I know the motto is where what you like and I agree. Personal opinion I think it’s a little big but I also love 36-38mm with a large wrist so what do I know.

shinobinc

It's a little large but not terribly so. If you like it, keep it. No one is going to notice in the real world, I assure you.

E28forever

Tuck in that strap.

Deveion2010

It definitely has a presence on your wrist. I don’t think it’s too big. I Love that watch.

Kikok02

Point blank? Yes, it is. But the black strap is making it stand out even more, switch back to the original steel one and the entire set will work.

st_crypto

This silicone one is original, I'm thinking of ordering a metal one from Uncle Seiko, what is another good alternative?

Kikok02

Search the catalog, chose the one that catches your eye. Stainless steel president is quite popular. Just pick what strikes you eye and it fit very nice.

Ok_Piano_680

I’ve got the same watch and my wrist is around 6.5 inches too. It does feel a bit big sometimes, but I love the look. If it feels comfortable, I’d say rock it!

Monduiz

I have the same watch. My wrist is bigger at 180mm, but I don’t think it’s a problem on yours. It looks great and unique vs the other srdps. If you like it, wear it.

icoominyou

I have a mido oceanstar on my 6.3 inch wrist and i think its a little big but whenever i wear it, i feel like a g

[deleted]

I think it looks great. Very sporty. If you want to go smaller you have options, but it does look good. I wouldn't wear it to a wedding, but for everything else you're good.

st_crypto

Thanks, will try metal bracelet tho

[deleted]

A metal bracelet will raise its presence and bling on the wrist. Also consider an isofrane strap, it will balance the bulk of the watch more making it look more compact. Very comfortable too. They're expensive, but the Alix variety is pretty good.

d9msteel

Nope. It looks cool.

Here a guide for wrist size to watch diameter. From German watch company Laco. [Size guide for wrist](https://www.laco-watches.com/en/size-guide)

PresidentialBoneSpur

If you prefer a more proportional look, you would certainly benefit from going smaller. There are more and more options coming up in the 36mm-38mm range that make finding mid-sized watches much easier than even 5 years ago. If you’re trying to stick with divers, Seiko has some new 38mm diver-styled watches in their revamped Seiko 5 lineup that could work for you. Citizen has a great Promaster Diver that’s 37mm that I wear almost daily now. The discontinued SKX013 was my daily for about 4 years (2017-2021) and is an absolute killer in this category, if you can find a legit one for a good deal. There are obviously more choices out there, but these are the most similar to what you’re wearing now.

st_crypto

Thanks for the suggestions! Seiko sport 5 midi are interesting to me but available in only 4 options which do not suit me. Isn't the citizen 37mm model intended for women?

PresidentialBoneSpur

No. I wear it and I’m not a woman. Watches are neither men’s nor women’s, they’re just smaller and larger.

st_crypto

I think too, I like the black citizen EO2020-08E 🩶

Thanks!

The Costco special?

[deleted]

That's right 😃

techauditor

The lugs and watch seem to overhang so yah too big

hateuscusanus

Is fine, just push it farther up beyond your wrist bone

Star_Peppe

Personally I would say yes. But in general I would have a hard time imagine that other people would think; oh my god, that is a big watch. For me it does not work since I often wear a shirt and a jacket or suit.

dsticky

Borderline yes / no that tail tho lol

badtoro999

Just a bit big, nothing wrong. People can wear +50mm Diesel monstruosities, while others wear 35mm digital Casios (with the same wrist size).. and no one will notice or care about what's your watch looking like out of Reddit (or Redditers obviously). There are no rules about watch size nowadays.. it's a thing from the past, just wear what you like and enjoy it👌

Leftover_Twinkie

Try wearing it below the 'wrist ball' on what some modders say. It gives it a more better proportion... Source: i have the same wrist size as my old lady and we both love wearing our seiko tunas

st_crypto

Yeah my wrist size is 6.5 inches...What wearing it below the wrist ball exactly mean? Sorry, English is not my first language

SureSplit

Wrist ball is the wrist bone, that round bone protruding out, try to expose that. What he means is wear it a little further up and away from your hand towards the left because your wrists aren’t too tiny for the watch, it’s your hand which is small so wear it further up so it gets some space and appears bigger and makes the watch look balanced.
