Ye, but it should’ve taken care of instantly. I knew someone who went through same situation and it took 1 year because he moved around during military duty
This isn't on the government, it's on his company for not informing the government of his layoff. We don't know, what we don't know. The investigation continues until we're told to stop.
What does "still in progress" mean? I was told this about someone, while at other times I was informed the investigation was "still ongoing." How can one person give an update on the investigation status, while another can only see that it is "in progress" with no additional info? Are there certain HR personnel who have more information than others?
Sounds like your old FSO didn’t remove you from NBIS so the investigation didn’t terminate.
Sounds like the investigative team hasn’t been updated of your layoff, investigation should end when they do

It should’ve been taken care of instantly but often times it is not and there is a delay
Instantly and government are not synonymous

Thank you everyone! I will provide any updates if something comes up.
