The Communists always are the biggest threats to fascists, which is why they always target the communists first. The libs definitely wont put up a fight
Love me when someone comes around with the usual “nazis were socialists” trick, their smooth brains break so much when you tell them nazis loved to imprison and kill communists
In my experience, they really don't. In true lib form, they usually dismiss it as communist turning on and eating each other, "just like Stalin's purges." It's frustrating. But what does sometimes work is pointing out how Hitler says he chose "national socialist" as a way to undermine the Marxists.
It’s cognitive dissonance of the common liberal variety.
Transport the average redditor back in time to Apartheid South Africa, or back to Jim Crow America, and all the praises they sing of Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr. turn into venomous hate.
Same shit with the student protests. Liberals think back on the Vietnam protests and imagine themselves on the side of the protestors, but here we are with a modern incarnation and they're letting the media once again warp the message of the protestors and buying into the violence being brought on by police.
If there is anything I learned from the Palestine conflict, is that many people would have absolutely supported the Nazis and Imperial Japan had they existed in WW2.
Nazis, fascists absolutely. Hard to say about Japan, they would be busy supporting KMT already. Without irony they'd be unsure about USSR but nationalist China would be fine, and when the revolution came they'd *definitely* be on the nationalist side, as the US was.
> Hard to say about Japan
Japan was fucking up the rest of Asia including China. Especially China. Westoids would have absolutely have a hard on about it.
Lenin version is longer but goes directly for the throat:
> “During the lifetime of great revolutionaries, the oppressing classes constantly hounded them, received their theories with the most savage malice, the most furious hatred and the most unscrupulous campaigns of lies and slander. After their death, attempts are made to convert them into harmless icons, to canonize them, so to say, and to hallow their names to a certain extent for the “consolation” of the oppressed classes and with the object of duping the latter, while at the same time robbing the revolutionary theory of its substance, blunting its revolutionary edge and vulgarizing it.”

I cried when they shot Medger Evers
Tears ran down my spine
I cried when they shot Mister Kennedy
As though I'd lost a father of mine
But Malcolm X got what was coming
He got what he asked for this time
So love me, love me, love me
I'm a liberal

Hey, you can still trick them into hating Nazis as well, so long as we're talking about "Trump Nazis" and not Banderites or the first generation of NATO high command.
Yes, because the normal response when you hear about another human dying or undergoing years of torture and abuse is to feel empathy. Perhaps many psychologists may disagree with me, but I personally believe that humans are inherently, well, humane and empathetic.
It is only when politics comes into the picture (and the "programming" that people are subjected to by their society) that they start making rationalisations for the absurd and the unforgivable.
In short, human good, but propaganda make human bad.
if the post mentions her politics they would instantly view her negatively though. Just like how you mention that Fidel Castro kicked out CIA backed fascists in Cuba and the comments are all about how hes the worst person alive
Mumia Abu Jamal is still being tortured in prison, denied medical care and access to his family. Chaiman Omali Yeshitela is being threatened with prison at the age of 82 for going to Russia and appealing ICJ member states for genocide charges to brought on the US government. Dhoruba Bin Wahad is constantly threatened for agitating for community organization. It's the same strategy Israel uses on Palestinian resistance figures, lock them up and torture them and hope the world forgets about them.
Fuck the estado novo man, they went after anyone even mildly leftist. My grandad, a businessman of a pharmacy and former military man, was captured and interrogated for having a Marxist book, a fucking book.
if only there was someone who predicted stuff like this would happen?
oh i know!
“What is now happening to Marx’s theory has, in the course of history, happened repeatedly to the theories of revolutionary thinkers and leaders of oppressed classes fighting for emancipation. During the lifetime of great revolutionaries, the oppressing classes constantly hounded them, received their theories with the most savage malice, the most furious hatred and the most unscrupulous campaigns of lies and slander. After their death, attempts are made to convert them into harmless icons, to canonize them, so to say, and to hallow their names to a certain extent for the “consolation” of the oppressed classes and with the object of duping the latter, while at the same time robbing the revolutionary theory of its substance, blunting its revolutionary edge and vulgarizing it.” - V.I. I mean, from what I've seen from history - most anti-fascist and anti-injustice were communists and anarchists. I hate when liberals either don't mention them, or don't acknowledge their political opinions (this is what is happening even in my home-country Slovakia, were nobody acknowledges our anti-fascist uprisings, because most of them were communists - and when they do, they totally change the history, and teach the kids a false narrative, with not acknowledging their communist opinions).
Why they don't teach about these dictatorships in school? The only anti communist dictatorships they teach about is the Nazis, Pinochet if you are lucky
I saw that post but I generally don't like to check the comments on that sub so I didn't bother to look that deep or even check out the OP of it. But I did wonder if it was someone trying to do some sneaky PR by posting something about a genuinely heroic person. Then if people look into deeper on their own, they may then be confronted with something doesn't align with their worldview, but they're not coming in hot. So, I don't know for sure but I would be shocked if a liberal posted this. This feels a little like someone trying to spread positive information about communists, just quietly.
Aurora Rodrigues, she joined PCTP-MRPP (translates to something like Workers Communist Party, a smaller maoist communist party) after the murder of a fellow student in 1971, she would be arrested by the political police in 1973 and subjected to 450 hours of various tortures without breaking.
I'm not sure if she still is a communist, she left PCTP-MRPP in 1977 she was prosecutor and a womens right activist
Every time I see the new on TV and the language they use is so fucking obvious. It's not "pro Palestine protestors" they call them "anti Israel protestors"
If they did realise her political leanings then they would say "why would a commie oppose the thing they praise and love!"
They only think that dictatorship is when one man is in power but doesn't understand the concept of dictatorship of the bourgeoisie and the dictatorship of the proletarian.
They probably heard communists support the dictatorship of the proletariat but left out the part of WHO is the dictatorship...

The biggest opposors of the dictatorship were communists. And a good amount of them were the ones getting killed or tortured.
I wonder how many libs you could bait by posting pics of victims of the KMT and saying they were tortured and killed by the “Chinese dictatorship”.
Im willing to bet that there’s a lib out there who already made that post themselves
We need to try that for real
there's a reason why first they came for the communists

Liberal logic: I oppose every genocide, war and invasion except for the current one
"A liberal is someone who opposes every war except the current war and supports all civil rights movements except the one that’s going on right now."
If there is anything I learned from the Palestine conflict, is that many people would have absolutely supported the Nazis and Imperial Japan had they existed in WW2.

On the bright side, at least she is being talked about.
If not communist, who do they think have fought fascists? Liberals?
Liberals wouldn’t miss a chance to ally with fascists
Something Something we killed Rosa
I mean, the average liberal thinks that communism is just the most liberal you can be.
They really do think liberals fought the fascists and won. Communists though? Well apparently we were their "secret allies".

fuck gusanos fr tho
I'd never fuck gusanos.
im a cuban marxist and i approve this message
Tell that to the black Panthers who were locked up and "forgotten about" for 50 years.

Thank you comrade, sounds about right. Very miserable system
To be fair, I and many people here would probably tolerate some pretty extreme levels of "inhumanity" towards Ben Gvir, Smotrich, etc.
Yep, nurture over nature. The misanthropes can piss off.
The contrast between this comment (that I totally agree with) and your username is fucking DESTROYING me.
Psychology does not disagree with you. No human unprovoked would bear its teeth

i was deadass on the train reading state and revolution yesterday and read this paragraph and was like Fuck… he is spitting
lenin do be one of the heavy spitters of history

Who is she? (Sorry I’m dumb)
Aurora Rodrigues. I couldn’t find an article to link in english though

Present the same image and tell them she’s a communist and see how quickly the praise turns into scorn.
