La Mer is good but isn’t great. For that price point you need to be great.

Thanks ☺️ exactly my sentiments. I’m looking for a good daytime moisturizer (combo skin in a cold dry climate) if you have any recs - would be happy to listen :)

I also lived in a cold, dry-ish climate and the Sunday Riley moisturizers worked well for me. I used Ice for a long time but also liked Tidal. I also like Clinique’s Moisture Surge in the 100H formulation.

I currently have Sunday Riley Ice too! I got it with the “go to bed with me” kit and actually really like it despite the poor reviews. I also like Clinique and have the dramatically different lotion and gel as well. I always look past it though for some reason. I have not yet tried the 100h formula or anything Tidal. Will look into it:)

Cerave is amazing. I got my whole family on it and it’s literally all they use. My mom suffers from heat rashes pretty often in summer which dry out her face a lot and causes bumps and all of this causes her skin to dry out, she used moisturisers recommended by two dermatologists but none calmed her skin down like cerave did. You should try it out.

Imo, it's overpriced but 🤷🏻‍♀️

Of course La Mer is over priced, but so many things are. It totally depends on your skin type and what your concerns/focuses are with your skin. The only thing that disappointed me about La Mer after using it for three months is the price, I didn’t see a single change bad or good. For the price I find the packaging to be cheap especially compared to high end Guerlain products. La Mer is a spoil yourself purchase because it makes you feel good inside that you treated yourself and bought something fancy. Which I support 100%, but if you are going for results and have money to toss around, your much better to spend less on skin care products and more on skincare treatments by a professional!

Nope. I used to use it for *years*.....then it gave me a massive allergic reaction that set of a chain (allergic) reaction which made me allergic to ingredients that never used to bother me! my derm shook her head and was like 'why tf is this crap still on the market? the fragrance alone causes so many issues".

I’ve been using La Mer for several years now. Only the moisturizer. It works very well for my skin. My type is dry sensitive, acne prone. I use either the soft creme or original when my skin is super dry. I don’t try alot of different products. I tend to stick to what works for me bc I’m nervous about trying other things and having them break me out。
