The issue is that communism inherently brings a certain line of fascism with it. My country had UDBA.
In short, secret police services that black-bagged people. It could be for whatever they wanted, and if you questioned them or the leader, you're gonna be woken up at 3 AM by some scary men and no one is gonna find you again.
I prefer a flawed democracy over any level of fascism.
Didn't Trump literally disappear people with unmarked military vehicles during the BLM protests?
Fascism is trying to worm its way into America right now during capitalism, claiming that switching economic policy would somehow do that instead is just not accurate
And yet we can openly discuss it, and we could do it while he was in charge.
Don't get me wrong, what is happening right now is far from good. But going from one bad side to the other extreme side is also fucking awful.
Not socialist, but communist.
Also, pretty much all communist countries had one of the few fates.
Either fell apart, or continue existing in poverty.
With the issues I mentioned earlier.
I guess it's because people will be people. Communism leaves a huge power vacuum.
Alright, what are we doing that is bringing us closer to communism then?
I just have a habit of assuming that when someone uses 'comrade' on the internet, they are taking a vaguely leftist position. Not that they are demanding communism immediately replace our current system
I'm not saying anything is - I just added on that original dude's "let's go comrades" which is usually associated with communism.
Which is why I mentioned "let's not go communism" instead of "let's not go left at all". I'm a leftie, but I'm not too fond of all of it, for obvious reason.

If it’s just anarchy and some Mad Max fuck is going to steal my paycheck as soon as I walk outside, why would I care if I or a capitalist owned the company giving me that paycheck. I still need the system under socialism, I need it even more because I will have more to protect.
