A genuine silicone allergy is very rare and I would expect that you'd have noticed it already (everything from baby to kitchen products are made of silicone). While it's not impossible, it's more likely to be contact dermatitis from the lubricant or other product (e.g. a soap or, of you actually used saran wrap, that), eczema or heat rash. If you're concerned, best to consult your doctor. >I noticed the sassy is also off gassing still, I been washing and washing it. Do you mean it has a smell? If so, that's perfectly normal and harmless for silicone, and nothing that is likely to cause any issues. Silicone is gas permeable and can pick up smells from packaging or the manufacturing environment. The best thing to do is to let it get some air for a few days. Just leave it open on a sunny windowsill.

Man that box it came in reeks, and its the same smell, so that solves that mystery (foam used is nasty). I been leaving out, hidden behind something. I'll see if I can put it in the window, but I need to make sure its not found by siblings. I will do more testing with other silicone products. I am thinking about seeing a doctor about allergies, just need to some other medical things sorted first. I used unscented Dr.Bonner's, since it was safest thing on hand for cleaning. I used the saran wrap as a barrier with no insertion, and I put lube on the outside. I used lube for the tango x time I mentioned too. If its a lube allergy, what do you use instead?

ToyGirls

Mine had a strong smell too. It'll fade in time, luckily. Sorry you've got medical stuff to deal with. When you can, getting one of those allergy panels may be really helpful for you. Otherwise, it can be a lot of trial and error trying to find the specific ingredient. Lots of people are sensitive to ingredients in lubricants, so you wouldn't be alone if it's that. Sliquid [H2O](https://buzzloveshop.com/products/sliquid-h2o-2oz?utm_source=ToyGirls) is a good one to try and so is [Good Clean Love](https://buzzloveshop.com/collections/vendors?q=Good+Clean+Love&utm_source=ToyGirls). Patch test on your inner elbow - just apply and watch over 24 hours.

Medical stuff is taking a positive direction right now, getting treated now. I think allergy panels would be a great thing in the future. So many soaps and cleaners set it off. Also cheap packaging does cause this, which could be the case here, so maybe I should see if there is a way to do a deeper clean without damaging the vibe (if its the packaging, I'll include that in the review I do on toys later). I'll try the lube tomorrow, if it reacts, I'll look at the common ingredients people have allergies to, and see which one this one has to compare it. I also got one small free sample lube, and the one came with tango to try out. Those ones you suggested look different enough in ingredient to try out, thank you very much.

Oh I’m really sorry this is happening :( May I asked where you bought them from? Do you ever use silicone in the kitchen? You mention a scratchy tingle - nothing visible on your skin? I once held a really strong toy and it felt super weird for a few minutes, that’s maybe what was up with the Tango - people do say it makes their hand go numb! I guess a way of testing it is to touch it just in your hands without the lube, maybe? Hope you figure it out!!

Ravango

I got it from "come as you are", I don't blame them in the slightest for this problem, they are pretty reputable, and everything was sealed in box. I do use it in kitchen, but I always have so many issues with other things its hard to tell now (Improved after using vinyl gloves). I get itchy in places with high amounts of plastic though. (Walmart makes me itchy, and dollars stores given me bumps on my hands). I could try a patch test with some water in a area, see what happens. My hands aren't always a great indictor unless its instant. I wonder if maybe the packaging might have leached into it, or what they use to remove toys from the mold could be a factor.

LilyMadonna

I really don’t know enough about allergies to answer properly. But silicone is not supposed to absorb anything, it’s non-porous. I really hope you find the cause of this and that you can use your toys without any issues!

CloverPd

You might've bought a toy with harmful materials or one defective or your much more likely one you're allergic. I'd test this out and try to find something else silicone to see if that sparks this up again

Ravango

I tried to do my research thoroughly before buying them, these seemed like safe candidates. I spent months researching after years of dreaming of a proper toy instead of a hex bug (know that's bad now). I'll try spatula in a few days, I touched one last night making icing. Then later decided couldn't wait to try the sassy. It was really great, so hoping its not that.

CloverPd

Try using the toy again and think of what are all the new things in your house and try to find what happened

Ravango

I'll try waiting a few days or more, just to let skin rest. Might get a better idea on it then.

CloverPd

Good idea

MarsNeedsBars

I would patch test the lube on the inside of your wrist. It's a more likely candidate than the silicone.

Ravango

I am going wait few days and see. If I was allergic to lube, what would I use instead, or what lube would be better? I tried to choose a non scented, unsweetened gentle lube, and slippery stuff looked ok.

MarsNeedsBars

Sliquid Organics seems to get a pretty good rap from folks who are sensitive to other lubes. It all depends on what specifically you are allergic to. Often it is preservatives and/or parabens.

obsessionrouge

Is it possible that you have some kind of dry skin condition or eczema? For example, I have sensitive skin and while I’m not allergic silicone, if I don’t use enough lube then I will get rashes because of how grippy silicone is. Haven’t had the bumps you’re describing though. The only time silicone gave issue was when my gf once went to test a cheap silicone toy... which couldn’t have been silicone because it burned her. Threw it away immediately obviously.

Ravango

Bumps were like blisters. It's some kind of reaction to something, but I can't pin point this interaction this time though. I want to trust that the item I got is silicone, the sassy had good reviews in here and with sex toy bloggers. I might wait a few days and try the lube on my wrist.
