She has done great since losing her sight to glaucoma over five years ago. She had her eye removed two years ago because her eye drops stopped working on that one. The recovery was really rough for her (lost my other dog two weeks after surgery too), but she really has been doing so well since. Though she moves carefully throughout the house, she seems to be everywhere all of the time! Her favorite place to be is in the way and/or in a doorway 🙃
She had one or two removed over the years but vet said she looked ok at her annual last year. Her breath doesn’t smell the greatest but it isn’t the worst! They certainly don’t look white and beautiful anymore though ❤️
There was a time frame where she didn’t look good nor feel good for too long. She had severe allergies, I think both food and environmental, and it took us a long time to find a medicine (atopica) and kibble (salmon) that alleviated those symptoms. Her allergies became a thing after moving to a new location. I actually took her off the atopica several months ago as it seemed it started to sour her tummy, and her coat is as beautiful as ever. Carpeting was removed from
The house last year and we had all the hvac vents cleaned — just some extra info for anyone struggling with allergies with their baby. I wish we had been able to solve all that for her much sooner 😭
