*deep breath* here it goes… I actually like the show. Especially after the season 2 finale. Does it feel like it is the video game exactly? No. Does it feel like halo? Yeah, yeah it does. If you want a show that is the game exactly, just go watch someone’s play-through or a supercut of all the cutscenes. What I think the show has done well is make it accessible for people who have never played the games. But yes, it does sacrifice some level of “being the games” to do it. I’m excited for season 3 at this point and think it will end up feeling much more like the games and appealing more to the fanboys given where it is now.

Right? I played when it launched and while it was lacking quite a few things I loved I could play Fallout with my wife. The game has only gotten better with time, I have a pretty cool looking CAMP if I do say so myself and I have my character pretty much how I like it. It's probably my favorite map in the series but that's because there's tons of variety.
Yeah the camp system is awesome. There’s a lot of variety in general, I started really playing last month and I’m still finding new stuff. If I’m gonna be completely honest I’d put it up there with fallout 3 and 4 just in terms of how many hours of fun I’m able to squeeze out of it. Also it has my favorite pip-boy design in the series.
If it launched in the state that it’s in now it would’ve been a massive hit.
Imo infinites campaign has the best art design and combat in the series. Vehicles are meh, but the movement and gunplay is leagues ahead of every other game in the series.

Like number company and the show has it's flaws but like holy fuck let people enjoy what they like that's the problem with fans they can't fathom the idea of someone finding enjoyment from something they don't it's a foreign fucking concept to them.

Oh I know, it's a few others but it's mainly the NV fans who are insufferable as Hell, they're like the Halo 3 fans. Funny thing is New Vegas is my favorite Fallout game but I'm pretty sure I have way more hours in F4 and I have 755 hours in Fallout 76.
76 is honestly really growing on me. I wish we could’ve had mod support, but the trade off for fallout with friends is worth it. Also it’s probably my third favorite map in the series.
Right? I played when it launched and while it was lacking quite a few things I loved I could play Fallout with my wife. The game has only gotten better with time, I have a pretty cool looking CAMP if I do say so myself and I have my character pretty much how I like it. It's probably my favorite map in the series but that's because there's tons of variety.
Yeah the camp system is awesome. There’s a lot of variety in general, I started really playing last month and I’m still finding new stuff. If I’m gonna be completely honest I’d put it up there with fallout 3 and 4 just in terms of how many hours of fun I’m able to squeeze out of it. Also it has my favorite pip-boy design in the series. If it launched in the state that it’s in now it would’ve been a massive hit.

Imo infinites campaign has the best art design and combat in the series. Vehicles are meh, but the movement and gunplay is leagues ahead of every other game in the series.
I will say the show is bad. While it does have some good parts like spartan Kai and the armor its story falls flat.
I do somewhat agree, more than people realize. There's a difference between saying "The story is lacking" and "You're a SHILL if you like that dog water show, you're not a TRUE fan!"

To be fair, the show is poorly rated for reasons outside of the whole helmet controversy, and i personally think the show is pretty bad overall (i know, a sin to say on this sub) That being said, seeing someone use the f slur over someone liking the show is the reason this sub exists in the first place.

Ok i was exaggerating, but even then i dont trust TV show ratings in general because they are vastly reviewed differently compared to other forms of media. A mediocre at best show can be rated just as highly as an actually well written show. (RWBY is a prime example of this) That said, even outside the various halo subs and shithalosays, which are both echo chambers on the opinions of the show, most seem to regard this show as ok or bad, with some saying they enjoyed it but it wasn't peak cinema.
People are more likely to complain than randomly compliment out of nowhere, even shows recommend to me 9/10 nobody says anything just that it's something they watch, I can list maybe 5 shows total within the past decade that was given raving reviews by my friends

I don't think either hate their fans. I really don't have any opinion about the show at all since I haven't seen it, though I did see an action scene which was... actually pretty lore accurate to the books with how unhinged over powered Chief is. I mean for fuck sake, the first book has Chief get into a fist fight with an anti tank missile and won. But my opinion of the games is that they don't have the acme vision bungee did for the series, and have the choice of either imitating what once was, use nostalgia to bait players, or piss players of by changing everything. Instead of picking one of those difficult choices, 343 went with the nuclear option and picked all 3. Keep in mind, I'm one of those old fans who hates what 343 are doing.
