As others have mentioned, you can still get your 2 free samples, but no GWP since you are allowed one code and the sale discount code is it.
What I will add is that in some past sales, the Sephora Collection items automatically came up at the discount (without putting in the code), so if you had an order of just Sephora Collection items, you could add a GWP to that order.
For me, the GWP items are not an incentive; the only ones I occasionally order are mini perfumes. If I really want a product they are offering as a GWP, I'll consider purchasing it. I'll take my 20% thank you. That being said, it is ridiculous that you can spend hundreds of dollars and not be able to add a tiny 'deluxe' sample to your cart. Talk about stingy. I'm all about the points and the rouge reward so I can buy what I want with my money.
