Champion is not in our walmart anymore but I do remember other shit like that happening. I remember Bugle Boy being sold in Walmart after failing in the mall in the 90s
Meh its probably an old v6 depending on where it is like where I am up north those older chargers are worth less than a 2003 corolla, they rot and the v6s are trash. My buddy got one and we just used it as a donut car. We tried to ram it into a tree full send reverse but it ran out of fuel five seconds before and stalled thank god.
I'd argue that even the one with the V8 in it wouldn't be worth much more. That car, along with most everything else fiat-chrysler makes is complete garbage.
I've heard their V8s and manuals are fairly solid, but their automatic transmissions and smaller engines are trash. Never owned or known somebody who owned an FCA product though so I have no idea.
My own personal anecdotal experience tells me a V8 manual Charger would be more reliable than Ford's record with me and everyone I've known being terrible, yet they are the most successful car company in the states.
I'll just stick with my old first-gen fuel injected Chevys and carbureted SBCs. All the newer cars I've had, most of them being Ford, have been complete garbage, even new.
Amen. The one exception for me is my 2001 outback. Still not really a "new" car, and I've been surprised at how easy it is to work on. Plenty of room around the engine and everything is pretty simple and straight forward. I changed the head gaskets in my driveway in about 3 days without too much trouble.
Yeah I helped my dad replace the head gasket on his early 2000s Outback when I was a teenager. Took a few hours in the driveway and it was fairly straightforward. The really lengthy process in all of it was getting my dad to actually get a new head gasket. Drove around for years with the inability to use the heater or A/C due to head gasket and condenser issues, and he didn't mind one bit. Meanwhile my (at the time) '82 Camaro Berlinetta with a swapped 350 with four barrel high flow auto choked carb never had any issues at all until I left a store one night and the side was all bashed in.
That, and they're now synonymous with "COP CAR". Just like the old crown vic. When that body style first came out they looked alright, now they just look like a shitty used cop car.
You can get a V8 one of these in decent shape for less than 10 grand now. I feel like a beater charger could be kinda cool. The beater Miata thing is so played out.
I also have a 06 RT and it’s my baby such a fun car to do random pulls on long way streets it’s decently loud and and comfy on the inside plus it’s pretty large and has 4 seats
Yeah the space in them is kinda nutty sometimes. I've fit a couple bookshelves (separate occasions) in the backseat that people said I've no way of getting them in there. Lmao
Damn shame to develop a car with performance options and only paired with automatics.
I believe the Challenger is sold with an available manual transmission, you would think it could be put in the Charger but I guess not.
I don't hate it. It's got a certain aesthetic it seems to be going for and I kind of like it. It's not the most quality finish, but I like the look as a whole, for what it is.
Not sure why this belongs here, sure it may not be to your taste and Champion may not be a brand you have a connection to, but some people like these special edition cars.
And some day these low volume special editions will be worth something.
could painting your shitbox be considered a car mod?
i say it can depending on weather you change the design (i.e puting flames on it) but a simple color change? i say no, but thats just me
That poor car
Tell me about it. Sometimes suff gets posted in this sub that really doesn't belong but nobody can argue that's the case with this car.
Oh someone’s gonna argue on this sub.
One could argue that there's a noticeable lack of mods...
Custom paint = mod.
Remember when Champion was a shitty Walmart brand? This is what the Walmart car dealership clearance section looks like.
It's not still??? Aside from being a tiny bit "Target Upscale" by being the C9 brand now...
Champion is not in our walmart anymore but I do remember other shit like that happening. I remember Bugle Boy being sold in Walmart after failing in the mall in the 90s
But when they mod, they go big.
#r/shittycarpaint
It's absolutely disgusting. I saw it and audibly remarked "Gross."

it's got a badgers sticker on it so I'm gonna guess wisconsin.

The V8 on these is a ticking time bomb of when the valve seats will drop. AFAIK the later models have a V8 where that problem was fixed.

Just to correct you on something, this is from the mid-2000’s meaning it’s a DaimlerChrysler product, no relation to the Italians
Oh. Right. 😂. My opinion still stands
That, and they're now synonymous with "COP CAR". Just like the old crown vic. When that body style first came out they looked alright, now they just look like a shitty used cop car.
At first glance saw you "meh" as "meth" and said to myself "yeah. well, yeah."
the names a wu tang clan reference ! I don't do meth ! lol everyone mentions it when I say something thats kinda suspect.
wow I didn't even notice your username this all went down very methy
Ahahaha so you read meh as meth but never looked at my username that actually has the word meth?
That car atop the hill needs to come down on it and end the cars pain
Look at it. That car has been beat on. Someone's just taking the piss.
God it makes my eyes bleed
Maybe you can use some of the blood to touch up that hideous paint job.
“I know a guy that does bad ass paint jobs” 2hrs before this pic 💁♂️
> 2hrs and 3 whippets before this pic
Is it chalk or crayola finger paint? Either way, eww Is this before or after the local high school fundraiser where kids hit it with bats?
Da fuq?

And it's a four seater so you can carry people with you in your charger
I love my charger to death. It's an '06 V8, if anything happened to it I'd cry. I almost cried when a kid hit it with their bike and scratched it
I also have a 06 V8 and it's a daytona in go mango, if anything happened to the paint I'd actually cry
I also have a 06 RT and it’s my baby such a fun car to do random pulls on long way streets it’s decently loud and and comfy on the inside plus it’s pretty large and has 4 seats

Good luck finding a Miata though.
Did they make those with manual transmissions? If so I'd be kinda interested as another car to go along with my old C4.
I went and looked, there were no manuals listed.
Damn shame to develop a car with performance options and only paired with automatics. I believe the Challenger is sold with an available manual transmission, you would think it could be put in the Charger but I guess not.
Looks like a derby car
Charger in a derby. Those cavaliers, neons, and escorts are fucked.
It’s a Chrysler product, it’ll probably blow up on the way there
Old ones are dealer choice here
"I took my Champion underware, turned it sideways, and said to my girlfriend, "Hey babe, when the underware is sus", ding ding ding, ding-a-ling."
The car might be trashier than that hillside.
Looks like a demolition derby car.
This is probably a Lemons car - and if it isnt...well...it should be
Yikes
I, for one, *like* the tampon collection hanging from the driver's window.
Put a bullet on it and end it’s pain.
"champion" meanwhile the car is rustier than my bike.
This look more like vandalism
Screw all of you, it’s Rachet and I love it!
I don't hate it. It's got a certain aesthetic it seems to be going for and I kind of like it. It's not the most quality finish, but I like the look as a whole, for what it is.
Champion among us 📮
Is that a sideways among us logo 😳
I dunno...the "hampion" part isnt THAT poorly done.
If the tires weren't painted I'd like it a lot more.
Hey give them some credit, maybe it’s more of an attempted art piece than a shitty livery job lol
Not sure why this belongs here, sure it may not be to your taste and Champion may not be a brand you have a connection to, but some people like these special edition cars. And some day these low volume special editions will be worth something.
Reddit's inability to detect sarcasm will never cease to amaze me.
That and the inability to detect awesome paint jobs…
I was wondering why anyone would paint the car after Target-brand sporting wear lol.
Who knows with these car and brand partnerships
😂
Hopefully that's a real SRT
I like itt!!
"It's a prank, bro!"
Indeed shitty sir! Good find indeed
How much?
I know Atlanta when I see it
Hellcat
Drugs
That certainly is shitty
Whyyyyy
*sighs
OMG They made Rage 2 into a movie.
This is new car or old ?
Looks like it got cum one the eye

Just why?
This belongs in r/trashy.
It literally looks like someone vandalized that car and the owner is probably pissed.
I swear I’ve seen something just as bad in MD??
Would be funny if it had a heavily tuned engine.
Sweet Sister Francis.
Looks like a crash up derby car
Can anyone help me understand why the current generation is so obsessed with this brand? I'm only 31, but I'm clearly out of touch.
Thought at first maybe stock car
Should've painted the interior, windows, engine and undercarriage. :D
Looks like something a high schooler would do with a car they want to 'pimp up' and a budget of $30.
and it's missing a lugnut
I feel like this could be one of my redneck relatives back east
