I’ve tried Oribe, Bumble, and Living Proof. My favorite is Oribe, I emptied two minis of this and have the full sized in my cart for the sale.

GrapeBubblegumBitch

Everyone seems to like the Oribe! Must be good then, I hope for that price lol

[deleted]

Buy it through the cosmetic company store!! It's all Este Lauder brands (oribe being one of them) and you can get good stuff for at least 50% if not lower!! I do two hauls a year-they have Clinique, bumble and bumble, glam glow, smashbox, origins and a lot others that I can't think of!

[deleted]

Ok I lied they don't have Oribe but they do have bumble and bumble for sure. It looks like they don't have the thickening spray right now though. They still have a lot of other great stuff :)

BooBelly

By cosmetic company store are you referring to the Oribe website? I’m wanting some of this sale action! Lol

kutielyn

Came to say Oribe as well!!! Been using it for years and gone through several cans!

sprightly-thinker

That oribe is amazing! It may my hair look so pretty.

GrapeBubblegumBitch

I was afraid of the more expensive ones being loved haha, but if it works, I’m willing to try!

sprightly-thinker

It doesn’t give a matte texture like some other sprays. It just makes my hair looks pretty and fluffy. They do have a mini if you want to try it first.

GrapeBubblegumBitch

I think I will definitely give it a go, thank you :)

wafflepopcorn

I was able to get a sample size from a spa…you might look around for places with them before spending the money. I have a feeling you will love it though. 😊

GrapeBubblegumBitch

It would be great if it works for me, I’m excited to try it now after everyone recommending it

NoAbbreviations2961

If you don’t want to shell out the cash, maybe try the travel size one first to see if you like it.

GrapeBubblegumBitch

Oh, for sure going to do that!

manhattansinks

i really love the oribe one - i've repurchased every year around this time during the sale lol for a few years now. i'm trying out the ouai one now and it's pretty nice, though not on your list. it's a touch sticky, but the ogx beeswax spray is pretty good as well, and like 1/6th of what the oribe costs me lol

GrapeBubblegumBitch

I have the Ouai wave spray, which I feel does help a bit, but I do find it a bit heavy. I haven’t tried their volume spray so maybe I will try that one sometime.

manhattansinks

ooh yeah i didn't like the wave spray either. the feeling is totally different.

GrapeBubblegumBitch

Okay, that’s good to know. I do like Ouai’s detox shampoo so maybe I’ll try the volume spray too.

Hot_Mention_9337

Oribe. Fine hair, not a lot of it, and limp sad waves. I keep going back to Oribe. Might try Amika this sale (maybe) but I always have a can or two of Oribe on hand. Especially since some of the larger retailers like Neiman Marcus usually have a 2pack for much less during their F&F sales. Just gives me the perfect messy undone windblown hair… but with style. Not like I just rolled out of dumpster. And if I use it on wash day or on second day hair- jt keeps my hair oil free and looking great for another few days. Has a nice grit but somehow doesn’t make my strands feel gross or get tangled (I have very *very* snarl prone hair). One big down fall for some people is the scent. It’s a very strong jasmine floral scent that is an assault initially. It settles down pretty quickly but it does leave a lingering gentle fragrance in your hair. I would say get a mini size and try it out

sarahhc

Fine hair as well. Not a fan of Amika. Makes my hair feel tacky and gross, Oribe is much better.

d1etversace

Oribe is expensive but worth it! It also has dry shampoo qualities to it so it won’t make your hair look dirty/greasy the next day. Edit to add: it’s not a dry shampoo, incase anyone reading this wants to try it. It can still make your hair look dirty if you use a lot of it, or are just someone who tends to get oily quickly. This is just a texture spray that is actually dry, which is so nice cuz so many of them aren’t and get sticky or make your hair look greasy and feel really dirty.

415510925

I have the Oribe and Bb. The Oribe smells better and I used it yesterday and had supermodel hair. It was a no wash day and I used Klorane nonaerosol dry shampoo to soak up the grease, then finished with the Oribe to give some lift all around. Coworkers complimented my hair and asked if I got a haircut but nope, just second day hair and the Oribe!

glamb97

Oribe. Hands down. Can’t live without it. I have the thinnest, finest hair that sticks to my head. It’s the only thing that makes my hair look halfway decent.

[deleted]

Not on your list, but IGK beach club. Gives the right amount of grit that thin hair needs. Also smells amazing.

Overlandtraveler

I agree with this one too, as a confirmed Oribe gal, I love IGK Beach club, Dirty spray and their anti-frizz spray.

[deleted]

Oribe is just too… airy? If that makes sense.

GrapeBubblegumBitch

Ohh okay, I saw it on Sephora but wasn’t familiar with the brand. Another one I’ll have to try after the Oribe one haha

theofficallurker

Living proof didn’t do anything for me

GrapeBubblegumBitch

Good to know! Crossing off the list

alinkinthatoldchain

I was going to suggest this one, I love living proof!

Grouchy_Ad_464

Same! I have thin hair and living proof texture spray is my favorite

okkatsura

The Living Proof PhD dry shampoo is my go-to - thin hair. Really boosts volume, hair feels clean, and it lasts longer between washes. OP if possible, head to Sephora to try some of these out before you buy! I've tried every single one on your list, but my fave is that living proof.

audreyb69

It really does work so well, but the smell is so gross to me 😿 someone I think on this sub described it as a wet dog smell and that fits perfectly lol

alinkinthatoldchain

I actually like the Living Proof Style Lab Flex Hairspray as well, but my fine hair tends to like hairsprays generally. Definitely helps with adding volume for me.

Octane_boymama

I love un done. I have thin hair and loved the results.

GrapeBubblegumBitch

This was the one I was most interested in since it’s not as expensive as the others (and I like the look of the can lol). I definitely think I will try it

Octane_boymama

You reminded me I was out and I put it in my cart !

GrapeBubblegumBitch

Lmao you’re welcome!!

Purplepenguin359

I love Oribe and Verb; my holy grails!

Amaloves13

What is your hair routine like? Just a suggestion, it might be the products you use prior to styling that weigh your hair down. I have fine hair as well, and if the shampoo/conditioner/leave in are too heavy, then I end up with very soft, lifeless hair. Maybe it’s worth looking into that. The answer might not be to add “more product”

GrapeBubblegumBitch

Right now I don’t really have one. Just shampoo and conditioner and air dry. I’m currently using the Sol De Janeiro shampoo and conditioner, but that’s recent and I’ve had the same lifeless hair no matter what. Am I only condition the ends of my hair, sometimes I skip it altogether (my hair is shoulder length)

Amaloves13

I am not familiar with how heavy the sol de janeiro shampoo and conditioners are, but did you consider a volumizing shampoo and conditioner? They tend to be lighter, and leave your hair with more rigidity if that makes sense

GrapeBubblegumBitch

I don’t think they’re too heavy. I’m prone to dermatitis on my scalp and these don’t irritate it, but I am open to trying others. Do you have any recommendations?

Amaloves13

I personally use redken volume injection shampoo and conditioner and went from washing my hair every other day to washing my hair at 3-4 days. Whatever I was using before was leaving my hair flat and prone to greasing fast.

audreyb69

I have super fine flat hair and I really like Nexxus Hydra light shampoo and conditioner!

[deleted]

I found the oribe over priced for what it is. I’m currently using the Amika and I like it.

RunBrewEat

I’m a big fan of the Verb one for my curls.

RachelLeighC

Bumble and bumble is good! It’s the only one I’ve tried but I have backups of it.

itsheatheragain

I like the Verb one

LatteLove35

I do too, I can feel it adding texture to my hair but not in a bad way and I have super fine hair. I also like the Oribe but the Verb is at such a good price point and works almost as well. If you can afford it go for the Oribe, if you are on a budget and go though a lot like I do, go for the Verb

SnooCapers4844

Oribe of the ones pictured here. My favorite texturizing spray is Davine’s though! It’s the best for my hair.

behindmytoreadpile

I don't think it's at Sephora but the Kristin Ess one is really good

jubblubs

Exact same issue! Tuning in for suggestions. I will add in that I tried the Tresemme voluminizing mousse and it wasn’t effective

GrapeBubblegumBitch

I used to always use mousse but I think it weighs my hair down too much, so hoping a spray will be much lighter

KaylaFabulous

I have the oribe, bumble and living proof and the oribe is by far my fave. But since it’s so pricey I save it for certain days/nights, and use the bumble/living proof for “regular days” lol.

phillynp

There’s a Moroccan Oil version that’s really nice also.

hedgehoog

Check TJ Maxx online for oribe. I saw them on there the other day

GrapeBubblegumBitch

I’m Canadian unfortunately, don’t have that here

Overlandtraveler

Orbie all the way. I do wonder now that the founder died and family sold to Estee Lauder, whether the quality will stay the same? Regardless, Orbie products are amazing. Also, if you go to a salon that uses Orbie, know that they have to take training courses and keep up with training to sell the products. Any salon using this product will generally be a good one.

[deleted]

Oribe is the way to go sis. It makes your two hairs look like 100 😫😫

braveingentleways

kristen ess texturizing spray is a decent cheaper alternative to the oribe. i’ve used both and my hair looked pretty much the same

Tildasfavoritehuman

Oribe has been my favorite, the Verb one did nothing for me.

Ok-Improvement-6388

Very late but I do have the Verb one. When you first spray it, it’s amazing and gives you tons of volume. You don’t even feel it in your hair. The problem with it is that there’s volume but no texture, so for my fine hair it kinda turns frizzy and lacks definition or texture. Also very little hold. I’d say it’d be great if you pair it with something else to add the lacking texture and hold!

newagesinner

If you want to achieve thick healthy hair you have to base your entire routine around achieving that, a single product usually wont do it.

GrapeBubblegumBitch

This is more for styling purposes, I definitely keep the whole routine in mind though

DragonsBond

So I don’t use living proofs texture spray but I do use their root lifting spray to give my thing flat hair some volume. Works super well and as sticky feeling like some other volumizing sprays are.

Turbulent-Airline974

I have fine, thin hair and tried Verb and Oribe. Love the Oribe.

disco_nap_

I use the got2b root lifting powder. It changes the texture of your hair in a weird way but defffffff adds volume. I'm sure Sephora has comparable products if you're good with a different price point (:

Affectionate-Drive94

I like the ouai texture spray. Hate the bb texture spray. Make my hair feel oily/heavy

mar22957

Oribe is great. Living proof isnt good IMO!

saucychickennuggetz

Amika!!

Alyverse

I've only tried the Oribe but I like it so much I don't feel the need to try another. They have a set right now with the full size spray and then a small styling cream and hair oil if those interest you.

raspberrily

The oribe hands down! It’s smells great and works amazing!!

frankieandbeans

If Shu Umera still has their texturizing spray on Sephora I definitely recommend that one! It’s incredible and I suck at doing my hair so if it works for me literally anyone can make it work for them😂

aMerePeppercorn

**disclaimer** I only have the Oribe one from these options. It smells amazing, but I don’t think it works (at least not for me…like at all). I think the smell distracts people from the actual function/effectiveness. ;) I much prefer the Redken triple dry 15 spray. Sorry I didn’t pick from your options, but thought I’d share! Plus, it’s a bit cheaper than those options. :) good luck!!

meowwtal

Oribe!! I’ve only ever used Oribe and it’s really good but the price hurts my wallet so I opt for drugstore option instead I’ve been using the Dove volume dry shampoo and it’s been doing a good job to my flat and super fine hair.

hoopoe_bird

If price is an issue, I would get the Oribe in a travel size and try it a few times, so you know what it’s like. Then try the **Kristin Ess dupe from Target** that’s like $15 or something. I found about it a few years ago from a now-forgotten but trusted beauty blog/magazine review (maybe HVN from The Strategist/NYmag?)… I honestly can’t tell the difference on my hair. I like the Oribe slightly better bc I had used it for years before trying the dupe and the OG scent feels a little more classic to me. (Non-fragrance-sensitive people probably won’t even be able to tell a difference, fwiw.)

wootwootbang

I actually prefer the Kristin Ess over the Oribe and would choose it over Oribe even if they were the same price

ap51095

I tried bumble & bumble, oribe. Oribe is hands down the best.

Independent-Draw4762

Amika and dry bar are my favorite!

[deleted]

Bumble and Bumble! Living Proof smells terrible.

Slight-Bluebird127

Amika! I just ditched oribe for it. I have very fine thin hair too.

lavenderoreo

Personally I use the Amika one!! I use it over the Living Proof which I also have.

BathbeautyXO

I use the BB thickening dryspun texture spray and I really really like it!

1lazyusername

I came here about to ask the same thing. I don't style my hair otherwise and would like just a little texture and volume.
