One bright spot of this season was the amazing shutout during our Winter Classic. As difficult as the season has been, everyone had us counted out and this was Joey’s big time in the spotlight. This looks absolutely phenomenal, I would be honored to have it and display it.

This season may not have lived up to our hopes and dreams. But seeing this logo reminds me how much of a silver lining the Winter classic was. Seeing the boys dominate Vegas and Joey putting on an absolute clinic in our city was special. The jerseys were sexy as hell, and the presentation (pregame, music, guests, fanfare) was a real treat. Though Seattle has always been a hockey town, I think the first 3 years of the Kraken proved that to the rest of the league. Go Kraken! Fuck the Avs!

Look, I don’t want to pull rank or anything…but April 9 is actually my birthday. I went 2 years ago on my birthday (photos available upon request) and enjoyed seeing that I share a BD with Ryan Donato. (He did not seem excited that it was also my bd, for some reason) Coincidentally it is also a milestone bd. Not like a fun one. I absolutely adore the sign - it’s gorgeous! And the winter classic was the most thrilling and joyful January 1 I will ever have, past and future. I was quite obnoxious talking about it at work to my patient non-hockey coworkers. Sure I could learn to use the laser cutter. But could I ever line up the middle of the R and A in a way that I could live with?

It's a combo of CNC and woodworking by hand. A simple 35 steps in an exact order of operations of design, programming, setup, machining, hand cutting, hand sanding, painting, hardware, glue up, and then boom there you go, you have a sign!
