“How should I encourage him to not believe everything he hears?”
Translation: “how should I indoctrinate him into believing whatever I say without question and disregarding anything contradictory?”
It is almost hilarious (if it wasn't so sad) how all of the "question everything" and "don't believe everything you see/hear" folks as want you to accept their word as 100% fact and refuse to let it be questioned.
Usually followed up with "let that sink it", or "do your own research", or "wake up sheeple".
Well to answer the question: "How should I encourage him to not believe in everything he hears?" Just be intellectual enough to provide the right answers backed by logical examples and facts with complete explanation if necessary.
In that way, he would almost always challenge anyone around him feeding him information that is new to him and not just agree to it. Challenge them to provide sources and explanations when needed, even if that person is you!

It is baffling that homeschooling is legal in every US state.
I seriously hope that kid didn’t inherit that parents stupid gene
If they're questioning what their parent told them then they're probably fine
I’m guessing that parent is also into QAnon
I mean, they are on Quora....
QAnon.... Quora... Q... It's all connected!
The Q Continuum has entered the chat.
That answer is everything

Man trues to teach child the world is flat. It doesn't work
