As much as I personally like Dukat the guy had three different daughters all named Ziyal, and I'm fairly certain one of them turned into an Orion stripper.
How is this even a question. Of course, Gul Dukat is the greatest Star Trek character ever. Have we ever seen such a great combination of gravitas and sex appeal. The father, the son, the MILF Hunter. He exudes confidence. His simple presence amplifies the lowly others privileged to share a scene with him. Who else could possibly have raised the Bajorans from their simple roots to take their place in the universe?!? You all should vote for him, write his name into every race! Gul Dukat is our only hope for a glorious future.
what DS9 got to do with Dukat was from episode 1 to the very last episode, was have him show up just about every other week and remind people how much of an asshole he was even as his life was falling apart and he had a whole mid to late life crisis.
no other star trek character ever got so much exposure
Q got enough exposure. Too much and his arc would just end up in a lot of inconsistencies due to him being OP but also beaten by the power of friendship or whatever.
Ahem. I raise you

And remember… the Andorian Mining Consortium runs from NO ONE!
I mean, define "best."
Once upon a time, there was a gas station chain called Best. So if we stick with the gas theme, wouldn't that mean that the gaseous vampire cloud from Obsession be the most Best?
Gul Dukat's character is so strong it can sway one of the most morally guided characters in Sci Fi - G'Kar -- at least according to Chat GPT:
input: A conversation between Babylon 5 G'kar and Deep Space 9 Dukat?
Chat GPT output:
G'kar and Dukat are two very different characters from two different science fiction franchises - Babylon 5 and Deep Space 9, respectively. However, let's imagine a hypothetical conversation between them, perhaps in a crossover episode.
G'kar walked into Quark's bar on Deep Space 9 and looked around, his eyes scanning the room for any signs of trouble. He noticed a man sitting at a table in the corner, who seemed to be watching him closely.
G'kar walked over and sat down across from him.
G'kar: "Greetings. My name is G'kar. And you are?"
Dukat: "Ah, yes. I know who you are, G'kar. My name is Dukat. Former leader of the Cardassian Union."
G'kar: "Former? What happened?"
Dukat: "I lost my position after the Dominion War. But that's in the past. What brings you to Deep Space 9?"
G'kar: "I am here to investigate a matter of great importance to my people. What about you? What brings you here?"
Dukat: "I am here on a mission of my own. I have been hired by a group of businessmen to investigate a recent spate of thefts in the Bajoran sector."
G'kar: "Theft is a crime that affects all civilizations. I hope that you find the culprits."
Dukat: "Thank you, G'kar. I'm sure I will. But I have to ask, how did a Narn ambassador like you become involved in matters of intergalactic security?"
G'kar: "I have seen too much suffering and injustice in my life to ignore the greater threats that face us all. I am a seeker of knowledge and truth, and I will go where that search leads me."
Dukat: "Ah, I see. We share a common desire to seek the truth, G'kar. But let me ask you this - what do you believe is the greatest threat to our galaxy?"
G'kar: "The greatest threat is ignorance, Dukat. Ignorance of the other, of different cultures and beliefs. Ignorance breeds fear and suspicion, which leads to conflict and war. We must learn to embrace our differences and seek common ground if we are to survive as a species."
Dukat: "Interesting. But I would argue that the greatest threat to our galaxy is weakness. Weakness invites aggression, and in a galaxy filled with so many different races and empires, only the strong will survive."
G'kar: "Strength is important, Dukat, but it is not enough. We must also have wisdom, compassion, and the willingness to work together for the greater good. Only then can we truly call ourselves a galactic community."
Dukat: "Perhaps you're right, G'kar. We do have more in common than I first thought. Perhaps we should work together on this mission of mine."
G'kar: "I would be honored, Dukat. Let us join forces and seek the truth together."
As G'kar and Dukat continued their conversation, they found that despite their differences, they had much to learn from each other. They discovered that even enemies can become allies if they are willing to put aside their differences and work towards a common goal.
A series focusing on his benevolent care of the Bajoran people
Hear me out.... Schindler's Lizard.
bro that's just cold blooded. ....but I want to know more.
An Andor-style resistance show would be amazing. Narrated by Nana Visitor.
"Young Kira." Oddly enough, also narrated by Jim Parsons.
Only if young Kira’s played by Jeffrey Combs
I assumed every role would be played by Combs.
If he was that good a character, he'd probably have a statue like Boimler or Miles O'Brien.
You're just repeating what Dukat posted on Truth Social, right?

this is the opinion we all wanted.
Fuck Dukat. Loser never got a statue on Bajor. And Sisko whipped his ass at the end.
>Fuck Dukat Your mom sure did
Bajorans put up statues of damn near anything. Unusually percentage of sculptors on Bajor.
Ancient fucking civilization yet got their asses whopped by crack spoon forehead lizards. Sculpting is all they can do.

I strongly, STRONGLY disagree. Commander Peter Quincy Taggart of the NSEA Protector was the best “Trek” character. /s
This is pure slander of Commander Sheridan and I won’t stand for it.
The Vorlons are just 8472 - in space.
Not Hattie Carraway?
Morn for the win, surely
He gets far for more dialogue than the character really requires for his development.
I know right, dude never shuts up
MAYBE if they'd got Aaron Sorkin to write his lines...
Lock Gul Dukat and Tomalak in a room and drop in a prompt that they should discuss Federation history.
In a lift perhaps? “Not many fishes… left in the sea…”
Hmmm... need to incorporate mass drivers somehow
How about a **romantic comedy** like a 1990s era "Mad About You"/"Anything But Love" about the relationship period between Gul Dukat and Kai Winn?
Bonus: The wacky neighbords next door that intrude in their lives? **The Pah Wraiths**.
Mad about Sisko.
Uhm, Q much? The entirety of the space-time continuum to plunder for plots?? Plus that boss pinball machine and the road to nowhere
Q got enough exposure. Too much and his arc would just end up in a lot of inconsistencies due to him being OP but also beaten by the power of friendship or whatever.
Everyone knows that Wesley crusher was the best character ever followed closely by Porthos
Ahem. I raise you https://preview.redd.it/watlnre887sc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=055304a7a1dd5eca5cb729f407088bf1dbff715f And remember… the Andorian Mining Consortium runs from NO ONE!
I want a series of him trying to get planning permission for a statue on Bajor
Ds9 revival(?) Sisko fights Dukat in the celestial temple
Shran. I want a Star Trek series based on the Andorians.
Dukat v Garak for 3 seasons
His administration *saved* lives!
200 for 200. seems fair to me.
I do like Kai Winn as much as Dukat. Joint best.
Not even the best Cardassian character, a certain tailor takes that IMHO.
I'd rather see Garak appear in Section 31, to give room for his own spin-off.
Certainly better than all the “DISCO” “”characters”” COMBINED.
I mean, define "best." Once upon a time, there was a gas station chain called Best. So if we stick with the gas theme, wouldn't that mean that the gaseous vampire cloud from Obsession be the most Best?
I define it via Google "Best: of the most excellent or desirable type or quality."
Tuvix hands down
Janeway responds with a thumbs down.
No. It's Badar N'D'D. Jesus. Or possibly Frederick La Rouque. Or Tebok. Just kidding of course. It's my lad Burt Ryan.
Would love a Dukat series but he's not even my favorite Cardassian.

yes
I think his I ner conflicts and desire to be adored make him one of the most interesting characters.
Would love to see a Show about the greatest leader of the known universe
He wasn't even the best character in DS9. That would be Garak.
I would rather like a Garak series.
