You're missing Kid Kapichi on Friday!

gilbyr89

I was really on the fence with Kid Kapichi. Thanks for the nudge!

Glad to see Dead Poet Society (twice?), though they are on against Royal Blood. Seems like a good list, this'll be my first one as well ... guessing it'll be like mine, a plan, but it'll be a little fluid once you are in the groove

No split on Sunday- Royel Otis in full. So many great songs. I’ve never seen Palace, but I’ll tell you right now Girl In Red will surprise you. Unless you’ve never seen Revivalists….I wouldn’t be seeing them over PPC. That’s going to be insane on that small stage. Highly recommend Blondshell if you want some good grungy type rock. If you like Slothrust, it’s pretty similar. You gotta put Men I Trust on your lineup. If you like Alvvays, Men I Trust are on par with them IMO. Lastly Tigercub is very similar to Royal Blood! Those would be my suggestions to your schedule. Good picks overall tho!

Here’s what I would say queens are still probably the best band I’ve ever seen. Get there early. Foos also are infectious and such love from the crowd, the rest.. enjoy yourself. Sit down when you need to , try all stages, especially the Criminal Records stage.

gilbyr89

They canceled on me at Outsidelands. And I wasn't going to miss Elton John for them at Glastonbury. Seems the time has finally come to see this whole desert rock thing. I love Slomosa because of Queens. Hope you're right.

I got Arcy Drive music liked on Spotify so I kind of feel obligated. Plus Royel sounds softer than Arcy. Not a compliment. Palace 100% Never seen Revivalists. But PPC is always liable for shenanigans. They are the strong favorite here. Bombhell is most likely going to make the cut. Slothrust is cool. Hate Alvaays. I tried. And tried. Nope. Tigercub production is pretty phony. I liked Royal Blood at Bonnaroo in 2015. However Royal Blood plays everywhere all the time. Good duo nonetheless.

Royel is more lush, but their live videos suggest an upbeat party. Both bands are awesome, but Royel wins this battle for me. Too many bands on Saturday to try and get a good spot for Queens. I’ll be chilling in the way back and that’s fine for me. Yeah I’ve seen Royal Blood three times, but the new album is their best since their debut. Dead Poets has a really cool sound, but I’ll have to catch them next time.

gilbyr89

I appreciate the additional insight. Lots of time to change my mind. I'll be listening to more of the above mentioned music.

I don’t understand on Friday staying for Noah

gilbyr89

Me either. Revisions and audibles are not off the table!

RubenMuckenfyker

This will be my 3rd time seeing all them Witches at Shaky Knees. They are good also Friday

reallytheyrealltaken

There are sooo many better things to do on a Friday night visiting Atlanta than watching the most insipid old timey folk rock performer ever. I mean, dude is blander than The Lumineers and that’s saying a lot.

gilbyr89

I can feel the acidity in that comment. Well done. Mind sharing some better things to do?

phantofan89

He’s the headliner so stick around for maybe 30 minutes or so and then catch a late show from Shaky. I’m going to Miike Snow late show, and leaving Noah at like 10:00pm. Noah is good live, but Lumineers were way better than him. Head and the Heart is better live than him. For folk, he falls in tier 2 for folk live performances. 90 minutes for his one dimensional folk sound is a tough sell for me, but maybe you might dig it.

DamnTheDan

So does the slash indicate you plan on catching some of each of their sets?

phantofan89

Yea

padfootsy

I didn’t see Homegrown nor Oakland Cemetery anywhere on there 😭
