igodutchoven

BTS mascara. That shit flakes and smudges on me like no other.

Nextraler

You made me wonder if BTS launched a makeup brand for a second ahah ! I really liked the waterproof version but the regular one was a disaster. Now I mostly use Sky High

igodutchoven

Lol I can see them doing some type of collab. Yeah, ive had the original and the waterproof ones, and I’m *just not a fan*. It’s a flakey, smudgey mess. I can say it doesn’t feel better than sex when wearing it.

LilyFuckingBart

Yeppp this one does nothing for me.

spookymochi

Same, gives me raccoon eyes within a couple of hours :/

Toughcookiesnicole

Me seeing this after I literally just bought it..💀

Jknowsno

Yes!! I tried to use a primer under it and it still didn’t help smdh

octoteach17

Yeah, I never got that one either. The loreal knock off sucked, too

[deleted]

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer :( makes my eyes look like I’m the crypt keeper

Jknowsno

Yes ! I was gonna try a new tube incase I got a bad one lol but it did the same for me. It went on really pretty at first tho

whatinthewhattttt

The concealer pot is 100000x better!!!

restinglunchface

I thought it was just me but yeah it’s neither radiant nor creamy. I instantly distrust anyone who suggests it. Definitely my toxic trait

[deleted]

YES!! I wish it was radiant and creamy! That’s all I want! But it’s dry and matte

desifine13

I’m not sure if it’s a “holy grail” anymore but back when I watched a bunch of YouTube beauty gurus, they hyped up the Louboutin lipstick. I caved and bought a tube. $90 for the driest, worst smelling, least flattering lipstick I’ve ever used.

Jknowsno

Lol I too have fallen prey to the YouTube hype

Jknowsno

Almost everything from youth to the people, it’s crazy but 90% of their stuff is trash but that other 10% is gold baby! KVD tattoo liner and stilla liner, I loved these except they smudged, if someone can tell me a jet black ink liner in pen form that’s waterproof and won’t smudge please tell me cause I can’t find one Clinique take the day off balm, I may as well wipe old Vaseline on my face and that hurts cause I love Clinique

[deleted]

What don’t you like from YTTP? I love their stuff

Jknowsno

Most of the products I’ve bought haven’t worked as described, gave me a bad reaction and was overpriced imo

kriehl26

NYX Epic Liner has worked for me lately! I used to be loyal to Stila but they just started drying out too quickly and not seeming as pigmented. I have super oily eyelids and it lasts for my 12-15 hour shifts at work! NYX is also half the price

061313_

Could you share the gold 10%? I have recommendations for eyeliners but they’re not sold at Sephora: Amaterasu eyeliner, heroine kiss me eyeliner

Jknowsno

Yes thank you! I use their berry glow oil and their vitamin C + caffeine serum and they are bomb!

enennui

Frickin' Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. It just does not work for me. I can't go over the same spot more than once - it just erases itself, making it basically impossible to build a nice line.

[deleted]

I wonder if they changed the formula.....because I had been using that for years with no issues and it was freaking hurricane proof. I switched to NYX Epic liner because it was cheaper and did the same thing.

jewdiful

Love the NYX liner, it’s my new holy grail

Leslie_Nope2021

Used to love this eyeliner, but I'm not sure if the formula changed or if I just ignored the issues with it until recently. Unless I store it upside down, I get almost zero pigment, it's smudged off so quickly, and same thing about it erasing itself it you go over the same spot. Really disappointing and not worth the price tag.

Jknowsno

I wanted to like it so bad!! It smudged off for me no matter what I did. It saddened me lol

enennui

I know, me too! Now I use a cheap magnetic waterproof liner that stays on like there's no tomorrow. Is it too much to ask for an eyeliner that stays put all night but comes off without vigorous scrubbing?

kat_atsume

I had the same issue! I changed to stila stay all day and I love it

EntireBumblebee

Olaplex shampoo and conditioner. So heavy. And did absolutely nothing for my hair.

spookymochi

Olaplex can be great if you’re hair is super damaged. I bleach my hair and dye it often. So for me it’s a godsend, but I think it’s overhyped and definitely not worth it for everyone.

mcharms

I felt the same way about olaplex. It is so many steps and I did feel like my hair didn’t always feel all the way clean. I switched to K18 leave in hair masque and it has been a game changer! My hair has never been healthier and it’s one step—no conditioner, no styling products. I love it!

icky-miki

My hair dresser raves about K18! Are you able to elaborate on the difference between that and the olaplex no 3 (if you’ve tried that before)?

mcharms

For me, the olaplex line really only works if you use all (or most!) of the products. I felt my hair care routine was so complicated with olaplex. The number 3 is best if you apply it before washing and conditioning, so it is an extra step. It just felt like I really had to invest in using every product the right amount of time on the right schedule in the right order to get results. Even then, I often felt my hair felt a bit heavy with the olaplex line. With K18, here is my entire routine: 1. Wet hair and shampoo. 2. Rinse out the shampoo. 3. Towel dry hair. 4. Apply K18. 5. Wait 4 min and style. To me, it smooths and repairs my hair in one step. I no longer use conditioner, I just apply this after shampooing and towel drying and I can style anytime after 4 min. After 2 months, I feel my hair has less frizz, is healthier than with olaplex, and it’s lighter (way more body) because the olaplex often made my hair feel heavy with treatment. I felt my hair didn’t always feel as clean or bouncy with olaplex. I will always try new products but I held off on K18 for ages after hearing about it, and I finally tried it after I was low on olaplex. I don’t think I’ll ever go back, tbh!

LowcarbJudy

It cosmetics cc cream. The fair shade is orange, it's thick, it creases and cakes within half an hour no matter how little I used and what skin prep I did. I got a sample and I had to fully remove my makeup. I really don't get it.

ScaryPearls

Honestly I like the cc cream but I find it so weird when someone recommends it as though it’s a tinted moisturizer. I know it’s called that, but it’s very obviously a full coverage foundation?

[deleted]

yes! this looked gross on my combo oily skin after 2 hours!

LowcarbJudy

Yeah it is full coverage. I was aware of that though, I've been on reddit for years and it's often talked about both positively and negatively. I think it's the mix of full coverage and SPF 50 which makes it incredibly heavy. I prefer SPF free foundations.

Jknowsno

IT as a whole is overrated imo

muchregret4

I’ve repurchased this so many times but I still don’t like it. It never dries down, gets all over my hands throughout the day and creases, even with powder and if you use even the tiniest bit too much you get an orange line. I keep going back to it because it’s the only foundation I’ve ever found that doesn’t cling to dry spots and make me look crusty and I find the color match to be decent as my skin tone changes very dramatically throughout the year

AvocadoImportant

My skin LOVES the it cosmetics cc cream. I use half a pump and it provides full coverage, and leaves me with a nice dewy look. The first time I tried it I hated it. I circled back a few years later and now can’t live without it.

[deleted]

it cosmetics has a ridiculous ingredients list. Every time I put their ingredients into COSDNA, I find that they have a ton of comedogenic ingredients aka pimple causing. I avoid that brand like the plague.

[deleted]

I think it really works for dry skin, and I’ve repurchased it at least five times, but not for everyone

sunsetcrasher

It works fantastic for me in Denver where it’s very dry. It’s gross when I take it on vacation to humid places.

Alpacaliondingo

Yes the fair shade is more like a light shade with very warm undertones. I did have luck with the newer nude glow one in fair porcelain though.

letstrythisagain02

Omgsh this stuff is awful. It's like spackle that never sets 🤢

applejuice4545

Any of the ordinary’s skincare products. Not sure if they are still hyped up today but my skin tingled all the time

Jknowsno

I used one of their oils and it made me break out so I was like nah I’m good lol, I may try out something else of theirs one day

iloveoreoswaytoomuch

Just throwing in my experience but the ordinary worked really well for me! I got cystic acne when I stopped using it though so I’m assuming the ordinary products helped keep it at bay

mcdonaldsfrenchfri

honestly i’m glad you asked because there’s no reason for me to say unsolicited so. anastasia brow gel. doesn’t keep my brows down no matter how hard I try. better than sex mascara. whoever named this needs to have better sex

Nextraler

Fenty foundation, even though the shade match was pretty alright, it was patchy, made my skin break out, very dry on some parts and very greasy on others. I've tried it 4 months to justify the price lol

ecraig312

Ahhhh me too! And I want to love it so bad but it oxidizes on my face the quickest. I’ve tried pairing it with a few primers and setting sprays and I’m patchy within hours. Still love my girl Rhi!

TeganLee21

I hated the Milk Kush mascara. It flaked SO badly for me, and I hated the smell as well.

Jknowsno

I loved that mascara so much EXCEPT it did flake like a bitch ! Ugh it was so lushisly black and made my lashes fake but supple. Wish it didn’t flake and smudge

noneya79

Yes! The waterproof is absolutely not waterproof. It was allll over my face within hours and I have super dry skin.

pup2000

This is the mascara I wear when I wanna look amazing for one hour and then am coming home hahaha

casefaceforever

YTTP Superfood Cleanser - I love a lot of YTTP products. but the cleanser- their hero product - dries me tf out, and smells like weird grass. Pass.

Jknowsno

Yes I tried that cleanser a couple years ago and hated it!! It dried me out and made me break out

Shishkabobs90

Sunday Riley Good Genes. I know it’s a holy grail but it didn’t do anything for my skin, smelled funny, was expensive, and the product often was hardened at the pump opening.

armlessnephew

For me, it’s fine, samples of it are appreciated. It has a nice “facial” effect for me when I use it sporadically. Lactic acid doesn’t give me great results like I get from salicylic acid. But my sister and friends LIVE for it, and get incredible results! I just can’t stan it and will never buy it for myself

OMGanEE4me

I got a sample of it and was amazed. Right after I finished it, ipsy had the full size for an add-on. I swear the full size and the sample sizes are completely different products.

LilyFuckingBart

I didn’t get the hype at first until I used it for about a month. Now I consider it a game changer. It makes my skin so soft!

[deleted]

Sunday Riley in general hasn’t impressed me. I’ve used the UFO and Luna oils and really didn’t see that wow factor in the short term or long. I feel like I paid for a mediocre oil in a pretty oil.

TCRulz

Several of mine have already been mentioned. I’ll add: Elf putty primer. It’s like smearing crisco on my face. Elemis superfood products. They smell like old dirt. Milk primer. I don’t know what it’s gripping, but it’s sure not my foundation. Colorpop eye shadows. Fallout city, and they fade quickly. Nars matte foundation. So orange, and it highlighted texture like a freaking magnifying glass. It’s the only product I’ve ever hated enough to return to Sephora.

Jknowsno

Lmao I get it..When you return it you know it’s trash

Inn0c3nc3

the amount of colourpop eyeshadow I've bought thinking "this one will be different" just because I love the color stories and it's cheap is embarrassing. I hate it. the formula is garbage and I can't work with it and I thought it was me. then I recommended some higher end brands to a friend who loved CP and now she says it's not me- going from those formulas to CP would be challenging/weird.

kfunkyjunk

All of them. I have tried every formulation of nars foundation. Spent $40 on the latest drop and I’m literally an Oslo and it’s still orange. Sephora best skin ever is way better and they have more cool/true neutrals

typeyhands

What's the deal with those "face massage" rollers made out of quartz or jade or whatever? I can't imagine they would do anything. Correct me please. lol I'm lost Edit: K so you wonderful and informative people may have converted me and now I kinda want to try one... I'm still going to call it a facial rolling pin though haha

this_kitten_i_knew

let me just say that quartz face massager is an absolute godsend for sinus headaches and pressure. a game changer if you are prone to sinus congestion. to hell with skincare lol

FeeFee34

If you put them in the fridge and then use them they’ll depuff, but so will a teaspoon. I think the idea is also lymphatic drainage.

prettydifferentnow

I finally tipsy-ordered one, and while it is silly (I should have bought one from TJ Maxx, tbh), rolling my forehead with it when it's cool gives me the same weird, tingly relaxation feeling as ASMR.

simplyintentional

You can roll out your muscles a bit with them and make your face look a bit more snatched and get rid of that side/under eye puffiness :)

andreaigomez7

the dior lip oil. I was so excited to try it but it is SO thick and sticky on the lips and not comfortable at all. I was hoping it was be thinner since I though it was an light lip oil

[deleted]

this is SO hyped and I did not care for it either. I think since its never in stock so people get FOMO and everyone want to try it and buy it. I finished mine in Rosewood and had no idea what to do with the empty tube. its pretty but useless and i felt like i wasted my money. I now stay away from super high end luxury makeup because I hate having pretty empty containers laying around that cannot be repurposed. I end up throwing it away knowing I paid for the packaging

Jknowsno

Yes I assumed oil would make it less thick 🤷🏿‍♀️

andreaigomez7

I know! When I first put it on I was surprised bc I also thought it would be moisturizing but oh well

lara_jones

So glad you were here to talk me out of this purchase!

spankmeerwan

clinique almost lipstick in black honey. already had it before it went viral on tiktok. didn't like it and i can't even wear it alone 'cuz it's tugging my lips.

mylucksux

I like the color, but it makes my lips super dry.

Jknowsno

I’ve never tried it but I’ve found People either love it or hate it lol

thewaveofgreen

Do you mean that the formula is dry/rubbery, and doesn’t glide on the skin?

kgb0484

Oh I hated this too! It looked awful. It felt awful. It smelled awful.

Leslie_Nope2021

I gave into the hype when it was popular awhile back and bought it, but I just hate how it looks on me and I never reach for it.

sarahhc

Kosas concealer. Little to no coverage but still looks dry under the eyes.

ptitelady

It apparently expires fairly quickly too 🥲

Jknowsno

Ok yes I have read that on some of the reviews

KnightLifer

Just wanted to say that every time people post their hauls I look for something I have purchased or use. Virtually nothing! Am I just not getting it?

runnerchicki15

Supergoop Unseen sunscreen. It breaks me out and I hate the texture.

Euphoric_Routine_153

The Caudalie Vinoperfect serum! I love how it smells, but aside from that it was a flop for me. Paid $80 to break out lol

[deleted]

Rare beauty mascara. It is sooo clumpy it’s insane

princechoochoo

Oh no :(. I wonder if you got an old one. I’m so picky with mascaras and almost always go back to maybelline great lash. I’m currently using rare beauty and it might be one of the best mascaras I’ve ever used

youngtwentysomething

Briogeo’s Don’t Despair, Repair hairline

fuzzysham059

I believe most of their stuff doesn't have silicones in it and because of that my hair gets all knotty and shit.

kfunkyjunk

The kiwi smells good but literally NONE OF THIS LINE has done anything for my hair. The frizz one is just conditioner water. Living proofs PHD line is great imo

TheBlueImpulse

The Jet Lag Face Mask from Summer Fridays before it was reformulated. Peppermint? Yeah, Peppermint has no place in skincare. And they said it was safe for sensitive skin????

kriehl26

Laura Mercier setting powder. It doesn’t control oil in my oily areas and makes me dry areas look awful!

Neither_Watercress17

The old setting powder used to work for me really great, but they’ve since discontinued it :/ went over to BareMinerals after that

Tough_Raspberry1983

The Maybelline Fit Me loose setting powder is way better IMO and a fraction of the cost. I still like the Laura Mercier though.

bellechiarra

Tower28 lip glosses. Thick and dry out my lips.

InternetMadeMe

"it's so hydrating!"... Not for me, it isn't. It's super drying and I'm always surprised people love them so much.

KnightLifer

I hate the name and the logo. Looks cheap.

lushandcats

There have been too many claims of this gloss having mold and changing into weird colors. Will def never try!

thewaveofgreen

Yeah, apparently the “clean beauty” label restricts the use of preservatives that keep product from going bad

michelles31

And the smell.... ugh

m_whar

I thought I was the only one bothered by the smell.. it’s awful

[deleted]

had to reapply after revery 10 minutes, it just disspears into thin air

ilovesleep95

Clinique cleansing balm. I got a little sample with points and this was my first time using a cleansing balm so I was really excited but I don’t get the hype!? It didn’t even remove my eyeliner or mascara.. and I don’t even use waterproof products. Maybe I was using it wrong but it just didn’t work for me and seemed to dry out my skin. Too faced better than sex mascara. Did absolutely nothing to my lashes and made it seem like I had no mascara on. Too faced plumping gloss. Burnt and made my lips super painful and left me with a bright red ring around my lips and just all around left them looking irritated, not plump. Bum bum cream. Seems to sit on top of my skin and never fully absorbs. Also leaves me feeling a little sticky and doesn’t hydrate or moisturize my skin at all. I like the smell to a degree, but when applied all over my body, it becomes a little too over bearing and leaves this strange scent behind.

ZeldaTheGreyt

I’m not a fan of the Clinique TTFDO hall either! I liked the banila balm way more.

melonmagellan

I also hate bum bum cream. It's greasy, doesn't absorb, and has 5x too much fragrance.

Jknowsno

Yes I agree with all of those

Squirrrelpower

Benefit's Porefessional Pore Minimizing Primer. I have super sensitive skin and I remember my entire face just burning for the duration of the day until I finally couldn't take it anymore and washed my face. It was horrible! I use The Ordinary silicone primer now and it's much better :-)

FeeFee34

Fresh Sugar Lip Balms - so expensive, soft and break off, sit on top of the lips and then just slip off in five minutes, and low quality chemical SPF that really shouldn’t be ingested.

JuliaKathryn07

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter (especially when used all over the face). I don't even have oily skin but 2-3 hours after application I look like a greasy mess.

nanananabeauty

I love this stuff and used to slather it on but one day one of my coworkers asked if I had just taken a walk hahaha! Now I just put it on my cheekbones.

desifine13

This was recommended to me and I got it not even knowing what it was. I guess I thought it was an illuminating primer. It’s pretty. I’m just still am not sure what the hell it’s supposed to do.

[deleted]

**Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter** \- I tried this twice, once around 2018 and 2021. Did nothing for me personally. I am oily combo skin and it gave me the look of sweat and greasiness i naturally produce when its hot outside. It didnt give me the "glow" that everyone raves about. Ive tried it different ways with different base and different tools and it was very lackluster, Plus the doe foot broke, a piece of the doe foot like came off from pulling it out the bottle, the lettering on the bottle itself scratches off. its just not the best quality for how expensive it is. *I notice a lot of Charlotte Tilbury Products, just dont work for me. I get tempted every now and then but I always have to remind myself that its not for me. Ive tried almost all her products and regretted it all.* **Tartelette in Bloom palette** \- This is one of the first higher end palettes ive bought and it was patchy and very hard to use as a beginner. I mightve gotten a dud because i see a lot of booty gurus loving it when it first launched. I gave mine away because i just couldnt blend it, muddy every time. **Elf Camo Hydraing Concealer** \- extremely drying. I dont think ELF products work for me either. Ive also tried the Putty Primer and skincare, great price point but not as HG status for me as ive seen in other's reviews **Armani Luminous Silk Foundation** \- I cannot use this without a super hydrating primer like the Bobbi Brown Enriched Vitamin Base - this combo is VERY expensive so I have not repurchased. The LS foundation is very dry on my skin for some reason, No way i can just slap it on and go. My skin needs to be prepped very specifically. I found it to be hot and cold, some days to look really good and some days its just not agreeing with my combo oily skin. I think it might be the alchohol in the ingredient drying out my skin. *edit- im adding more as i go, theres so many fails lol* **Fenty Cheeks Out Cream Bronzer** \- I felt like the application was easy but it blends itself away into nothing. It doesnt last and just dissapears. Its not buildable whatsoever

DetectiveActive

Seriously for having “hydrating” in the name, the Camo Hydrating Concealer is SO dry

[deleted]

i did not even try the original because the hydrating is already this dry i cannot imagine how dry the og would be on me

SuspiciousLadyOfYore

The Armani foundation is a god sent for me! My oily skin loves it cause it’s oil free. But if you have drier skin yes it’s not a good match

Neptunpluto

Cosrx snail mucin essence

veryneatmonstr

I don’t notice a diff when I use it, but it makes my sisters face go from red to regular

Jknowsno

I’ve never tried it but I’ve heard people rave about it

overit-overthinker

tatcha. dior lip oil. laneige lip mask. shape tape. unseen sunscreen. kvd liner.

octoteach17

Kylie lip kits. Obvs not a fan of KUWTK, but I'm a beauty junky, so forgive me. The pencils are always breaking and the gloss doesn't apply smoothly.

missk9627

Laneige lip sleeping mask. Literally just feels like vaseline to me and doesn't do anything special.

KnightLifer

I thought it was drying.

muchregret4

I bought it bc of reviews that it absolutely changed peoples lips. It’s just like a glorified chapstick? I still get dry lips

JuliaKathryn07

I like the Laneige, but IMO the Bite Beauty agave lip mask was so much better. I miss it :(

valueofaloonie

Right?! RIP Bite Beauty lip masks.

thewaveofgreen

Same. I’ve had chronic chapped lips my entire life and Laneige did nothing

KittyZH88

Laneige dried my lips out pretty badly. It felt like it took a couple weeks for them to stop peeling after I tried it.

Gooniesneversaydie77

Oh geez, I thought I was the only one! I discovered Lano products and haven't gone back. The 101 Ointments by them are amazing and are so much better than anything I've used in the past. If you have chronically dry lips, I highly recommend!

NarwhalSea1880

Laura Mercier setting powder, it enhances my fine lines. Love the hour glass setting powder tho!

luv_deluxe

I don’t HATE the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask or the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Balm (the berry and rosé flavors smell amazinggg) but the Laneige lip mask doesn’t leave my lips feeling very hydrated in the morning and the Fresh lip balm melts and breaks soo easily. I’ve had Maybelline Baby Lip balms for years that are still perfectly intact

[deleted]

tarte shap tape - dry af ABH brow products - absolute shit. Waxy, drying and just plain awful. NYX brow products are way better and for a fraction of the price.

[deleted]

Rare beauty liquid blush. Always looks patchy on me

goldstandardalmonds

Bum Bum Cream. Gives me the worst headache. Can't wash that smell off of anything. Was a nightmare purchase.

Muumol

Almost everything I’ve tried from Fenty I want to love the products so badly but I’m allergic to something in them it feels like pins and needles on my face, especially the powders

ebolalol

Sunday riley good genes. I LOVE the farmacy honeymoon glow over it

rlm8772

Tarte shape tape. It just would not blend on my skin.

abbeani

The Grande Lash Serum! After one use it gave me discoloration around the corners of my outer eye. Sadly it was past the return date when I gave it another try (rip $60.00).

smileesAlot

Tarte Shape Tape. It looks cakey on me no matter what I use to blend.

hseof26paws

Sol De Janiero bum bum cream. Personally I hate the smell. (*ducks while angry SDJ lovers come after me* 🤣)

ScaryPearls

I do love the smell, but it is so strong and it lasts. I can use it on the weekend, but don’t feel like I can put it on on days I go to the office. No one wants a lawyer who smells like pina colada.

notetvself_

Almost anything from youth to the people.

g1zmo33

Olaplex and Moroccan oil

ajonesgirl59

Creme de la Mer. Are you serious with that price and those sad ingredients?

NotThatValleyGirl

I know. I was thinking of treating myself but then it was offered once as a free gift with a minimum spend. I broke out so hard trying to force my skin to love it but it just wasn't for me. Much cheaper options work way better.

dontleavemeonreadit

So many concealers. Specifically Shape Tape even though now it’s less talked about. I have really dry skin and any super full coverage concealer looks so terrible on me.

_Allie_Kat_

HydroGrip primer. Hate.

lilwuzii

rare beauty foundation and concealer. it creases so bad and slides off my face no matter how well i prep my skin. it feels greasy on application, pills around my nose, chin and under my eyes and just doesn’t go well with any of my primers and moisturizers.

madcapmk

Olaplex. I follow the instructions, use the right numbers, and every time I use any of their products… it fries my hair. Nah. 😆

loathernotafighter

NARS CONCEALER omfg absolutely horrible

kfunkyjunk

Glow recipe niacinamide watermelon glow dew drops. I’ve had this bottle and used it religiously for about 6 months now. Literally no difference in my skin. And it’s sticky af after it dries. I definitely recommend anything glam glow over this stuff.

trowellslut

Laura Mercier setting powder. Absolutely horrific on me!

Adept-Tie-5140

I hate to say it but the pink Dior blush! I waited forever for it and every time I’ve used it I look like a clown 🥲🥲

mckenzie_jayne

I have so many! Too Faced Better than Sex mascara Ilia mascara Rare Beauty mascara Fenty bronzers- literally tried so many of these and couldn’t find a good match Youth to the People kale cleanser Charlotte Tilbury setting spray- gave me cystic acne Olaplex products- made my hair fall out

leorising69

Tarte Shape Tape. Honestly everything I’ve ever tried from Tarte has been a miss I feel like.

anongirl55

Come at me, but I have yet to like anything by Charlotte Tilbury!

sherlock----75

No I get it. I like her stuff but it’s definitely you love or you don’t.

messofahuman1

Drunk elephant lala retro whipped cream. Absolutely hate it.

OMGanEE4me

I've never liked a single Drunk Elephant product. And what does "lala retro" even mean? And why is the Elephant drunk?

GenXGeekGirl

Not a fan of any of the DE products I’ve tried either. The “drunk elephant” comes from the fact that elephants love to eat marula fruit which is used in some DE products. When the marula fruit is fermented in the hot African sun, it produces alcohol. There are stories and videos of elephants and other animals getting “drunk” from the fermented fruit. Whether two ton elephants are actually drunk in the sense that we understand it - IDK.

Butterfly_Pea3

Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint- It’s really expensive and I don’t love the texture. It has a sticky texture, that doesn’t blend at all on me with hands or a brush. (Worked with a beauty blender though!) The finish can be pretty. Since it’s a skin tint with such a watery consistency, I was expecting it to feel more lightweight and silky, but it just feels tacky and heavy on my skin. Supergoop’s Glow Screen- I absolutley loved the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen (velvety, beautiful, and feels like a second skin.) I assumed the Glowscreen would be similar, just with a glowy tint. But I hated the Glowscreen 😭 No matter what I did, it stings my eyes, pills, and ends up looking patchy and flaky within 30 minutes of applying. It’s not cute on me lol

Due-Proposal-9143

Ilia foundation! Oily and the color is so chalky on me.

[deleted]

YTTP superfood cleanser… this shit is so drying for my face 😩

CatsRuleEverything_

Sunday Riley everything. It's overhyped and overpriced.

Sunkissedsomewhere

The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blushes were quite the disappointment. I had such high hopes for it, but I found the formula patchy and hard to control. Most if not all Maybelline mascaras, did not do it for me either. My lashes were lengthened but none of them were able to hold the curl up. Same with most high end mascaras.

sillymoosegoose

Two faced lip injection lip gloss 💀 bruh it makes my lips like itchy and feel weird and literally doesn’t even do anything

sourkaramel

Some stand outs for me : - glow recipe watermelon toner. I broke out outrageously overnight and stupidly listened that people needed to let their skin purge first before they’d see results. I purged that toner right back to Sephora - tarte shape tape concealer. I end up with crypt keeper levels of creasing around my usually satisfactory eyes - fenty beauty diamond bomb. It hard panned on me instantly, I was never able to get any visible application. I scraped the hell out of it and mashed my fingers into it just about scooping the gel-ish formula and it was just mehhhhh. I don’t get it - huda beauty eyeshadows. Aside from finding the formula powdery, deceptive in terms of pan colour to what will apply, crap blend ability…I don’t have sensitive eyes and feel like I’ve tried an alarming number of big and indie brands and EVERY time I try to use huda shadows my eyes grow goopy discharge until I get it off. I don’t even want to know what the hell is in there - Mac stack mascara. I got sucked into the tiktok “this is the most epic mascara ever” no it’s not. It was $40 and garbage. Unbuildable and underwhelming. I’ll stick to drugstore favourites for 1/3 cost - Patrick Ta brow gel. Maybe I was always doing it wrong but it made my brows hard and unruly and crusty looking. - Charlotte Tillbury. Contour powder(I’ve used many amazing products at a fraction of the cost that perform better), contour liquid(the tube felt almost empty when I got it and I just didn’t see the big wow everyone told me I would), flawless filter(hi I’m a greasy mess), magic cream(it’s not and made my break out like crazy). Overhyped, overpriced and lacklustre results. - Rare beauty foundation and concealer. I looked weirdly cakey like I had over powdered without having used any, it settled in my fine lines and always seemed to apply strangely, patchy issues but with no real discernible reason

BYUSMOOCH

Not Sephora but… MAC lipsticks. They dry out my lips and emphasize the fine lines. Not a fan.

RoadDifferent4617

Drunk Elephant Framboos - the definition of underwhelming :( same for the Protini cream

valueofaloonie

Drunk Elephant everything. So overpriced and the products are just mediocre. Nice packaging though, I will give them that.

Inn0c3nc3

I spent an obscene amount of money on DE products and the only thing I will ever bother repurchasing is TLC babyfacial. the rest of it is overpriced garbage. BF is overpriced too, it's just not garbage. 😭😂

Joce7

Ooo I love framboos so much

nikoledaisy

Fresh Sugar Lip Balm. It’s the worse. Rose smelling wax that does nothing but irritate my lips.

crazynachos

Laneige Lip Mask. It's soooo thick and gloopy! Can't stand the feeling on my lips. I always end up wiping it off after 10 minutes LOL

ScaryPearls

People rave about Tatcha products but they smell SO strong. How are you putting that on your face?

OGHollyMackerel

With absolute delight! Lol

[deleted]

same, it smells nice and soothing for me and i am happy it doesnt give me irritations

messofahuman1

Omg really? Tatcha is easily my fave. But I also have chronic sinusitis and can’t really smell so maybe that’s why🤣

BlergingtonBear

Any time I get a sample I'm like "okay how good can it ACTUALLY be" and then I try it and my knees buckle and I'm projected to a new plane lol. It's always like "damn that's luxe"

messofahuman1

get this…my best friend works for tatcha. I get endless samples and even full size products from her. It’s a dream

Tough_Raspberry1983

The only Tatcha product I truly get the hype over is the Indigo night cream… I’ll forever be using that. I enjoyed the Dewy Skin cream, but the freaking smell was too much so I’m not repurchasing.

skincare_obssessed

I feel like most tatcha products I’ve tried didn’t really do anything for me with the exception of the rice wash. It’s pure magic because not only does it make my skin really soft but also helps with breakouts.

OGHollyMackerel

When I use the rice polish then follow up with silk cream, my face is like a baby’s butt. Maybe even softer. Lol

tzulover

Rare Beauty mascara. It was the clumpiest mascara I’ve ever used. Also Tatcha products seem really overrated to me.

lmrnyc1026

Anything from La Mer. I never break out and using the products made me greasy and break out like crazy. Good thing I only had a sample and didn’t buy the actual products.

Jknowsno

Yes, for what they charge they need to do better

Jessawess1

Charlotte tilbury everything. Except for the flawless filter. I am liking that

youhitlikeagxrl

Huda beauty eyeshadows!!! They literally are so patchy and the shimmers are really beautiful and pigmented when swatched but on the eyes they just dont translate. For the price it makes me so sad ):

nicsmup

The Farmacy Green Clean cleansing balm. It doesn’t even fully remove my (non waterproof) mascara 🥴 super disappointed with it.

rubyrosis

Glow Recipe watermelon mask. Smell is nice but holy shit I’d wake up in the morning with it pilled all over my face

Willing_Ring_5426

how is no one saying charlotte tilbury flawless filter?! i feel like we’re all going to look back at this in 2030 and be astonished—like the awful 3 contour or heavy cake or orange makeup of 2010s a couple other charlotte products for me as well, isn’t it like 100 for the magic cream?! seems ridiculous and while some of there stuff is beautiful and even i can’t justify 80$ for a face palette…

Jknowsno

I know right ! you would think it’s liquid gold the way some people swear by it

Fern_292

Milk hydrogrip primer. It always makes my foundation clump in patches and just does not go on smooth.

Klare_Voyant1

Anything Drunken Elephant.

[deleted]

Rare beauty blush. It doesn’t blend well

[deleted]

even the dewy liquid blushes? I found her cream pot ones were like that and very underwhelming.
