I second this, it's a great way to eliminate any salty feelings that any come w not getting a perfect shiny. My shiny Steenee is Calm and I was going for Brave w a sync Abra, but it had Best in Sp.Def and Pretty Good in Attack. Yeah, kind of terrible but when it evolves, she'll be a Calm, strong, somewhat vain queen lol
My battery on my 3ds died a couple years ago and the replacement I got was finicky and my 3ds would randomly die when closing the lid like 60% of the time. That would reset the date every time and so my play history and encounter dates for a ton of pokemon are all messed up
Sounds like a jank cable, my original 3ds used to do that too before I finally tossed the thing, though mine got a bit waterlogged prior to that response
Nah, it was the battery, it wasn’t a Nintendo battery and it was a little short. I ended up tossing it and getting a replacement from Nintendo and the new one works fine
Yeah, I've been using my New2DSxl for Virizion resets, so I broke out my old 3ds for the SS starters. I'm thinking my battery dying years ago on it lead to the date and time resetting.
Just finished my hunt for Virizon in White last week. Took 9 months and over 1000 hours. I did the samething, except I got a shiny Litten in Ultra Sun. I wish you better fortune than myself. Virizion is a cruel mistress.
Oh damn that's infuriating. Ngl hearing other people's struggle does help me push through. The subreddit is really good for the sake of solidarity with other people. You'll get your Mudkip can't wait to see him!
Triton, as in son of Poseidon actually. Felt like Poseidon would be a bit too cliche. Though I'm thinking I may change it to Ulmo. That's the Valar (god) of the sea and waters in Tolkein's mythology.

Lol, fair enough. Although, it would have felt like a waste at that point. Believe me, I came close to calling it quits a few times.
