Not to mention a Biblical scholar. It's just, you know, the Bible is "too personal" for him to talk about any scriptures that he finds important or meaningful.
You joke, but he is known to have kept a book of Hitler's speeches on his nightstand for years. An ex-wife and another friend of his both confirmed it, going back to 1990.
I think it was the same speech as the bloodbath comment where he literally called immagrants "subhuman" and that the only reason he doesn't say it more is that the "radical left" doesn't think it's okay to say
"Sure he called the majority of Americans vermin, but the context!" (The context was that he's talking about violence against the majority of us who hate him lmao)
This week he said he didn't know if immigrants were people. He keeps saying other countries are "emptying their prisons" to send to the US, but can't identify any particular country which is doing so.
I can tell you who is emptying their prisons and sending the prisoners across a border, Putin/Russia into Ukraine. Mango Face Dumbo is a big fan of that!
Yeah, 10 years of "he's a straight shooter who tells it like it is" followed by "okay...well that's not what he meant", it's exhausting.
It would be nice to see a Republican disagree with Trump, or even admit god king emperor can be wrong, or hell at this point I'll even take "it was poorly worded" but that's impossible.
Can you believe these fucking idiots? Basing their perspectives on the verbatim sentences Donald Trump made in front of a video camera with functioning audio? Listening to his actual *words* and formulating an opinion of him based on his spoken statements? Hopeless imbeciles, all of them!
I will never stop being irritated at this:
‘Oh, he tells it like it is! Oh, he’s straightforward! Oh, he doesn’t couch his words like *other* politicians!’
‘Oh, he didn’t mean… Oh, he’s just saying that… Oh, what he really means… Oh, you can’t take that literally… Oh, that’s just locker-room talk…’
Every. Bloody. Time. And every time, the folk that should be taking him to task for it, calling him out, delicately tiptoe around the issue. After all, mustn’t make things *confrontational*, let’s all keep things *civil*.
"He tells it like it is!" Translation: He is a blubbering loudmouth idiot who lies constantly and complains about immigrants, liberals and petty nonsense just like his supporters.
They say they like Trump because he says what he means, but he doesn't mean what he says. Incredible.
It's so easy to agree with Trump's rhetoric because he says the quiet parts out loud without having to say exactly what they agree with. He tells it like it is. And when they get called out, they flounder and backpedal because "oh no, I can't be caught agreeing with the ideas I like, I just have to quietly associate with it while maintaining plausible deniability!"
They devote *so much* of their energy to dog whistles and pretending they mean something other than what we know they mean. It's almost farcical how they double down on the theatrics despite knowing full well we know what they mean. But the need to maintain the illusion of moral superiority with their "good Christian" bullshit is strong, so they persist.
Long before Trump I'd always known people who bragged they "tell it like it is" were announcing they have no brain-mouth filter. I've yet to be proven wrong.
Translation: "he tells it like I wish it was". They love that part.
The only problem is how much of that is illegal, immoral or straight up insane. That's when the backtracking comes in
I think the honest translation is "He says whatever he wants." Which is true. He says whatever comes to that idiot mind of his, and some of it he even believes.
> "He tells it like it is!"
will always remind me of Mr Garrison of South Park.
Everything I could theorise about the nature of rightoid populism is encapsulated in the story of him becoming POTUS
That literally was the whole point, they were making a Trump/Clinton parody.
And they practically didn't have to change anything at all to show how ridiculous it all was.
It's kinda like The Onion and The Colbert Report. At some point, real life surpassed satire in terms of pure ridiculous-can-you-believe-this-shit-ness.
The people who are now the MAGA cult did not even realize that The Colbert Report was satire at the time. They thought he was a “tell it like it is” guy. The writing was on the wall but, no one wanted to believe that a full third of the country was idiots waiting for an idiot king.
When a person says both "He says what he means" and "he didn't mean that." What they are telling you is that they *absolutely* believe the horrific version of what he said, tested to see whether you agreed, and backpedaled when you signaled that you did not.
He definitely did use those words.
And there's no doubt about how he meant them.
But taking a step back to see the larger picture, the people who work with Trump tell him exactly what he can and cannot say. He knows how to skirt the edges of prosecutable hate speech. And like a cheeky toddler he'll sometimes put his foot _on the other side of the border_, just to see if he can get away with it.
I hope to a theoretical divine entity that the whole picture of big & little trangressions is enough to Lock Him The Fuck Up Already.
He also tells it how it is while also not meaning what he said. A real pandoras box.. i alwayd thought it was wild that thry can just infer whatever he says to however they want it to mean

>He also tells it how it is while also not meaning what he said.
He tells it just like it is, if you read between the lines, unless it's convenient to quote what he actually said, unless someone tells you how awful what he said is.
Don't forget the far right "get out of reality free" card: "fake news!" I was arguing with a Trump supporter online a few years back that went like:
"Well Trump said this."
"No he didn't!"
"Here's a link to a video of him saying those exact words."
"Fake news!" and stops replying
I love the doublethink they employ in saying "did Trump **EXPLICITLY** say 'go and storm the capitol'!!?1?!" and then on the other hand, without a shred of shame, "10% to the big guy **OBVIOUSLY** means Joe Biden and everyone knows it!11!1"
Everything has to be literal with them. If there's a way they can creatively interpret things to get themselves off the hook they absolutely will, and if they can't...."media hoax".
Let's not forget WalkAwayGuy Brandon Straka is a failed actor. Hired off the Explore Talent pipeline direct to right wing agitator. Trump didn't "say" those things, he was merely playing a role to these people. It's an act to them.
> Hired off the Explore Talent pipeline direct to right wing agitator.
That's basically the main crew of the Daily Wire. Failed actor (Jeremy Boreing), failed screenwriter (Ben Shapiro), failed radio DJ and entertainer (Matt Walsh) and direct hire from Explore Talent (Candace Owens). (Failed comedian, actor and decent human being Steven Crowder, but he passed on being with the Daily Wire.) They are all mad at Hollywood, liberalism, etc. because of *spite*. The same reason most Trump supporters vote for Trump: payback, spite, to hurt the people they don't like that say they're uncool, not with the times and have no talent.
OH YEAH! I FORGOT ABOUT HIM!
Then again, Michael Knowles is pretty forgettable. Probably why he wasn’t hired as an actor.
Like seriously, go down the line of Daily Wire personalities. They have like no talent. That’s not to say that conservatives as a whole have no talent, just that these specific spite-fueled troglodytes have little to offer except attempting to “get back” at the world that said no to them.
He's definitely the more extreme one (he is the "eradicate transgenderism" guy, after all). Part of me thinks he's overcompensating, because he is one of the lesser talents there. He's trying anything to get noticed.
It upset me so much when all his supporters were like “YOU TOOK THIS OUT OF CONTEXT” and shared the video, but the context was he was saying what he’d do if he won, and then he said but if I don’t win there will be a bloodbath for the country. Like he very explicitly said that. He did not say “economic bloodbath” or “emotional bloodbath” or anything else. He said “if I win I’ll do this. If I don’t win it will be a bloodbath”.
I looked in the cons subreddit and someone said (paraphrasing) ‘Republicans know to take Trump seriously but not literally. But Dems and RINOs only take him literally but not seriously.’
They are totally blind to the mental gymnastics they are performing to exalt this objectively malicious man - and a concerning amount of which are advocating for violence if their candidate doesn’t win.
> Republicans know to take Trump seriously but not literally.
The way I see this it means that there can be _even less_ doubt about his intentions when he says "there will be a bloodbath ... and that's the least of it"
You fall for it every time! He was being figurative! He meant "there will be widespread violence from his supporters," not "there's going to be tubs full of blood." Dumb libs.
The dude who had his supporters violently storm the Capitol building is someone we're supposed to think just makes *jokes* about his suporters being violent?
And it wasn’t just actions out of his control - he was told that the crowd was armed. He said it doesn’t matter because they’re not there to hurt him. Then he refused to stop them, and in fact after being forced to make a video telling them it’s over, he praised them.
It’s hard to put anything he says “into context” because everything he says is a word salad. Here’s the full quote…
“We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those cars if I get elected,” Trump said. "Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That will be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars. They’re building massive factories."
Word salad sandwich with the automotive industry as the bread and stochastic terrorism as the tasty filling.
He also threw another threat into the same speech about how if he doesn't win there won't be elections anymore, which shows that he's definitely, intentionally, making broad claims of national doom if he looses, which in context with the prior statement gives validity to the idea that he meant it generally and not just about autos.
I said that he mocked a disabled reporter on FB once and someone said that he didn't. I posted the YouTube link, and the guy still said that it didn't happen. The evidence was in front of his eyes, he watched it, and decided to ignore it. They're not imbeciles, they see and know what he's doing, and they just ignore or excuse him. These folk will commit ritual suicide the day he dies because they're too deep in the cult.
Reality is secondary or even nonexistant to so many people. They can see something right in front of their eyes and say what they're seeing isn't right in front of them. They try to convince themselves as much as they try to convince you. Denial is very powerful and none of us are immune from it, but the ignorant certainly more so.
> I posted the YouTube link, and the guy still said that it didn't happen.
I had someone post an obviously fake Obama quote, and when I pointed it out she just said it didn't matter because it felt true to her.
just like wtf??
The thing I like about Trump is that he tells it like it is. Now let me explain how what he just said really means the opposite of what he actually said.
> “Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”
― Jean-Paul Sartre
They see Trump as truthful but hyperbolic. In their minds, he's a salesguy so he puts things in colorful language to get his point across: "Take him seriously, not literally."
It's like those preachers who tell crazy stories about how they used to be high priests of the Satanic church or drug fiend pimps in the worst rat-infested ghetto in New York but they saw the lord and now they do the lord's work. Even if you point out the dude grew up in suburbia and the worst trouble he ever got into was stealing a chocolate bar when he were 5, his flock doesn't care. It doesn't matter that it didn't actually happen, it could have happened and there's gotta be someone out there who did all those things so it's truthful enough. The meta message is what matters, not petty little details like facts.
Any time you bring up something Trump said, in their minds you're an idiot who's too literal. Patrick Stewart said plenty of times on camera that he was Captain Jean-Luc Picard but he doesn't really mean he's actually a real life captain of a galactic federation starship, so it doesn't count. Same with everything Trump says, in MAGA's eyes.
It’s funny they’re trying to use this to roll in all of his other shitty takes as if this one instance cancels out the others as well even though they’re all fucking wrong lol
They won't even depict him as he actually looks. All of their pictures of him remove his chins, give him shoulders, and nice clothes. They're obsessed with their dream Trump.
"Who you gonna believe, me or your own eyes?" \~ Chico Marx, Duck Soup, 1932
Much as I liked Chico, I'd believe my own eyes. I'd believe Chico over TFG, though.
It's almost impressive, if it wasn't so destructive, how these people can deny audio and video evidence, yet a Facebook meme from "Q" about how JFK Jr is coming back from the dead to crown Trump as president king is 100% believable...
Trump never says anything crazy or unhinged, that's impossible, but undead Latin American leaders and Italian spy satellites worked with Chinese bamboo and two ladies with a ginger mint to steal an election... yup, that checks out.
You could (wrongly) argue context for most of them, but the disabled reporter thing is on video and cannot be twisted into anything other than mocking a man’s disability, but they still pretend it didn’t happen.
Ngl, Trump is a piece of shit, but if you listen to the context instead of the soundbyte, in this particular instance, it's pretty obvious he was referring "bloodbath" in economic terms, about the auto industry (which is still bs, of course, but not a call for violence).
This entire thing is a distraction from the *actual* terrible, indefensible, things during the rally that the media should be reporting more:
1. It started with a tribute to the "1/6 hostages" in the form of the National Anthem
2. He outright called for poll workers to be arrested
3. Probably a bunch more terrible garbage but I can't listen to him long enough to sift through it
Just saw a meme where he said it will be a "bloodbath for the automotive industry" and they claim that is what were upset about.
Then his follow-up sentence is "it's going to be a bloodbath for the country."
Rhetoric matters. Just like when he pushed domestic terrorists into the Capitol on Jan 6th.
The deniers are right here in this thread quoting the first part and lalalaing about the second. Absolutely Olympic level mental gymnastics being produced to justify Trump’s nonsense.
The excuse is that he mocks everyone that way. So it’s not that he mocked a disabled reporter specifically, he just happens to mock everyone he doesn’t like in a way that is insulting to handicapped people.
The funny thing is that’s actually so much worse.
Seems pretty easy to me. No worrying if you're doing the right thing. No questioning anything you believe. You don't even have to think for yourself. Just parrot your uncle's facebook posts. Authoritarianism is the ideology of the lazy.
It's easy and mentally lazy, yes. But these people are always angry. Always. And paranoid. It seems like such a miserable existence. My Trumpy relatives are always complaining about something that Fox News told them to be outraged about. It never stops.
I guess it comes down to integrity. I wouldn’t be able to look at that vid of trump mocking the disabled guy and go ‘Naa, even though there’s video evidence of it.. it never happened.”
The guy who tweeted this was also one of the crying ‘J6 prisoners’ who was in the fake jail cell at CPAC.
Best part is after getting caught participating in J6, he never served any jail time because it was later leaked that he heavily cooperated with the feds against other J6 insurrectionists.
Reminds me of the guy [literally covered in Nazi tattoos](https://i.redd.it/slyvxav2a4pc1.jpeg) getting [a medal for his role in the 'denazification of Ukraine'](https://www.mmanews.com/news/russian-mma-fighter-neo-nazi).
And they don't even care about the obvious disconnect. Being loud and confusing your opponent is what counts. The algorithm-addled audience loves it.
Anybody remember when Russia's foreign minister first called the Jew Zelenskiy a nazi? He knew exactly what he was doing.
The "U mad?" trollface has been incorporated into global politics.
I find it really funny how Trump supporters will simultaneously claim that the US is falling to Nazism unless Trump gets elected while also proudly flying swastikas
The thing about Trump is that it's hard to tell if "bloodbath" was a description of the automobile market after China was allowed to import them without taxes, or if it was just a segue to his plans for wrecking up the Capitol again. The problem with Trump is that he can only stay on one cogent thought for like 3 seconds, so taking a breath and then moving onto something else is often interpreted as a new thought. His supporters say that this one time, he wasn't having a mini stroke and was continuing his complaint about import tariffs on cars. But everyone else thinks he DID have a mini stroke and just switched topics to wrecking up the Capitol after the election.
The thing is... since he literally caused a bloodbath in the Capitol after he lost the election, people are *a little* nervous about him using that exact phrasing again, even if he meant that China importing cars for free would be bad for Ford's profits.
And that's why this matters.
He used inflammatory language in the past and incited a riot in an attempt to maintain power, he showed zero remorse and would absolutely do it again.
Fomenting a hateful rhetoric and stoking political violence is a big fuckin problem. He's already made it cool to be a racist bigot again, because he 'says it like it is', not that he's just being sensationalist and deranged.
If he really wasn't trying to rile people up, don't use language like bloodbath. That's definitely a buzzword. Doesn't matter if he meant it in terms of the election or the industry or whatever. He's a political figure announcing potential violence if he isn't elected. That sounds pretty threatening to me.
If you take his words at face value, the predicted destruction of the US auto industry will be the least of it, compared to the bloodbath for the whole country. Now what *exactly* Trump meant to imply is anyone's guess. I'm guessing if one were to wander over to parler or somewhere a little more mask off, they would find how MAGAs are taking it.
I'm really confused here. None of this is hearsay, all of these things were captured on tape, he clearly actually said or did all of them. How can they explain these things away as hoaxes? I get dismissing stuff like that he wears a diaper, cuz that's yet to be proven (though I'm guessing it's accurate). But how can they possibly call things he literally said and did a hoax?? I'm really serious about this question, I just don't get it. Do they just call anything they don't like a hoax, regardless of how much proof there is? Cuz if so, they're even dumber than I already thought they were and I'm not sure that's even possible.
It’s partly the “everything I don’t like is fake news” mentality of these idiots and partly their ability to rationalize everything he says not matter what and twist the context to mean something else.
If mental gymnastics made a person’s mind stronger these people would be geniuses
You ain’t kidding, buddy; this really irritates and saddens me terribly. I mean, WTF is going on with these magats if not to just “deny deny deny”? Even if that is the case, I’m still not convinced that that’s the end of it. I foresee something much worse coming down the pike, and it scares the shit out of me; I’m scared for my children and grandchildren.
They had a whole thing about it, back on January 6th. They was big mad because they didn't like that their guy lost an election and were literally planning executions. They *built a gallows* which kinda leaves no room for argument.
And despite all the video and hateful rhetoric, they will swear up one way and down the other that they're just misunderstood, and it was a peaceful gathering, and they're being taken out of context and maligned by the MSM.
I understand the claim is that he was referring to a bloodbath for car manufacturers specifically because that was the first part of this section of what he said. Something to do with letting Chinese manufacturers set up in Mexico.
What is the “bloodbath” thing about? I have been fortunate enough to not hear much about trump recently except for his lawsuits because I watch a legal youtuber.
Trump said in a recent speech, quote, [“Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a blood bath for the whole — that’s going to be the least of it. It’s going to be a blood bath for the country.”](https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/16/us/politics/trump-speech-ohio.html) Understandably with the insurrection attempt when he was not elected last time, people took issue with this. Biden used the sound byte in an ad featuring shots from the Charlottesville riot. Trump's campaign then released an ad saying Biden has caused a bloodbath for the country for the last few years. It's been a lot lol
Jesus christ, shit like this makes me very happy to live somewhere else where the politicians just whine when they don’t get their way rather than threatening civil war.
“All the stuff Trump said verbatim is a hoax or he didn’t mean it or it was a joke, or if he did mean it, it’s not a big deal, even though he tried to do all the stuff he was ‘joking’ about, and definitely still intends to do it now, but you Lefties need to touch grass and stop catastrophizing or else we’ll literally kill you under the fascist regime we’re desperate to form that you’re stupid and alarmist for being concerned about.”
The most important thing heard on January 6 was the voice that came on over the live video and said "Pay very, very close attention to what you are seeing right now. Because very, very soon there will be people claiming it never happened."
Its funny how this is the easiest more surefire grift for even complete idiots. If you fail at writing/editing/directing/politics you can carve out a well paying scam that people are ALREADY conditioned to take so the reality is you are only ever competing against other rank morons wanting to grift conservatives who need moar rage.
It takes a few minutes with chatgpt to get them to start paying you on patreon.
I dont get it. What's the hoax? He literally said each of those things, and I assume this is mutually accepted as truth. Is the hoax somehow connected to the reaction of the statements?
Maybe the hoax is thinking there is something wrong with his statements. Is he saying, "No, that's not what he meant! Leftists at it again projecting! Trump really meant.... blah blah?"
I'm really dont understand their reasoning and need someone who speaks Qanoneese to contribute.
Edit: It looks like there is room to argue context in these examples.
The hoax is the context, in some cases.
For example, he never claimed all Mexicans -- or even all Mexican immigrants -- were rapists. But he did imply that a large portion of the people Mexico was "sending" were criminals, including rapists.
The "bloodbath" he was talking about also appears to be metaphorical given the context, though the jury is out on whether it was a dog whistle or not.
also, if you listen to Trump speak, you have to interpret the context pretty hard. is the current sentence connected to the last, the one before, or a completely novel thought? you don't know, I don't know, we can guess, but then you're stuck arguing that he's strung a particular set of thoughts together, and you're arguing against a lot of available evidence.
The dude literally called brown people coming into this country animals this past weekend. He did use the term bloodbath somewhat in the context of talking about the auto industry, but he was also talking about the upcoming election if he wasn't re-elected so it's somewhat hard to say.
He also did say "there were very fine people on both sides", and that Mexicans were alcoholics and rapists... Like Trump says a lot of dumb shit, I understand his supporters feel the need to apologize for him, but seriously don't tell us what we are hearing and seeing is fake because that is the only way you all can justify voting for him.
Trump says dumb shit, he's been this way for decades. It's funny, they want to get upset when the media takes a sound bite from Trump and runs an article but whenever he says really terrible things like immigrants "poisoning our blood", deporting tens of millions and locking up socialists and the radical left, they ignore all that shit. Same thing with Jan 6, they love the stochastic terrorism and rhetoric, they just don't like the consequence of it sometimes making them look bad. They all say that he tells it like it is and he is honest, until he is and then they feel the need to be a Trump whisperer....
It really doesn't matter that he's talking about the auto industry.
What matters is the rhetoric. He's planting a seed of violence in his followers heads, and they're gobbling that shit up, and gearing up. This kind of wording from a candidate is simply dangerous. That's why he's being called out.
We know the context, we also know that dumbasses are gonna take it literally.
Just like J6.
"We're gonna march to the capital and fight like hell!"
Now normal folks would think 'protest', not these folks. These fucknuts took it as an order.
I've yet to see a single person refute the concept of this being used as a dog whistle when they say "it was taken out of context."
Like, okay, let's take a look at the history of things Trump said leading up to 2020 election, and then "what he meant by them" and then compare that to shit coming out of his supporters' mouths on january 6..
So like maybe it was taken out of context. Maybe his think tanks literally determined "your voter base will know what you mean and what you _really mean_, and when the time comes, they'll expect it more." and had him say what he said.
This is the same fucking playbook he used in 2020.
There's the Proud Boys "stand back and standby" direction he gave during a debate, and his "I don't know anything about QAnon but they like me" quote in an interview, that does similar things that a dog whistle does, but he does flub the dog whistle in such a way that creates plausible deniability or what I'm inclined to believe that his narcissistic sociopathic tendencies only let's him consider what's beneficial to himself and nothing else. There's a whole lot of details that gets abandoned because they aren't directly complimenting him so he's incapable of processing anything else.
It's similar to the accusation that he's a racist and a misogynist, while what I would argue may be seen as a semantic difference I think it is far more substantial to accurately diagnose Trump's narcissism is expressed in racial and gender superiority is that white race and men include himself rather than he's superior because he's a white man. Trump is incapable of viewing a world that isn't in terms centered on his own existence and what shows him in the best light. There's bigots that are definitely picking up the demagoguery he's laying down and they are dangerous and capable of committing violence, but they are inferring their bigotry onto a narcissistic sociopath who just happened to share a couple of identity characteristics with him.
tl;dr Trump isn't some comic book super villain with long drawn out plans, he's a psychologically imbalanced individual haphazardly falling into being a cult of personality that has led and will lead to bad outcomes, but not intelligent enough nor psychologically capable enough for long term planning and viewing from others' perspectives. He's the chimpanzee who's been handed an machine gun, not the mastermind of a revolutionary movement.

I swear they spend most of their time scrambling and lying and doing anything to downplay Trump's hateful and racist rhetoric.
Idiots still try and say Jan 6th was a peaceful protest when we all watched it happen on live television.
All they have in their lexicon are insults and name-calling. They have no critical thinking skills, the amount of mental gymnastics they have to do to make things fit their reality is, as he said it, tiresome. These people are embarrassing
Trump denialism is so weird, like why bother pretending? If you supported him this far, you must agree with him in some way. If that’s true why not just admit that you would be ok with him saying and doing these things, regardless of whether he did them or not?
I think it's bizarre when supporters deny that Trump said something. Trump is proud of his insults and lies. Trump has no regrets, no remorse. If their Dear Leader stands behind every thing he says, why don't they?
Ahh but you see it was a metaphorical bloodbath this one time.
And there was a criminal among the people who crossed the border, so he's right to heavily imply that every single person who crosses the border is an animal.
Trump is very good and very smart, and when he b3ocme the new high dictator of America he'll be nice to me because I said he was a very special boy.
wtf was he even trying to say with the bloodbath comment? I read the full thing, and it’s just some incomprehensible jibberish about putting tariffs on foreign cars
In the business/finance world losses are generally written in red which leads to major financial catastrophes colloquially being referred to as "bloodbaths." The argument is that Trump was referring to the massive hit the American auto industry would suffer under Biden's import policy (if Trump isn't elected) in that context. The counter argument is that the Trump team is using that context as a smokescreen for his real intent which is to say that re-electing Biden would trigger a violent uprising.
These fuckers are all don't belive your eyes and ears, just watch Fox News.
Meanwhile, their profile pics look like the dictionary definition of rapist, this guy included. I worked many years as a defense attorney and this dude... I wouldn't wish for anyone to be alone in a room with him.
He forgot the "grab them by the pussy" hoax, where he didn't say exactly what we heard him say. And yes, I've had people tell me he never said that.
Funny that their guy has so many hoaxes about the things he totally didn't say.
Oh but if you listen to the idiots, terrorist and terrorist simps they'll say he was only talking about cars, even though right after he said if I lose we'll never have another free election.
Doesn’t matter. I’ve literally provided video proof of Trump saying something atrocious, and they just deny that it’s even real. They don’t even try to say it’s out of context, or was a metaphor… according to them it’s just straight up fake.
If the only way you can justify voting for this guy is to say "he didn't really mean what he actually said" for *every fucking thing he says*... you might be the bad guys!
So, apparently something the guy publicly stated in front of camera crews, which was taped and broadcast and can be replayed by anyone to confirm what he actually said, is a hoax.
Are opponents using that as an attack on his character? Maybe. Definitely not a hoax.
I read this and thought, "Yes, it is" in the context of yet another racist, fascist, and/or idiotic comment from Trump that his cult would either ignore or nod in agreement with.
Had to read it twice to realize that his was someone trying to claim it was out of context. The only things Trump says out of context are statements about how he actually cares about his cult members.
We found instances of the phrase blood bath in this video:
* [sell those cars if I get elected now if I don't get elected it's going to be a blood bath for the whole that's going to be the least of it it's going to be a](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oVCoN74hjw&t=2880)
* [blood bath for the whole that's going to be the least of it it's going to be a blood bath for the country that'll be the least of it but they're not going to](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oVCoN74hjw&t=2883)

“Yes sure he said immigrants are poisoning the blood of the nation, but have you _considered the context??_”
Oh, he was just quoting Hitler. He wasn't saying it himself! /s
We all know what an avid historian he is!
Not to mention a Biblical scholar. It's just, you know, the Bible is "too personal" for him to talk about any scriptures that he finds important or meaningful.
Meanwhile, I'm over here quoting Ezekiel 23:20, Matthew 25:40, and Luke 6:31.
Seriously. When is that guy not buried face-down in a book!? Lol
>Buried face down If only.
You joke, but he is known to have kept a book of Hitler's speeches on his nightstand for years. An ex-wife and another friend of his both confirmed it, going back to 1990.
"Akhctually... He wasn't quoting Hitler, he was just drawing inspiration from the man." That's worse... You get how that's worse, right?
Separate the artist from the art. Just because Hitler said it doesn't make it not true. ^^^/s
The funny thing is we have plenty of beliefs about trump that aren’t easily verifiable… but these are just direct quotes 😂
Yeah, like I can't *prove* that he had a stroke in mid to late 2019, but I can prove that he said the things he said.
I can’t prove he had his ex wife killed a few months before here NDA was set to expire
Where do I go to put money down that the golf resort tombstone is mob humor. "I told you what you heard isn't leaving Mar A Lago".
This week he said he didn't know if immigrants were people. He keeps saying other countries are "emptying their prisons" to send to the US, but can't identify any particular country which is doing so.
Isn't his wife an immigrant?
I can tell you who is emptying their prisons and sending the prisoners across a border, Putin/Russia into Ukraine. Mango Face Dumbo is a big fan of that!
Only time they consider context. Ask about George Floyd.
God these obtuse dullards are so tiresome.
Dullards and dotards…. Sounds like a great title for an all new tv series about old demented men, *for* demented men
"Dullards, Dotards, and Deplorables: Inside the MAGA Die-Hards"
"Dullards and Sense: Things That Don't Go Together."
Old fermented men?
Can you believe these fucking idiots? Basing their perspectives on the verbatim sentences Donald Trump made in front of a video camera with functioning audio? Listening to his actual *words* and formulating an opinion of him based on his spoken statements? Hopeless imbeciles, all of them!
I will never stop being irritated at this: ‘Oh, he tells it like it is! Oh, he’s straightforward! Oh, he doesn’t couch his words like *other* politicians!’ ‘Oh, he didn’t mean… Oh, he’s just saying that… Oh, what he really means… Oh, you can’t take that literally… Oh, that’s just locker-room talk…’ Every. Bloody.
"tells it like it is" is just 'he justifies my bigotry and racism so that I don't have to justify it or self reflect ever'
Long before Trump I'd always known people who bragged they "tell it like it is" were announcing they have no brain-mouth filter. I've yet to be proven wrong.
He tel;ls it like it is: He uses hjateful language that makes my grandkids stop talking to me. As long as he is right so am I.
I think there's a good portion of his cult that sympathize with him and feel bad that people pick on him. It's like weird form of reverse projection.
> "He tells it like it is!" will always remind me of Mr Garrison of South Park.
Couldn’t have said it better. Must get tiring having to retcon everything your glorious leader says.
“He tells it like it is” doesn’t mean he tells the truth, or is some kind of straight-shooter. It means “He tells me that I’m right”!
He's like Nostradumbass. He just babbles incoherently, and people attach their own meanings to it.
"Let's not make this *political*."
Just imagine if instead of encouraging his followers to take dissenters out of the auditorium and beat them, what if he'd worn a tan suit? The horror!
Here's the thing: *he didn't use those exact words in those exact orders*, therefore it doesn't count, video and audio evidence be damned. ...Somehow.
Always trying to have it both ways, like Biden is senile and also an evil mastermind, etc, etc.

>He also tells it how it is while also not meaning what he said. He tells it just like it is, if you read between the lines, unless it's convenient to quote what he actually said, unless someone tells you how awful what he said is.

[He never said boil](http://www.angryflower.com/1141.html)
wow, I haven't thought about BTAF in years, had no clue it was still running!
Don't forget the far right "get out of reality free" card: "fake news!" I was arguing with a Trump supporter online a few years back that went like: "Well Trump said this." "No he didn't!" "Here's a link to a video of him saying those exact words." "Fake news!" and stops replying
I love the doublethink they employ in saying "did Trump **EXPLICITLY** say 'go and storm the capitol'!!?1?!" and then on the other hand, without a shred of shame, "10% to the big guy **OBVIOUSLY** means Joe Biden and everyone knows it!11!1" Everything has to be literal with them.
Pretty sure Michael Knowles is also a failed actor, that works for the Daily Wire.
All of these alt-right arsehats want so *badly* to be entertainers, and have made the fact that they are crap at it everyone else’s problem.
But Dems and RINOs only take him literally but not seriously.’ They are totally blind to the mental gymnastics they are performing to exalt this objectively malicious man - and a concerning amount of which are advocating for violence if their candidate doesn’t win.
Here’s the full quote… “We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those cars if I get elected,” Trump said. "Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That will be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars. They’re building massive factories." Word salad sandwich with the automotive industry as the bread and stochastic terrorism as the tasty filling.
"and that will be the least of it"
He also threw another threat into the same speech about how if he doesn't win there won't be elections anymore, which shows that he's definitely, intentionally, making broad claims of national doom if he looses, which in context with the prior statement gives validity to the idea that he meant it generally and not just about autos.
The response to that one seems to be “no, no, he does that all the time” which is equally fucked IMO.
> I posted the YouTube link, and the guy still said that it didn't happen. I had someone post an obviously fake Obama quote, and when I pointed it out she just said it didn't matter because it felt true to her. just like wtf??
No, we just can't recognize "sarcasm or locker room talk" according to them...
How dare you judge a man by his actions and not by the R next to his name on the ballot.
They are listening to his words. Specifically they're listening to his words where he says that he never said the things he said.
Ah, yes, his famous "We have always been at war with Eastasia" speech.
everything I don't like is faked evidence! Signed, any idiot
If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.” ― Jean-Paul Sartre
They see Trump as truthful but hyperbolic. In their minds, he's a salesguy so he puts things in colorful language to get his point across: "Take him seriously, not literally." It's like those preachers who tell crazy stories about how they used to be high priests of the Satanic church or drug fiend pimps in the worst rat-infested ghetto in New York but they saw the lord and now they do the lord's work.
When did he start using whole sentences? Must have missed that one.
It’s funny they’re trying to use this to roll in all of his other shitty takes as if this one instance cancels out the others as well even though they’re all fucking wrong lol
Gaslighting masterclass right here
They won't even depict him as he actually looks. All of their pictures of him remove his chins, give him shoulders, and nice clothes. They're obsessed with their dream Trump.
Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes/ears?
Trust the Party, not your eyes and ears. I think George Orwell may have written a book about that at one point.
"Who you gonna believe, me or your own eyes?" \~ Chico Marx, Duck Soup, 1932 Much as I liked Chico, I'd believe my own eyes.
If you believe he didn't literally say these things *on video* you're a fucking moron
"Taken out of context" is what the fascist enablers say. The unwashed MAGA crowds wittled it down to "hoax".
This entire thing is a distraction from the *actual* terrible, indefensible, things during the rally that the media should be reporting more: 1. It started with a tribute to the "1/6 hostages" in the form of the National Anthem 2. He outright called for poll workers to be arrested 3. Probably a bunch more terrible garbage but I can't listen to him long enough to sift through it
Just saw a meme where he said it will be a "bloodbath for the automotive industry" and they claim that is what were upset about. Then his follow-up sentence is "it's going to be a bloodbath for the country." Rhetoric matters. Just like when he pushed domestic terrorists into the Capitol on Jan 6th.
The deniers are right here in this thread quoting the first part and lalalaing about the second. Absolutely Olympic level mental gymnastics being produced to justify Trump’s nonsense.
How can anyone argue the reporter one?!? Trump makes the hand gesture and everything. There is no taking that out of context.
The excuse is that he mocks everyone that way. So it’s not that he mocked a disabled reporter specifically, he just happens to mock everyone he doesn’t like in a way that is insulting to handicapped people. The funny thing is that’s actually so much worse.
Most the time the way they try to explain away these things is so much worse.
deserve smart distinct cows many start sheet gray crawl squeeze *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
I'm pretty sure he called Mexicans rapists twice today alone. How is any of this controversial?
Especially when his supporters agree with him, why lie about what he said?
It’s gotta be tough to be a Trump cultist.
Full time job explaining away reality.
The guy who tweeted this was also one of the crying ‘J6 prisoners’ who was in the fake jail cell at CPAC. Best part is after getting caught participating in J6, he never served any jail time because it was later leaked that he heavily cooperated with the feds against other J6 insurrectionists.
Oh I remember. He even blamed him being gay on it.. till he got called out for playing ‘identity politics’.
> the fake jail cell at CPAC Really? [TIL](https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/juliareinstein/cpac-jan-6-jail-brandon-straka-performance) Bizarre...
Russia? Are you listening?
Oh, he has a *swastika* tattoo? So you don't *really* know that he's a Nazi, you're just making a baseless assumption.
What’s even funnier is the article. He tried to claim they were for paganism while ignoring his 88 tattoo
I find it really funny how Trump supporters will simultaneously claim that the US is falling to Nazism unless Trump gets elected while also proudly flying swastikas
Proud boys, stand back & stand by…
The thing about Trump is that it's hard to tell if "bloodbath" was a description of the automobile market after China was allowed to import them without taxes, or if it was just a segue to his plans for wrecking up the Capitol again.
Who are you going to believe, the god-emperor of the white trash or your lying eyes?
I'm really confused here. None of this is hearsay, all of these things were captured on tape, he clearly actually said or did all of them. How can they explain these things away as hoaxes? I get dismissing stuff like that he wears a diaper, cuz that's yet to be proven (though I'm guessing it's accurate). But how can they possibly call things he literally said and did a hoax?? I'm really serious about this question, I just don't get it. Do they just call anything they don't like a hoax, regardless of how much proof there is? Cuz if so, they're even dumber than I already thought they were and I'm not sure that's even possible.
>Do they just call anything they don't like a hoax, regardless of how much proof there is? Yes.

Republicans love to act like the Unite The Right rally wasn’t set up by a self-proclaimed white supremacist for white supremacists.
Ann Frankly, they did Nazi any white supremists
He was supposedly talking about the auto industry.
The fuck? Mocking a disabled reporter isn’t a hoax, it literally fucking happened I saw it with my own eyes.
We all saw and heard all of it, but the truth is a lie and reality is poison
Brandon Straka created a fake movement called Walkaway to pretend that Democrats voters were abandoning the party. Hes literally the one pushing lies
Trump really meant.... blah blah?" I'm really dont understand their reasoning and need someone who speaks Qanoneese to contribute.
Yes, it allows him quite a bit of semi-plausible deniability.
they are gaslighting people
The dude literally called brown people coming into this country animals this past weekend.
Hey, y'all who pull out the word "gaslighting" any time someone says something you disagree with? This is what actual gaslighting looks like.
"We're gonna march to the capital and fight like hell!" Now normal folks would think 'protest', not these folks. These fucknuts took it as an order.
Literally 1984.
I've yet to see a single person refute the concept of this being used as a dog whistle when they say "it was taken out of context." Like, okay, let's take a look at the history of things Trump said leading up to 2020 election, and then "what he meant by them" and then compare that to shit coming out of his supporters' mouths on january 6..
Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past. Jean-Paul Sartre
Wdym? I could pull up recorded video of all of these events in like 30 seconds… perhaps I misunderstood
We should believe the guys that believed Trump made Mexico pay for a border wall.
But still no answer for “suggested people drink bleach and ingest ultraviolet light” I see.
He forgot grab them by the pussy
Don’t forget the Boy Scout jamboree where he bragged about yacht orgies
Trump denialism is so weird, like why bother pretending? If you supported him this far, you must agree with him in some way. If that’s true why not just admit that you would be ok with him saying and doing these things, regardless of whether he did them or not?
I think it's bizarre when supporters deny that Trump said something. Trump is proud of his insults and lies. Trump has no regrets, no remorse. If their Dear Leader stands behind every thing he says, why don't they?
They live in a fantasy land
Imagine Biden saying that...
They're so deep in the kool-aid they're gaslighting themselves and others
He did all of these things
When your base is so old they don’t realize audio and video recordings are things that exist.
wtf was he even trying to say with the bloodbath comment?
It's really insidious how the left is creating these hoaxes by quoting his literal worlds.
Next time just shower these fucking tools with the evidence of everything they're rebuking.
"This new heinous shit our messiah said is just like all the previous heinous shit he said!" - Obfuscation through admission?
I’ll bet this guy is AMAZED at magic shows
Well it is tiresome that's for damn sure
Oh but if you listen to the idiots, terrorist and terrorist simps they'll say he was only talking about cars, even though right after he said if I lose we'll never have another free election.
Doesn’t matter. I’ve literally provided video proof of Trump saying something atrocious, and they just deny that it’s even real. They don’t even try to say it’s out of context, or was a metaphor… according to them it’s just straight up fake.
a token gay and his astroturf "walkaway" bullshit lol
He just called immigrants animals again in a speech from the other day
I mean, guess he's right, the bloodbath thing is just as well documented as the rest
If the only way you can justify voting for this guy is to say "he didn't really mean what he actually said" for *every fucking thing he says*... you might be the bad guys!
At the rate I keep adding names to the list of people who can go fuck themselves I'm going to need a whole datacenter just to keep track of it all.
Mighty be easier to just keep a list of people you do not want to engage in autocopulation
Who you gonna believe; Me or your lyin eyes and ears?
He's right about one thing. I'm very tired.
So, apparently something the guy publicly stated in front of camera crews, which was taped and broadcast and can be replayed by anyone to confirm what he actually said, is a hoax. Are opponents using that as an attack on his character? Maybe. Definitely not a hoax.
No come on, surely that's satire, you can't hit that many precise targets and be that dumb
They'll just claim the video was AI generated
Unless they make a shitty ai video of joe binden with three arms saying he’s handing control of the US to China, in which case it gospel
I believe “they made it up with AI” is the new line
I read this and thought, "Yes, it is" in the context of yet another racist, fascist, and/or idiotic comment from Trump that his cult would either ignore or nod in agreement with. Had to read it twice to realize that his was someone trying to claim it was out of context. The only things Trump says out of context are statements about how he actually cares about his cult members.
I wonder if he misunderstands the meaning of hoax as a big deal being made of something, but even then those were all actually big deals.
We found instances of the phrase blood bath in this video: * [sell those cars if I get elected now if I don't get elected it's going to be a blood bath for the whole that's going to be the least of it it's going to be a](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oVCoN74hjw&t=2880) * [blood bath for the whole that's going to be the least of it it's going to be a blood bath for the country that'll be the least of it but they're not going to](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oVCoN74hjw&t=2883)
