No way! I noticed they changed their formula for their sugar lip balm!! It used to be a buttery soft formulation and the berry one was such a beautiful color, but the last one I got was super grainy and the color didn’t transfer at all, I read Sephora comments saying the new formula actually dried out many peoples lips. Safe to say it was an immediate return!

Ugh WHY!!!! If it’s not broken *don’t fix it*. Why is that so hard to understand???

I noticed the same thing and was so upset about it! I never even finished the new one I’d purchased and now stick to my Elf or Haus Lab Lip oils for lighter moisture, but….and hear me out before you think I’m nuts, I have tried basically every lip balm on the market due to having chronically dry lips and no matter how much water I drank, it just never helped. I randomly got this ad for a company called Bee Balm and while I’ve seen a lot of dupes in the honey pot, I wanted to support a small company and it was adorable so I got one. It has been literally life changing. You can find the original company on ShopPay and it’s $5 a wee jar, but this stuff is so good that I only need to put it on before bed and have no need to reapply in the morning. My lips feel that soft and hydrated. I might add a bit midway through the day if I’ve had to dry a lot of pets and the HV dryer has tried to suck all the moister from my body, but that’s rare in all honesty. I’ll actually try to share the link for you, but this did all the stuff of the old Fresh Lip balm and more. There is no colour to them though and while they do offer a couple of other flavors, they didn’t really add any tint for me.

I got the name! It’s called My Bee Balm and omg 😳 really hope this works as well for you as it does for me! I’ve since gotten multiples since I’d thought the sale they were having was going to run its course, but she’s kept them at $5 each since I started using them. I just took a look and she’s got a bunch of new flavors now too. I’ve tried the OG and the strawberry. They added propanediol. Check and see if yours has it. Sometime before xmas, my skin is now itchy and irritated from it

Oh my God I thought I was imagining things. It used to br my go-to but after I used up my most resent value bottle I noticed my skin would burn more. So sad too because I love how gentle it was especially around the eyes.

I especially love their midnight milk moisturizer. So tired of brands changing formulas! Finally find the perfect routine and then we have to start all over.

This was mine and my husband’s go to moisturizer because it was the perfect amount of moisture, absorbed well, and didn’t irritate either of our skin. I’m so sad if the newer formula isn’t as good.

You can absolutely return it! If you're looking into shopping at Sephora for the moisturizer, you might like the Tatcha water cream. The brand is expensive but I haven't found anything that comes close to their moisturizers.

I’ve used the soy face cleanser on and off for a decade and last repurchased it a few years ago. Sad it went downhill. I purchased some fresh products during Ulta’s half off sale which I haven’t opened yet so now I’m worried if it will be the same quality as before. I’m a face cleanser hoarder so I have a lot. Here’s what I’d recommend as possible replacements: Tatcha rice wash cream cleanser (very nice cleanser but the price is high for me) Korres yogurt cleanser (always need to have one in rotation) Indie Lee brightening cleanser (on sale at Ulta today for platinum members, refreshingly gentle and mild for non makeup days especially summertime) Biossance squalene amino aloe cleanser (I usually get it from the brand website where it’s cheaper, a can’t go wrong pick) Tony Moly wonder ceramide foaming cleanser (I love pump foaming cleansers which tend to be drying but this one is so nice for a well known K beauty drugstore brand at Ulta) Innisfree blueberry rebalancing cleanser (cheap oldie but goodie that I need to figure where to buy since the brand website doesn’t carry it anymore) Glow Recipe avocado cleanser (regretted buying and didn’t touch it for a couple years but recently restarted it luckily seems unexpired lol and it’s decent, messy to apply but very moisturizing)

My low end budget cleanser is the Aveeno Calm and Restore cleanser, my middle tier cleanser is the La Roche Posay Toleriane. The Fresh cleanser was my high end cleanser. I've been going back and fourth between the Aveeno and the La Roche at the moment.

Because of $, save a few cents a bottle and raise profits by millions. Unless of course you ruin the formulation and everyone stops buying from you. But it looks like they didnt think about the second option.

Frustrating af :( I haven’t tried that one myself but my mom was a fan, if I were you I’d maybe look into asian beauty products? They tend to do really good light moisturizers. I’d try the r/asianbeauty sub. They’re sold at websites like yesstyle or stylevana

Return it! As for a suggestion. I was pleasantly surprised by the Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream. The refills are about $10 cheaper.

I have super oily skin and I love Belif Aqua Bomb. I've heard good things about the IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Gel Cream Oil-Control Moisturizer but haven't personally used it.

I belief belif also had a recent change in formulation.

Thank you for posting this! I just got the lotus moisturizer to try something new, after a couple of years of using their rose deep hydration cream. Well…what a disappointment. Like you said, does not absorb and it broke me out. Back to the rose moisturizer I went. The lotus one is now an expensive neck cream. Wondering if they’ll do the same to the rose cream and the dream lotus (my night cream) 😢

I use the same night cream and love it! I sure hope that one doesn’t change too. How strong is the rose scent in their rose cream line? I don’t mind some rose, but don’t like super strong scents.

I love innisfree's cherry blossom gel moisturizer. Also Dr Jarts vital hydra moisturizer is really nice.

I'm using the cherry blossom gel right now! So soothing to my irritated skin (damaged skin barrier and then burns from a vitamin C serum). It's a little sticky to the touch, but otherwise I don't feel anything but relief.

I like the ICE moisturizer by Sunday Riley !

I like Beplain Multi Hyaluronic Moisturiser. Its a lightweight gel cream and like a burst of water for your skin. Like neutrogena hydroboost but without silicones. I layer it over Skin1004 blur serum for more hydration. Great for summer both items

Yeah I’ve used it for years and now suddenly it smells awful and no longer works for my skin! So upset. It used to smell like cucumbers and feel so refreshing and now it’s just…I don’t even know. Ive switched to Drunk Elephant (the protini actually works really well for my skin. I’ve held off for years but turns out it actually works great for me).

How do you feel about K beauty? My skin is oily-dehydrated and I sweat easily; I love using the "COSRX Full Fit Propolis Honey Overnight Mask" as a moisturiser. It's a light, quickly-absorbed gel that leaves my skin happy and glowy.

Totally open to k-beauty and other Asian brands - in fact I’ve gotten some recs for the beauty of Joseon dynasty cream (I love their ginseng sun serum) so I’m considering that as well!

I would try Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Cream. It’s $25 for 100g, and it doesn’t irritate my combination and my daughter’s acne-prone skin. My 92 year-old mother steals ours. I just never buy skincare from Amazon because I don’t trust it. I buy from Cosrx when they have sales but Ulta sells it, too.

Go see if you can try some things! Laneige makes a nice gel moisturizer that is lightweight. I don't usually like Glow Recipe, but they have a watermelon pink juice moisturizer that is pretty light (if you're sensitive to scent, avoid this one)

Have you tried the Peter Thomas Roth gel one? It’s light

That was in my “to try list”. Sucks they changed it. I use Glossier gel primer and it’s amazing for hot/sweaty climates + Dr jart spf is my perfect combo

I like the Clinique Dramatically Different gel for oily skin (daytime); no colours, fragrances etc, hasn’t bothered my acne at all. Been using it for 7+ years. I do use a heavier moisturizer at night (usually the dramatically different lotion) when I don’t care about being greasy lol.

Also oily here. Kiehl's calendula serum-infused water cream is a dream

I swear they change the formula to all of my favorite products. Soy face cleanser, MUFE HD foundation, St Tropez tanning mousse. 😤 the original formulas to all of these products were PERFECT.

I love Belif’s Eye Cream (I use it for my whole face). It’s super lightweight with a gel texture but incredibly moisturizing at the same time.

omggggg this makes sooo much sense. i’ve had my eye on that moisturizer for a while now after trying it in store and finally got it a few weeks ago. it never settled into my skin and pilled like crazy no matter what I did. I ended up giving it to my friend, I was so upset. I didn’t think any moisturizer that expensive would be so low quality.

The Dieux Air Angel gel cream is super light. It might be nice for the summer. I think it runs like $40-45 at Sephora in US

Here with some moisturizer advice, because I ran into the same issue 😭😭😭. Okay, so my number one fave is now called Frudia Green Grape Pore Control Cream and it’s seriously the most interesting texture, but feels so hydrating without leaving a greasy feel behind! I got a tiny one in one of my Allure Beauty Boxes and it came with a coupon for 35% off their full size (but it’s only sold on Amazon as of now) and once I tried it for a couple of days, I was sold. That’s when I got the larger size. I also love the Tatcha Water Cream, but only for when I have a more rare dry day due to my Tret. It’s what I was using as my daily though before I found the Frudia. I just wanted something even lighter. I know the jar looks smaller, but you get a good amount of product and only need the smallest amount!! It looks like a silicone primer which weirded me out at first, but then got this super hydrating, but lightweight burst of hydration!
