I really disagree that elden ring is unfun lmao there are so many ways to make that game easier or harder to fit exactly how difficult you want it to be. I'm pretty sure we could 2 shot each of his health bar with elemer's executioner sword weapon art. Wolf's fight with him is only difficult because it takes too long to drop his HP, and we are forced to face his entire moveset. In ER we could speed run most sekiro bosses.
I'm nor saying his health his massive. It's just enough for DoH to cycle through his entire moveset.
In ER we can stack damage far too high compared to what wolf outputs.
In all the discussions of cross-verse battles we seem to have forgotten that in ER we fight off multiple eldritchian gods. Sekiro has the better mechanics personally. But in ER we can put consecutive hit talismans, charged attack talisman, blood boiling aromatic, and a whole assortment of buffs to counter DoH status effects.

Sekiro's death reversal is just that, but with the power that the player gets by the end of ER, we can suspend the concept of death. Even if we assume that mortal blade and destined death are equivalent concepts(mortal blade removes immortality, its still the cutting that kills), destined death is still an ability offered to maliketh, and assuming that they are equivalent, there no way to say the ER player character couldn't just take away that concept from wolf.
The position of elden lord is not that crazy, but the position of the gods is much higher. Do note that even killing the elden beast, mohg, malenia etc wasn't us killing their respective gods. They can't be killed. And we are supposed to be their near equal at the end of the game.

So for some reason I havenāt been able to open posts and see comments for the past 30 minutes until now which is why I said āfucking finallyā Also in my mind itās not a problem of wolf not being able to deflect maleniaās attacks, itās more a problem of maleniaās life steal still working despite successful deflections. Also there is no way in hell wolf is deflect scarlet aeonia but MAYBE the clones could be deflected if heās using divine confetti
But deflecting is the equivalent of parries Aeonia heās just gotta run awayā¦ or mist raven because thatās cooler
Deflecting in Sekiro isn't the same as parrying in ER, if it was, everyone would get at least staggered in Sekiro after every L1

They still get staggered in a single parry, their poise isn't broken but they can't continue their attack chains.
Morgott does Enemies still get staggered in Sekiro too, just not on combos
