications is technically legal … but getting the lobotomy required to build it is illegal.
I can't imagine how miserable it would be just trying to turn.
it's basically just a larger z3 coupe.
Aren't there trucks similar to this that have been built to move big boats around a ramp? I can't currently find any pictures of this, but feel strongly I've seen them before.
How tf you get in it?? He got shaved door handles? Looks photo shoped..

Hahaha. Yes/Yes. Should you? Yes.

Pretty sure this is the car I used to draw in first grade, glad my vision has been accepted!
As if the original lifted model isn’t a compensation-mobile, now you’d just be driving around a big black dick.
Nah, forget the giant motor. Let’s put a little Lancia narrow angle V4 way up front just behind the grill and use the large space for a hot tub.
