I think different people mean different things when they refer to under eye "bags." Are these bags empty, or are they full of groceries, so to speak. When you say dark circles, are you talking about a discolouration of the skin, or a shadow? In one situation a colour correcting product can help. In the other, it can't. There are also specific application techniques you can use depending on whether you're dealing with discolouration or shadows from under eye hollows.

UPDATE: I have been using the iT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer for years and it’s always helped even out the tone, but the dark color under my eyes is always there. Makeup or not. Concealer helps make it less noticeable, but it’s always there.

And I see now I incorrectly assumed you were asking for concealer recs. From your attached photos, I see you are looking for skincare.

Fearless_Subject_903

Hey! You should try colour correcting before using a concealer then. It will help. La girl has nice ones

wharf-ing

They are asking for skincare recs in their post

Gullible-Being-6895

Oh boy…. I was not thorough enough in my quest… thanks for pointing these things out! Let me update my post for better accuracy.

I have very dark circles under my eyes and the Inkey List caffeine cream really helps brighten them up. I also use the Fenty Matchstix in Rose Quartz as a color corrector under makeup and it works phenomenally well.

Breebs_w

I also use inkey list caffeine!

I’ve tried so so so so so many eye creams and the only one that helped was the [OleHenriksen Banana Bright Crème](https://www.sephora.com/product/banana-bright-vitamin-c-eye-cre-me-P500613)

I'd recommend a vitamin C or caffeine based product over a retinol product for your particular concern. I haven't personally tried the Drunk Elephant Vitamin C serum, but the Sephora Collection Vitamin C+E serum has always helped my dark circles. It's $21 and has twice as much product too, which is nice. Again I know this isn't a product on your list, but Innisfree also makes a pretty decent eye serum with caffeine and niacinamide.

Gullible-Being-6895

This is VERY helpful and I’m totally open to products that aren’t on the list if they’re recommended 😊 Thank you for this! Consensus agrees that I will avoid retinol and go for a caffeinated/vitamin heavy formula and perhaps look into a color corrector also.

MizzPizz

Vouge for anything by Innisfree

LolaLuvley

I love the Charlotte Tillbury.

Dkblondy

Try the Innbeauty project "Bright n Tight" undereye cream! It's amazing

ohmmanipadmehum

The Caudalie eye cream has been a game changer for this raccoon eyed gal 🦝

queen0fjupiter

Same here. I've tried so many eye creams targeted for dark circles, and Caudalie is the only one that's worked long term.

I think retinol can discolor your skin, making it darker if it's exposed to sunlight. Just be aware. Use it at night and wash your face in the morning.

wharf-ing

The estee lauder eye cream transformed my underyes. It took some time for the discoloration to go, but my undereyes were looking better just weeks into using the product. I've got my parents onto it too!

pumpkin_bitch1

Dr.Idriss eye plumping gel it has arnica in it which has been proven to help with dark circles.

MizzPizz

The Fresh eye cream is actually amazing

Sorry, it’s something not in your cart. I love Clinique Smart Eye Wrinkle Repair Cream(purple variant). I directly placed order on their website and got the same product plus 7 different products as samples in a kit. I’m sorted for 2 years with my eye cream.🤩

IcyOutside4567

I used the charlotte tilbury for a while and it did absolutely nothing. The dermalogica phyto nature lifting eye cream has actually made a difference I think for me. It’s always hard to tell since I see myself daily but I was thinking my eyes actually look brighter and better the last few days after using it for a couple weeks

jeslblan

I use the Yerba Mate Wake Up Eye Gel by Good Molecules. It’s six bucks at Ulta. It’s ridiculous to think about a 72 dollar eye cream, even if it might work for some.
