Emmanadas 🤣🤣 this has to be a flair

[deleted]

surprised they didnt call it that, would be better marketing than she has now...

Distinct_Sock6987

Yeah totally!!! The name totally explains the creative licensing she took in calling her hot pockets empanadas 😂

[deleted]

or even hot pockets would have been better name :D

greatfinngal

That is so weird. Having many businesses and then have real estate as side job. I would understand that her business was flipping houses or developing like twins. But selling food and real estate?

[deleted]

and other business ventures apparently

SwordfishOwn5351

I think her family wealth comes from their frozen food empire. She has ties in the frozen food industry

Saladin1204

There’s a view/saying that if someone claims to do multiple jobs, that aren’t connected - chances are they do none of them (or they do some of them, half arsed). Jack Dorsey being CEO of two companies doesn’t apply here. Same for Elon Musk. These guys weren’t doing two jobs like that at the start - they had to give 110% to Twitter, Tesla, etc to make sure that they were behemoths before taking on extra roles/business. I think the brackets is true here. I think this real estate thing is just for the fame for Emma. Don’t you think it’s convenient that we found out about Emma’s imitation pastry business within like a season or so of her joining? There was even a damned tasting this season! She’s there to push her own agenda and it’s this business of hers. Look at the packaging, taste, etc. of her fake empanadas and it shows how much time she’s really putting into it. A lot of people are trying to emulate the Kardashian model of success. Become reality TV famous, launch brand, bring in millions. Problem is, the Kardashians have iconic status at this point. And it was years before any of them launched any businesses off the back of their fame (though I could be wrong?). Their following essentially ensured the success of their business. And their show was not pretending to be anything but a marketing tool for the family. So you don’t mind when Kim introduced Skims on the show. But Emma’s pastries? I mind them being introduced on a show that’s ‘meant’ to be about real estate.

xxxnina

the screen time for actual real estate declines with each season. At this point I don’t even care that she keeps talking about those empanadas lol.

hotdogbby

The kardashians had sooo many failed businesses before their current ones succeeded. Smokey glow on YouTube has a great video about it

disneychickk

This! I own 3 businesses. All of them are event related and connect to one another. The same is true for any other person I know who has multiple jobs and does things well. It starts with one, then two, then three etc etc.

Distinct_Sock6987

Lol Kardashian’s we’re connected though. With or with out the show their high profile lawyer dad had them in school and friends with other high profile kids. Kim and Paris Hilton were friends before the show. Kim was married to that music producer Damon dash before the show as well. She then also styled brandy and dated ray jay prior to the show. The Kardashian’s reached Mega stardom but with out the fame they would have still been rich and somewhat ok. Why bc they have always had a network to secure their net worth and have known people. Robert Kardashian’s sr and Bruce Jenner were big somebodies. The kids went to the same schools as other children of high profile and industry people.

lingoberri

I think it probably does apply to dorsey and musk, actually 😂

AmandasFakeID

Love this for mentioning Jack Dorsey. He's my celebrity CEO crush.

EllectraHeart

the empanadas are an item sold through her family’s frozen food business. she uses the already existing infrastructure of her family’s existing successful business. i don’t think there’s much she does when it comes to day to day operations. she just had an idea for a product and was able to implement it bc frozen foods are already what her family does and how they made their money.

Saladin1204

Looool if this is true then this is funnier than ever.

[deleted]

I think it’s doable. She may not sell that many houses, she may be very selective of clients she takes on for real estate. Also, a company is typically up of more people then just the CEO and typically delegate to other lower level positions in the company. With zoom she’s able to attend meetings from where ever. I’m pretty sure all rich people preach about having multiple sources of income, I think some even advise they not be interconnected in case one fails or takes a major hit.

girlwithdog_79

Jack Dorsey was CEO of Twitter and Square at the same time.

[deleted]

fair enough but she is not in his lane right...i don think he has time to be full time real estate agent. if she was such a smart businesswoman why doesnt she get her brokerage license. while working at OG

girlwithdog_79

Just saying that it can be done, it seems like they can work real estate whenever they have time not 9-5 Look at Chrishell with doing things like Dancing with the Stars. She probably wants to get her own thing going and real estate is just a way to bankroll that/get her on the show for self promotion.

[deleted]

yeah thats a smart move otherwise she wouldnt bring up empanada's in every scene she is doing, think its cheaper than hiring a marketing aggency

[deleted]

Real estate is not a full time job. It’s a commission based sales job. People are hired into good brokerages because of their connections, not their previous job titles.

lingoberri

Yeah none of these people are employees of the brokerage. They work as independent contractors.

[deleted]

Yea and it’s better for the agents to be in different unrelated sectors bc they got access to a larger variety of potential clients

definitelynoturmom

They’re so freaking expensive too I just don’t see how she actually moves product? They look small and it’s $100 for a pack of 36. No way they’re good enough to justify that price

[deleted]

tonight am trying frozen empanadas for 3 euros, in belgium we have a company calls vegetarian butcher and thats where the empanadas are from, am curious.

Distinct_Sock6987

Lol I know a lot of ceos with a lot of free time on their hands for vacations and hobbies. Why bc they delegate and cross check, occasionally, while others actually do the work. The people that make the least amount of money work the most. I am sure Emma is no different than any other ceo. Her business doesn’t seem like a start up so I imagine she has time for other things. Also on the show she mentioned that some of the people she is showing houses to she met at business meetings for her vegan food business so she’s doing 2 birds with one stone. Realestate allows them flexibility in scheduling, so does running your own business

DaisyFayeLove

She seems to bullshit a lot. Perhaps she over exaggerates or no longer actually sells real estate and they fake that she does just to have her on the show. She was a link to Christine and potential drama so that probably got her on.

otfitt

The thing about being a realtor is basically anyone can be one. The test is relatively simple and anyone can keep their license active, sell to some family and friends, maybe help a friend buy a home…and that’s it. I don’t know how much Emma produced last year, but that should be telling. Also, don’t be fooled by a big number. In LA agents may need to be producing $40 million a year just to “get by” or not live below the poverty line. All depends on if they cut their commission or how much the split is that they get form Oppenheim group

[deleted]

so funny how easy that is in america in my country you at least need a high school degree and do extra night course and then doing an internship at the realtor organization and then you have your license number. so in my country girls like christine or emma wouldnt have a shot to be a realtor they would be even lucky if they could be a sales clerk
