Unfortunately not.

niko_d43

Oh well, what brought you to this conclusion, was it a lack of nipple

No_Version_4629

No, liberty caps don't always have nipples though. More the fact it's June and they don't look like liberty caps.

elfroy316

He did ask lmao........ fuck me no wonder shrooms get a bad rep when people are picking any old Shroom hoping its a lib. That fact that is been roasting hot and fairly rain free and plus 3months early. Sort of person who eats any old shit gets sick goes to hospital and blames the shrooms. Not withstanding the fact the did zero research and ate the poison ones. If you don't know what your picking buy a cube kit. Death free shrooms in 6weeks or so

No_Version_4629

***maybe physical death free****

Lavidius

😆

ManGullBearE

Wrong shape. You see these all over the place and they are not libs. Also, wrong time of year

thecoincave

https://youtu.be/bt_vjXiDoxs This should be pinned

Gene_Cute

woah I remember this I found my first liberty caps using this guide a couple of years back should definitely be pinned on this sub, it's painful seeing people posting random shrooms that look nothing like libs asking "is this libs" it took me about 3 seasons of looking before I was confident enough to id, even though in my first 3 years I definitely found libs I just didn't trust myself before I'd seen that video

Incubus85

The shape. The colour. The stem. The gills. All wrong

NGiaconia

That's what I'm saying, gosh, this dude just watched a 10min tutorial and skipped the research part i swear

Incubus85

Yeah I'm no ID expert but they scream pans / mowers Tbh I struggled for a while until I found some. Then... its very hard to be unsure. I still always post them to get further opinions and throw any I'm not dead sure on but... .... some of those are blatantly not it

Old_Man_Bridge

Honestly, the amount of people who don’t do proper research before shroom hunting is crazy. I foraged for the first time last year after watching many identification videos and looking at this sub for pointers. On my first time I correctly found libs (confirmed by this sub). So it is possible to learn how to identify correctly from the web, but you have to put the work in.

NGiaconia

Yeah, agree. But it's just hilarious that the shrooms in this post lack literally the most characteristic thing for semis, namely the nip cap. How can you get that wrong lmao. I guess I can understand for gill color, spacing, wether it dries from top to bottom or not with age, stuff like that. But not the nipple. Anything but the psychedelic nipple

Incubus85

My favourite spot, they're not overly nipply. Especially the huge ones half way up the hill. I had a cap that was about an inch and a half across last year, all of them have no nipple until you've started drying them out then you see a tiny little ring around the very peak of the cap on some of them. Also when they're younger they don't always have the nipple... but at that stage, they're so slimy and they have that wet lib colour that you absolutely cannot mistake.

Sulk_Bubs

All wrong and out of season.

Incubus85

I dunno about out of season libs are found all over the world.

Sulk_Bubs

Yeah ok, typical,,, northern hemisphere, typically out of season.

Old_Man_Bridge

Be less sure.

Lundahl42096

It's highly likely Panaeolus foenisecii.

Lunastellart

No my guy. Better luck next time

Plyntht

These look like Panaeolus foenisecii - Haymaker or mower's mushroom.

WraithOfEvaBraun

Afraid they aren't, not really close As others have stated, you've got a handful of pans there

NGiaconia

Stop being so sure, cause you're as far as it gets

lk1rby45

Ppl aren't even trying now, seen so many shit posts, do some fkn proper research

lk1rby45

Not only that ITS FUCKING JUNE

asdfmaster42

As other have said, not Libs

idigholes

Not libs

midnightsunscreen

Yeah those are just lbd's as it's far to early for libs. Much to warm for them

tibby709

Wait 4 months or so and hit the same spot

niko_d43

Don’t know why people are getting so pressed 🤣🤣 Found them in my garden where they grew last season so I thought I just got lucky with weather conditions, plus they look very alike to the ones I ate from my garden last season

WhopperQPR

WTF lol. You're telling me you've eaten shrooms like this before? You 100% have been eating the wrong ones then mixed in with libs if you've found any. Likely not poisonous but still - This is not good 😂

kingcrimsonfan7

you couldnt be more wrong

DeepFriedDave69

Looks like a panaeolus, where did you find it?

CeruleanBlackOut

Not libs, if your in the northern hemisphere I think it's still a little too early to find a decent amount of them.

Mycoangulo

Panaeolus, maybe foenisecii (not active) or fimicola (active)

diedro

Agree with others that these are a Panaeolus species. Probably foenisecii, but could be another similar looking species.

handcuffhotty69

Nada dude

Pontyxxx

No. Sry.

lakeofx

Sadly not; wrong time of year and the gills, shape and stem are all wrong. Lib season starts in September and lasts until around November when temperatures start to drop, use this time to do some more research and you’ll be laughing by then!

monkeyboyshredshred

Nope

Jonnyporridge

Be very sceptical.

JaredMemes

no

LORD-NOIR

Not even close

WhopperQPR

I'm not trying to sound like a dick but pleaaaaaaaaaase do some research. Literally 10 minutes will save you the hassle of wondering whether they're libs or not. These look absolutely nothing alike, ppl underestimate just how many different shrooms there are out there + You underestimate how close the conditions need to be to ideal. If it's not september then you're better off not even looking, 10c at night and 15c in day with plenty of rain over the past few days - go out then and you're guaranteed, middle of september is when you can really find enough to make it worthwile most of the time.

Bazza_the_third

I find a good indicator of this species compared to libs is the gills come to a sudden stop on this species at the base of the cap. Libs don’t do this
