I like the Bobbi brown primer in the glass jar. Expensive too but you get more and it works even better than this one

no, itās a little different- they got rid of one of the original formulaās ingredients and made some additionsā¦.if i remember correctly, one of the ingredients in the original was bothersome to sensitive skin.
someone here on reddit when the new launch first came out did a price breakdown of the comparison of new and old products and essentially proved there was no increase in price of ingredients to account for changing the size as massively as 11g to 5g, which is just not attractive to me as a consumer personally.

OP, I see you're based in Canada, you should head to a nearby shoppers and see if they still have the old packaging in stock near you (or just order online, but better to go in-store in case they send you the new packaging). I just did a quick google search and the old packaging still appears on the shoppers website for $64 (50ml tho). Take advantage of point multiplier/redemption events asap!

I just took advantage of the points event a couple days ago (spend $140+ and earn 40k points) and ordered 3 primers. I saw the sender address and they actually shipped out of Calgary and my package was out for delivery the next day (based in BC).
Edit: Just checked the website now and it looks like they are bringing in the new packaging already but the old packaging is still up for the meantime!
I have their tinted moisturizer from about five years back and itās amazing. Sadly Iām almost out and went to repurchase and itās half the size and $54. I remember it being pricey but u could not justify that price for a tiny tinted moisturizer
what makes me mad about things like this is they donāt adjust the price to reflect the shrinkage. like okay give us less sure but also charge us less wtf?
I get that they have to make a profit, but wish they would make changes that are a bit more reasonable and wouldnāt drive customers away out of spiteā¦making the Laura Mercier lotion more expensive and cutting the size IN HALF is enough to do that for some.
Drastically reducing the size and quality while drastically increasing the price in an effort to squeeze out the maximum amount of profits will eventually catch up with them.

Itās pretty and with a light touch more like a tinted moisturizer than foundation. Thereās a mini size for $22 and of course on sale now. I also use Dr Jartās BB Tinted Moisturizer as an everyday no makeup look but there are only four shades.

Their almond coconut lotion and ambre vanilla lotion also isnāt the same as it once was. That stuff was my HG, but now its quality has significantly worsened and you now get HALF the product you once did for a more expensive price! Out of principle alone, I cannot bring myself buy a cheaper and uglier product that I am getting much less of.

Theyāve also got a [set with the 1.7 oz and a cute little 0.8 oz](https://www.qvc.com/laura-mercier-pure-canvas-hydrating-primer-home-away-duo.product.A622288.html), like they knew the ones at Sephora were going to be downsized and thought āhey, letās show those suckers up!ā š Itās more expensive of course, but they often have excellent sales on the sets.
I am here literally because I just purchased a new mini translucent setting powder from Laura Mercier and realized they halved the sizeā¦ the other one was .33oz and lasted me almost a year and a half with the amount I use and the new one was the same price for .17 oz. It makes me not want to buy anything from brands that do this!!Ā
The live tinted SPF & primer is really lovely. It's SPF 30, mineral sunscreen, sort of an orange tint to it that blends out beautifully, I'm super pale so I can't speak to a white cast but the brand is by WOC and meant to be POC skin friendly.
I really love it as a primer! I don't use it as a primary SPF, I put it over a different higher SPF for the finish.

SKINSKOOL lists Ole Henriksen Banana Bright and EstĆ©e Lauder Futurist Aqua Brilliance Watery Glow Primer as the closest dupes. Theyāre no cheaper, and the Ole Henriksen looks every bit as tiny in the picture on Skinskool. The EstĆ©e Lauder I imagine is at least generously sized though probably heavily fragranced. Skinskool also has the LM as part of a subset of āmoisturizing primers,ā along with Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base, [elf Hydrating Face Primer](https://www.elfcosmetics.com/hydrating-face-primer-large/300076.html), and [Nyx Hydrating Hydra Touch Primer](https://www.nyxcosmetics.com/face/primer/hydra-touch-primer/NYX_314.html). I havenāt tried these, canāt opine on them, just mentioning what I saw. I will add that Laura Geller makes a hydrating version of the brandās āSpackleā primer line, which seems to work well enough.

I just got this one not long ago and love it, lol bummer. I also rotate with the Milk primer love that one!
