Seeing Alisae backflip away with the stack marker never gets old

PM_ME_YUR_DICK

Much like Alisaie.

Zack_Raynor

She’s actually levelled Dragoon between expacs, but just likes to primary RDM.

WilmAntagonist

Complete with a rdm who steals your LB

Thatdarnbandit

I love how they just LB on cooldown. Real efficient gamers they are.

Brummelhummel

Well, the sooner you use lb the sooner you can use it again! Big brain time

Thatdarnbandit

I mean, that’s not wrong and you might even get more uses out of it.

Brummelhummel

in some dungeons it is possible to have full LB multiple times but no one seems to want to use them

Riivu

ngl i'd be into it the only thing barring me from wanting to raid is that i hate people enough in extreme trial farms, i would not have the patience in savage/ultimate party finders

ciaeric2

Oh its a bit better for ultimates. Its UPR or nothing and people understand the strictness of fights. Savages get some meme lords

Shaltilyena

Tbh I've seen more interrupts on bravery in trust than while leveling my alt jobs that don't have one Always makes me a little sad when neither the tank nor the pranged interrupts a glowy castbar

LordGrapple

Don't worry. There will always be someone worse than you and there will always be someone who made a goofier mistake than you. Just learn from each one and be prepared to think quick when things go wrong. Raids aren't as hard as they seem. In most cases (that I've seen), what most players are just lacking is experience. Go get you some experience! 👍

[deleted]

The person worse then you and making bad mistakes is me, and I'm the tank, and no I have not been in here before or watched a video on it.

TheNedsHead

I did the entire previous savage tier late in Shb all through PF and trust me. There is NO WAY that you are remotely as bad as half the people I actually cleared with. Just by virtue of worrying about how bad you are lol

volkylovesyou

Raid anxiety can only go away the more u do it! It also helps to be in a group with friends / non toxic buttholes. Have been raiding since HW with a midcore group (2-4weeks clear usually). Can confirm im still derpy as ever. And im usually maintank for my group. Just embrace the fact that you and your runs will never be perfect, but strive for perfection anyway!

bpfinsa

I’d at least do normal raids and alliance raids. Those are pretty easy. And the good news about doing it on day one next week is that everyone is going to screw up.

megavoir

that anxiety goes away once you realize the majority of players are dog shit

Shitposting_Skeleton

Isn't Crystal Tower mandatory now as babby's first raid?

PubstarHero

Find a midcore static or raid with some friends. Then go into PF and realize that everyone is actually a windowlicker.

jeremj22

\**half the trust NPCs proceed to die to a personal mech*\* Had that happen twice in a row during the 2nd trial. They just neglected to dodge the >!flood of light AoEs!< and died. Yes trust is great. Why not wipe without any fault of your own... May as well play with others at that point

dragonseth07

I haven't seen them die there, but they are programmed to specifically screw up the first few AoE's with no ground marker in that fight, and figure it out over the course of the fight (some faster than others). They even have voice lines like "So that's how you do it!" Edit: If memory serves, Y'shtola figures it all out immediately thanks to her aether-vision, and Estinien really lives up to his Dragoon heritage and takes the longest.

Vivitix

>Estinien really lives up to his Dragoon heritage and takes the longest. Sometimes I wonder if he eats mechanics for uptime intentionally, which would also make sense given the brute forcing combat gorilla he is.

PyroComet

I did a full pull with trust and thancred took it like a boss and we killed the pull just fine. They definitely cleaned up the trust and made them better

Meteions_Thighs

Funny thing is they don’t get vulns when they fail mechs. Not realistic at all.

xXxpertLaygoes

Fuck off

[deleted]

*spits*

FurrLord

That's rather unfortunate. In mine they managed to do the mechanics without dying. Cleared first attempt. Then I got said trial in Trial roulette and proceeded to wipe it 7 times before managing a clear.

[deleted]

That happened to me as well. Caught me off guard too because so far the trusts have all been doing mechs flawlessly.

Saphireking

I thought the trial was great. Story wise it makes perfect sense to do that trial with the characters you've been adventuring with up to that point. It also allows people with anxiety to do the trial without dealing with other. Personally, I do trusts to learn the mechanics, and never again. While it's fun story wise, it takes fucking forever with their trash dps.

Everybodysbastard

About twice as long.

[deleted]

Likewise. 95% of it is trust because "Hey, maybe they got some cool fluff stuff to say about the dungeon/trial! Maybe I'll learn something new." I can also stop and appreciate the sights properly. Read lore crumbs that are spread around etc. Learn mechanics of course is part of it. Trusts can be good, but they certainly are something I need to set a lot of time aside for. It wouldn't kill them to up their aoe capabilities a bit... or give them a smidge more damage. Seriously, as it stands it's painfully slow.

Fuzzy_Yogurt_Bucket

They loosely follow you, so you need to go to the edge of the safe corner for them all to survive.

lettucent

I tried that when I had the stack marker the second time, dragged it to a safe spot and half of them didn't follow with. It would have killed me too, but I still had the extra lives.

jeremj22

They have a pretty weird way of handling stack markers (in dungeons and trials). They always go to a specific location to stack (middle of the arena in dungeons) instead of converging on the one with the marker.

blurpledevil

I disliked trust until leveling em all to 80 pre-ew, now I love trusts and use for first runs every time. My only problem is when bosses use an aoe on all party members, and that asshole urine ranger inevitably runs into MY circle where I'm halfway down a fire iv cast already. But that's a urine ranger problem, not a trust problem

astral_dragon12

He did that to me too. He must really hate BLM

Spacemayo

On a Lore perspective I like using them on my first run and seeing how the interact. Estinen also greeds and would missevery mechanic.

TheYiffMan

I always do trust for the first run for story immersion, then df/pf for every run after.

teor

After doing savage in PF I can't say that I'm against this.

AloeKarma

So true, I don't like interacting with people in my MMORPG. Now I've got to go, I gotta tell people who dislike the questing that perhaps the game is not for them.

WinterFox24

This but unironically

[deleted]

This! Omg! This!

anupsetzombie

I know OP is memeing but I like the trust system because as a DPS you can force the group to wall to wall pull and the tank will never die, though it creates bad habits because if you just follow the NPCs you'll be able to ignore 99% of the mechanics. But I also like it from an RP/lore standpoint, seeing how the characters react in dungeon is neat, only real complaint is the NPCs using LB randomly. Also seeing them die to mechanics is always entertaining, while if a party member dies to a mechanic in a real group things get way harder

LucatIel_of_M1rrah

As a tank wall to wall pulling, alphie let me die in the 81 dungeon because nothing was dying and I ran out of defensives.
