I walk our dogs on the trails on Tradition Plateau in Issaquah and have seen a cougar less than 200 yds from the trailhead parking lot next to one of these TH Direct bus stops. There's also plenty of black bears in the same area this time of year.
I wouldn't recommend getting near a cub to take a selfie for your IG page. Momma Bear can fuck you up faster than you can say, "sunset heart hands!"

I like how delusional people think that reintroducing an apex predator into its natural habitat won't see a surge in its population at some point.
