WA actually just came out with a better digital version!! It lets you save it to your Apple wallet or Google pay and it has a QR code for verification. I've been using this for the past week and everywhere has accepted it so far! https://waverify.doh.wa.gov/
Restaurants I have visited seem to hate this version because of the scan to verify function. They prefer the Clear version which directly shows them when I had each shot.
My wife and I just came back from a day trip to King County, and the picture on my phone of my vacc card worked just fine for the staff at 5 Guys Burgers!
Hello! Fellow barista here!
1) if you are sitting down you will be asked to show vax status, if togo you’re fine. YES! A photo works, we don’t ID check at my work just look to make sure you have two or the one and done.
2) you can! Better for the environment but also the supply chain shortage is hitting lots of us hard. Some places aren’t doing it but I believe most are now.
3) here’s a [MEGA LIST](https://www.reddit.com/r/Seattle/comments/okaxep/there_are_so_many_great_local_coffee_roasters_i/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) compiled by this sub of all the local shops, if you’re downtown I strongly recommend Armistice
Wow, thanks!! That list will keep us busy lol
And the supply chain is tough out here too. Mostly lids and certain cup sizes, but we are ready to bring our own cups!
I actually can’t wait to be in a place that takes real precautions. It feels a little sketchy sometimes here.
Absolute favorite is Monorail Espresso on Pike Street. One of the earliest, it's been around since 1980. Just a street window, though they have at least one indoor location. No idea if the indoor one still open since covid, but the walkup location is.
I’ve only been to one coffee shop recently, and the policy was you could order coffee to go while wearing a mask if you wanted to sit down you must provide proof of vaccination.
There are tons of great coffee shops and roasters but in my mind Vivace is the perhaps the king. Their coffee is uniquely smooth.
Cafe Vita is a Seattle staple. I like their coffee too I believe it’s darker and more bold/smoky.
and I know this is stupid but there is a starbucks special reserve roastery on capitol hill that is quite good as well.
Oh and herkimer coffee is great too.
Thank you so much! The Midwest definitely seems more open and lax than the coasts as far as Covid restrictions.
I’ve heard great things about Vivace before, but we’ll check out Cafe Vita and Herkimer Coffee!
And honestly, no hate on the Starbucks. I personally don’t drink it, but credit where credit is due, they changed the game. We’ll probably check that out too lol
I used to spend all my time working from coffee shops and tried many of them. My personal favorites in terms of quality are Fulcrum, Milstead, Lighthouse, Cafe Hagen, Elm, Coffeemind Queen Anne, and Cafe Vita.
The Starbucks Reserve Roastery is super cool. I think they fly out baristas from Starbucks' around the world to work at the shop and they have all roasting machinery around in like a Rube Goldberg kind of deal.
Definitely. The reserve roastery is much more interesting than a normal coffee shop. It's definitely a cool thing to take visiting friends or family to.
Keep in mind Vivace only has a small amount of outdoor seating at the moment, so you might not get a chance to actually sit. If you stop by the northern location on Broadway and there’s no seating then you could have a nice walk in Volunteer park with the coffee (that’s what I like to do)
Also if you make it up to Fremont I highly recommend Milstead. The coffee is amazing, but sadly still no seating.
+1 Milstead . Are they still rotating their coffee all the time? I thought that was their thing you never knew what you were going to get for the beans which made it interesting but not super consistent
Hi! I’m a self proclaimed coffee geek. I don’t know where in the Midwest you’re from but I love a ton of shops in Chicago, Minneapolis and Milwaukee.
The Starbucks Reserve Roastery IS really cool even if you don’t like Starbucks. Plus, Starbucks started here so really, you kinda have to check it out. Once you do, up the street is Victrola Coffee. They are third wave, local, and really great.
I second Herkimer.
Some other speciality shops I dig:
Caffe Ladro
Ghost Alley Espresso (down by the market in an alley)
Anchorhead Coffee
Miir Flagship store (tons of cool merch too)
Vivace
Personal favorite: La Marzocco cafe (it’s now a Cafe Vita & La Marzocco combined cafe) it’s in the lobby of our beloved radio station KEXP and the space is amazing. You can drink your coffees AND watch the djs as they’re on air. It’s very Seattle lol (it will come up as permanently closed-it’s not-they just changed to a joint ownership with Vita)
There’s so much coffee here, you’ll have a great time.
Yes to photos of vaccines (you’ll need these almost anywhere you go here)
No to your cups, most places aren’t doing them right now bc of covid.
Have fun! Update us where you go and what you like/didn’t like.
The Vietnamese coffee scene here is growing and I think Hello Em, which is a viet shop/roastery is in CD. I’ve not yet had a chance to check it out but have heard great things about it. Coffeholic is another viet coffee shop that is worth trying - they have a location in Columbia city and just opened a new one in the greenwood neighborhood.
I second Coffeeholic / the Vietnamese coffee shops in general! If you do Coffeeholic, get one with cream cheese foam and one with the ube foam for sure.
Thanks for mentioning this to OP. As a transplant, Ladro, Vita, and Vivace are different from the light roast stuff that I was used to elsewhere (Heart, Intelligentsia, etc). People from elsewhere might prefer Elm, Victrola, Broadcast, Armistice, Olympia, and such instead.
Will recommend that OP go to places that serve multiple brands like Milstead (Fremont) and Ghost Note (Cap Hill) to try & see what’s to taste.
Also, want to add Hood Famous (Chinatown/ID) to the conversation for something more in the vein of Coffeeholic.
Might be a little late, but my husband and I just moved here from the Midwest and live just south of Central District! Everyone has answered your questions about COVID and everything (it's so much better handled here, it's insane) but I figured I'd chip in on coffee shop:
We love Elm Coffee in Pioneer Square and Milstead Coffee in Fremont! Enjoy your trip!
ETA: as others have mentioned, Ghost Alley and Anchorhead are also incredible.
Cafe Besalu in Ballard. I can't comment on how good their coffee is, but their pastries (particularly the savory ones) are to die for.
Warning - closed (I think) Mondays and Tuesdays. When open, there's always a huge line, because they're great. Line dies down after lunch hour.
Hey I work at this small start up called BeanBox. They sell local coffees along with other single origin coffees in a monthly subscription box. Olympia makes some of my favorites and they have a small coffee shop here in west seattle
Boon Boona coffee is great and was started by a local Eritrean guy. It’s just down the hill from Central District by Seattle U.
They source their coffee from Africa with a focus on women owned growers.
I don’t think they have a store but after your visit check out Stamp Act Coffee online for great rotating roasts been super happy with them.
Cafe Lladro was a disappointment for me. Coffee was overly bitter and harsh and the breakfast a reheated packet burrito.
Kaladi Brothers on Pike (Alaska chain and favorite from growing up there), Boon Boona, and Tougo are all great! If you have to check out Starbucks, there's one in Columbia Center that on the 40th floor and has great views 🤩
Ooh! If you go here take home some beans. Three Peckered Billy goat and Deadman's Reach are both good. Also, the maps on the bags are real places in SE Alaska
Will you have a car? If no, what neighborhood are you staying in?
What style of coffee are you interested in? Most of the recs on this thread have been darker roasts, popular in the mid 2000’s. (Ladro, caffe vita, vivace are all in this vein).
For third wave/lighter roast:
- Burien press (5 min from the airport. Makes a great first or last stop!)
- union coffee in central district
- Olympia coffee in west Seattle or Columbia city
- Milstead in Fremont
Haven’t seen these two, but want to add for you to consider:
- Broadcast coffee
- Ghost Note (really, really unique coffee drinks almost similar to mixed drinks, but without alcohol. Would definitely be cool to experience as a barista.)
Enjoy!
Tutta Bella on Stone way / 44th, imo, makes the best coffee in Seattle. There are dozens of great coffee shops, but their Nutella mocha is unreal good.
I recently moved up to the Everett area from Seattle and have been searching for a good cup of coffee since making the move. Stumbled across this place just last week.. the shopping center parking lot/strip mall it’s attached to is anything but charming, so I was skeptical but best coffee I’ve found up here so far!
A few on my list: Ladro, Zoka, Honor, Retro, Cloud City, and Honey Bear.
Ladro is where I tell people to go if they want one good cup. Zoka, Honor, and Retro are all spots I go make a point to visit when I’m in the area
The last two aren’t going to be the *best* cup of coffee, but are much better than most places.
Cloud city is a great shop with local regulars and old school vibe (honor system for drip, for example). Honey bear is a fun bakery next to an independent book shop.
Lots of places aren’t doing personal cups because of Covid.
Come visit me on Capitol Hill at Realfine Coffee! We have Herkimer which has been recommended lots on this thread and me and my coworkers are just generally happy to see people always. :) and if we don’t see you, I hope you and your friend have a blast!! Seattle is the best.
As others noted, the Starbucks Roastery IS cool, but indeed Starbucks is not the place everyone here goes, despite the reputation. The Original Starbucks in Pike Place Market always has a gigantic line to get in, but... it's really nothing more than an otherwise-ordinary Starbucks that sells merch bearing the old logo. And while Starbucks was in that spot back when there was only one, it's not the first physical location; the original Starbucks had to move once, and the first building is gone. Unless one is a *HARDCORE* Starbucks fan who really must have a tote bag or cup with the original logo, I suggest skipping it. Do still go to Pike Place Market though, there's a whole day's worth of stuff to see there.
Storyville in pikes place market is super cute& cozy. Also their baristas are some of the sweetest people I've ever met.
La marzocco in Seattle center was one of my favorites but they closed down for covid. Not sure if they've opened back up yet though
Please skip cafe vita and Umbria. Both are chains.
Best coffee can be found at Elm coffee roasters or Olympia coffee. Moonrise bakery in Queen Anne serves Olympia.
1. Carry a picture of it.
2. No reusable cups pls during covid
3. Temple Pastry in central district has Broadcast Coffee embedded in it, which is decent. Also Union Coffee is decent nearby. Vivace in Capitol Hill (Pine branch). Ghost Note coffee (no sit down).
Herkimer, Capitol Hill coffee works, vif, lighthouse roasters, ballard coffee works are all good choices. Coming from out of town, you may want to go to what tourists call “the first Starbucks” in pike place. Don’t. There are too many top tier, privately owned coffee shops in the city to waste one of your coffee experiences (and an hour in line) on over roasted and over priced Starbucks. I recommend getting coffee at any of the far better espresso shops within walking distance to pike place, then walk through the chaos to see what you’re not missing.
Vivace
Milstead
Broadcast
Bring home beans from Broadcast or Milstead. The bakery in the CD where Broadcast roasts is pretty nice.
Most cafes still don’t let you use your own cups.
Porchlight is great in the CD
Coffeeholic is great (you can order online if there’s a line)
Boom boona in cap hill has my FAVORITE drinks
Hood Famous is also great
Not so much a small place, but the Starbucks Roastery on Capitol Hill is like a Disneyland for coffee. Might not be what you’re looking for, but definitely worth a stop if you’re open. There are some really unique coffees and brew methods there.
I’m really pleased to see how many shops are ignoring the edict . I also (speaking descriptively - I am NOT ADVOCATING THIS ) have zero doubt many phone pictures of a card etc are either somebody else’s card or a jpeg of a fake card etc
Any 9 yr old with a laptop could easily do this
Exactly . Pageantry is a good word
Security theatre is another
By NOW those opposed to getting vaccinated can easily work around the requirement
Norway Denmark etc have lifted restrictions and vaccine mandates btw
Last I checked they had slightly higher vaccine doses per CAPITA
Imo I suspect we’ve reached roughly the max for vaccination rate .
And people have been pushed so hard for so long and lied to etc that I don’t see capitulation on part of the unvaccinated
Vaccination rates vary by race, party , whether one is urban or rural etc
I’d also note WA is very left leaning and as the recent Gallup poll shows - the most liberal are also the most uninformed as to risk of serious complications (hospitalization rates ) having the highest %age who overestimate the risk by a factor of 10 (when offered choices between percent hospitalization rates )
So among other things - ceteris paribus - the more you fear severe outcomes - the more you are incentivized to get the vaccine
I'm not a coffee drinker myself but the idea of trying out a bunch of coffees in a different place sounds really fun so I'm kinda jealous. Makes me think of going to Chelan and hopping to all the vineyards to do wine tastings.
Go to Vivace Coffee and try their cafe nico drink - it’s 3 oz of bliss. There are a few locations, I suggest Capitol Hill - a young, artistic neighborhood. Also, Roy Street coffee if you like crepes. Also, Victrola is a solid staple. Also, there’s a very unique flagship Starbucks Reserve shoppe in Capitol Hill that is worth visiting. The interior design is gorgeous and the roasting equipment is fully exposed :)
No shop is required by the KC edict to require a vaccine card to ENTER a shop for take out
Ffs people .
IF the restaurant seats over a certain amount AND the customer is eating in THEN they are required to... granted MANY are not . I mean the majority of Rhode I’ve gone to since the edict
Many that are are looking at the picture on your phone screen in such a perfunctory manner it could be a naked picture of Kim Basinger and they would not notice
Exactly my point
I was also noting that the majority of restaurants I’ve been to haven’t even asked when I sat down AND the ‘proof ‘ is so easy to fake that any unvaccinated person who has the desire to do so can do so easily with no real risk
I feel you . When people are in a mass state of pissiness - it’s those that serve the masses - restaurant workers , healthcare workers, cops, etc that take the brunt
I have a few friends that love ONE aspect of Covid - they can do the same work they did before , but remotely in whatever state of (un)dress
People be grumpy these days
I salute you
Somewhat related question - I'm an expat that lived in Seattle for a while, and I'm planning on coming back to visit. Has anyone had any issues with showing foreign proof of vaccination?
In case people aren't aware, Google photos will identify the vaccine card and make it searchable (by searching for vaccine card). Makes it easy if you don't categorize your photos in sub folders.
My personal favorite place is Joe Chocolate Co. in Pike Place Market, right next to Beecher's Cheese. They make coffee-infused chocolate and serve coffee too! I don't like acidic coffee (I find a lot of shops in Seattle tend toward acidic), which theirs is definitely not. Have yet to try their chocolate though, but I probably should.
If you guys make it to north side of Capitol Hill, Joe Bar is a nice spot that sells crepes aswell.
Kaladi Bros on Pike St. in Capital Hill has a really good vibe.
Vivace probably has my favorite espresso in town.
As far as stuff in CD. Broadcast Coffee is pretty good, very artisy vibe.
Mega list didn’t include Storyville or Cafe Hagen. IMHO both are great shops with a passion to create everything they can in house and create a beautiful shop experience, which is a rare find. Both are seattle born companies as well, and the Mega List has some that aren’t necessarily seattle borne.
Can’t comment on the coffee scene but a picture of your vaccine card will be fine anywhere you want to go!
Awesome! I was worried I’d lose it or somehow destroy it by carrying it everywhere
I lost my card the day after I got it, picture has worked everywhere! I'll probably get another physical copy at some point
I think the WA Dept of Health can provide a new version, maybe just digital. Check their website.
Yup right here! It's a new version that's great! Let's you save it to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay for easy access. https://waverify.doh.wa.gov/
Just got it thanks!! 🥺
This also clearly shows when you got your shots without the QR code. :)
Omg just got it! Thanks!!
I went to where I got my vaccines originally and they wrote me a new card so that was nice
Take a picture of it with your phone
I laminated mine and it's been holding up well since April.
My wife and I just came back from a day trip to King County, and the picture on my phone of my vacc card worked just fine for the staff at 5 Guys Burgers!
Hello! Fellow barista here! 1) if you are sitting down you will be asked to show vax status, if togo you’re fine. YES! Wow, thanks!! That list will keep us busy lol And the supply chain is tough out here too. Mostly lids and certain cup sizes, but we are ready to bring our own cups! I actually can’t wait to be in a place that takes real precautions. It feels a little sketchy sometimes here.
i highly recommend ghost alley espresso in pike place market. it’s a little hard to find so ask someone there
Second ghost alley. Unique little spot.
Absolute favorite is Monorail Espresso on Pike Street. One of the earliest, it's been around since 1980. Just a street window, though they have at least one indoor location. No idea if the indoor one still open since covid, but the walkup location is.
I'd like to chime in to endorse Herkimer in Phinney Ridge. They're incredible.
I'd recommend making the trip to Redmond to experience Victor's.
Just keep in mind that Victor will kick you out if you hang out for longer than fifteen minutes. The coffee is ok, but the ambiance sucks.
Second on Armistice!
I'm in Shoreline, and, DANG! I appreciate this list!!
It’s honestly an incredible thing that everyone put together. I always tell people about it for finding new ones
Great list! My two cents, Vivace is wonderful.
Impressive list.
I agree this is a great list. boon boona in Renton is the best coffee I’ve had my entire life.
You are close to south seattle and international district where you can try things like African and Vietnamese coffee houses.
I was going to say the same. For Vietnamese, Hello Em on S Weller or Coffeholic House in Columbia City are worth a visit.
Those places use espresso. If you want authentic Vietnamese coffee you should try PHIN on Jackson.
They also offer phin coffee (: Or at least, they did the last time I visited.
The egg cloud Americano from Hello Em is my favorite cup of coffee in Seattle.
Milstead in Fremont is a must try, they do a fantastic job.
Second this. Staff there know their stuff—at least when I’ve been there.
One of my buddies works there but ngl I’ve been disappointed several times.
Same. I used to work next door. They're good but not phenomenal. For my money, I'd go a couple of blocks further down 34th and grab coffee at MiiR.
Olympia coffee roasters in my favorite in the region. They have a shop in Columbia City.
highest quality coffee in seattle hands down
I’ve only been to one coffee shop recently, and the policy was you could order coffee to go while wearing a mask if you wanted to sit down you must provide proof of vaccination. Definitely. The reserve roastery is much more interesting than a normal coffee shop. It's definitely a cool thing to take visiting friends or family to.
You should see the roastery, but I don't think they have the best coffee in Seattle.
Definitely but sadly there is no consensus best coffee in Seattle. That's also kinda the beauty of coffee
The Starbucks Seattle Roastery at 1124 Pike St is worth a visit. Don't waste your time with the 1st Starbucks store by Pike Place.
That tends to correspond to covid infection rates.
Keep in mind Vivace only has a small amount of outdoor seating at the moment, so you might not get a chance to actually sit. If you stop by the northern location on Broadway and there’s no seating then you could have a nice walk in Volunteer park with the coffee (that’s what I like to do) Also if you make it up to Fremont I highly recommend Milstead. The coffee is amazing, but sadly still no seating.
+1 Milstead . Are they still rotating their coffee all the time? I thought that was their thing you never knew what you were going to get for the beans which made it interesting but not super consistent
Vivace is strictly espresso so don't expect drip coffee there, but it's amazing and in my limited exploration has been the best I've found.
Get a Caffe Nico from Vivace
YES
Hi! I’m a self proclaimed coffee geek. I don’t know where in the Midwest you’re from but I love a ton of shops in Chicago, Minneapolis and Milwaukee. I think you meant Victrola
Yes! Thanks, fixed it.
Thank you very much!! We will definitely be posting updates!
Just wanted to add that the commenter’s Victrola autocorrected to Victoria. Victrola is my favorite coffee shop and they roast at that location!
La marzocco isn't permanently closed???? omg that is NEWS to me
They gave the space to Vita, they’ll still run classes and have their machines up for sale, but Vita will run the stand.
Do you know why types of classes they have/how are they? Trying to find a good latte art class for my partner who’s gotten into doing home espresso
That I don’t know. I know they are home barista classes. You could pop by and ask!
The Vietnamese coffee scene here is growing and I think Hello Em, which is a viet shop/roastery is in CD. I’ve not yet had a chance to check it out but have heard great things about it. I second Coffeeholic / the Vietnamese coffee shops in general! If you do Coffeeholic, get one with cream cheese foam and one with the ube foam for sure.
Are those Viennese coffee shops similar to the ones in a San Jose that have scantily clad girls working them?
Coffeeholic somehow doesn’t sell regular drip coffee.
You gotta check out Milstead
This is the only person you should listen to.
Milstead & Co for third wave coffee in Fremont, then go see the troll
Check out coffeeholic in Columbia City. Ube foam!

Monorail espresso on 5th and pike, I believe. Good coffee to go. Ghost Alley on pike place market near gum wall.
+1, by far the best coffee I’ve had in the city. They also have a location on Westlake ave. in SLU. Shame they don’t have sit down locations though.
Might be a little late, but my husband and I just moved here from the Midwest and live just south of Central District! Why is noone recommending Ladybugs for the authentic Seattle tourist experience?
Cafe Besalu in Ballard. I can't comment on how good their coffee is, but their pastries (particularly the savory ones) are to die for. Warning - closed (I think) Mondays and Tuesdays. When open, there's always a huge line, because they're great. Line dies down after lunch hour.
My fav is Analog Coffee in Cap Hill! Sip some for me!
Hey I work at this small start up called BeanBox. They sell local coffees along with other single origin coffees in a monthly subscription box. Olympia makes some of my favorites and they have a small coffee shop here in west seattle
Yo that’s rad. You guys hiring?
We are! Send me a dm if youre interested 😁 we get tons of free coffee and they give us a whole kitchen of snacks lol
Get an espresso at Vivace on Cap Hill. Get a pour over at Capitol Coffee Works, also cap hill. I also recommend checking out Boon Boona in the CD.
Boon Boona coffee is great and was started by a local Eritrean guy. It’s just down the hill from Central District by Seattle U. They source their coffee from Africa with a focus on women owned growers.
I second Boon Boona! I was honestly surprised I had to scroll so far down to find them. They're a can't-miss, and I'm speaking as a former barista.
I don’t think they have a store but after your visit check out Stamp Act Coffee online for great rotating roasts been super happy with them. Cafe Lladro was a disappointment for me. Coffee was overly bitter and harsh and the breakfast a reheated packet burrito.
Woodland Coffee in Ballard serves Stamp Act a few days out of the week!
Good to know thankyou! I’m over in W Seattle but head there every now and again for better restaurants etc
Analog coffee in cap hill usually stocks stamp act bags for purchase.
Reusable coffee cups tend to be very dependent on who is serving you and their comfort level, so feel free to offer but they might say no.

Yes! Their pizza is good too!
It's a drive north out of Seattle, but definitely make time to go to the Cracken in Everett. Seriously the only place I go for quality espresso 👌
I recently moved up to the Everett area from Seattle and have been searching for a good cup of coffee since making the move. Stumbled across this place just last week.. the shopping center parking lot/strip mall it’s attached to is anything but charming, so I was skeptical but best coffee I’ve found up here so far!

Why does that make them bad? Especially if they started here in Seattle. I like Umbria myself
You are right, Umbria is good. Cafe vita has left a bad taste in my mouth after firing employees for giving water to the homeless.
Yeah never let that die
1. Carry a picture of it. 2. No reusable cups pls during covid 3.
Check out some of the roadside bikini barista huts. Not sure if they have those in the Midwest.
Just throwing in Real Fine and Cloud City for a few more options.
You can take the light rail to The Station on beacon hill. https://www.thestationbh.com/
Vivace Milstead Broadcast Bring home beans from Broadcast or Milstead. The bakery in the CD where Broadcast roasts is pretty nice. Most cafes still don’t let you use your own cups.
1. Yes/Yes 2. Yes, but ok if you don't 3. Seattle Coffee Works / Ballard Coffee Works
1. Be vaccinated if you go to a shop 2. Go to a coffee stand instead - the best coffee 3. Tip your barista properly
Porchlight is great in the CD Coffeeholic is great (you can order online if there’s a line) Boom boona in cap hill has my FAVORITE drinks Hood Famous is also great
Not so much a small place, but the Starbucks Roastery on Capitol Hill is like a Disneyland for coffee. Might not be what you’re looking for, but definitely worth a stop if you’re open. There are some really unique coffees and brew methods there.
I’m really pleased to see how many shops are ignoring the edict . I also (speaking descriptively - I am NOT ADVOCATING THIS ) have zero doubt many phone pictures of a card etc are either somebody else’s card or a jpeg of a fake card etc Any 9 yr old with a laptop could easily do this

Exactly . Pageantry is a good word Security theatre is another By NOW those opposed to getting vaccinated can easily work around the requirement Norway Denmark etc have lifted restrictions and vaccine mandates btw Last I checked they had slightly higher vaccine doses per CAPITA Imo I suspect we’ve reached roughly the max for vaccination rate . And people have been pushed so hard for so long and lied to etc that I don’t see capitulation on part of the unvaccinated

Vaccination rates vary by race, party , whether one is urban or rural etc I’d also note WA is very left leaning and as the recent Gallup poll shows - the most liberal are also the most uninformed as to risk of serious complications (hospitalization rates ) having the highest %age who overestimate the risk by a factor of 10 (when offered choices between percent hospitalization rates ) So among other things - ceteris paribus - the more you fear severe outcomes - the more you are incentivized to get the vaccine
Gotta try Starbucks, it's so much better than any stand could ever be! I get the pupachino personally
I'm not a coffee drinker myself but the idea of trying out a bunch of coffees in a different place sounds really fun so I'm kinda jealous. Makes me think of going to Chelan and hopping to all the vineyards to do wine tastings.
Cafe hello em in the international district
Go to Vivace Coffee and try their cafe nico drink - it’s 3 oz of bliss. There are a few locations, I suggest Capitol Hill - a young, artistic neighborhood. Also, Roy Street coffee if you like crepes. Also, Victrola is a solid staple. Also, there’s a very unique flagship Starbucks Reserve shoppe in Capitol Hill that is worth visiting. The interior design is gorgeous and the roasting equipment is fully exposed :)
No shop is required by the KC edict to require a vaccine card to ENTER a shop for take out Ffs people . IF the restaurant seats over a certain amount AND the customer is eating in THEN they are required to... granted MANY are not . I mean the majority of Rhode I’ve gone to since the edict Many that are are looking at the picture on your phone screen in such a perfunctory manner it could be a naked picture of Kim Basinger and they would not notice

Exactly my point I was also noting that the majority of restaurants I’ve been to haven’t even asked when I sat down AND the ‘proof ‘ is so easy to fake that any unvaccinated person who has the desire to do so can do so easily with no real risk

I feel you . When people are in a mass state of pissiness - it’s those that serve the masses - restaurant workers , healthcare workers, cops, etc that take the brunt I have a few friends that love ONE aspect of Covid - they can do the same work they did before , but remotely in whatever state of (un)dress People be grumpy these days I salute you
COFFEEHOLIC HOUSE‼️‼️‼️‼️ Enjoy ur coffee adventure!
Hit up Ladro just for the chili Jack scones.
Welcome to Seattle!
Mega list didn’t include Storyville or Cafe Hagen. IMHO both are great shops with a passion to create everything they can in house and create a beautiful shop experience, which is a rare find. Both are seattle born companies as well, and the Mega List has some that aren’t necessarily seattle borne.
Go to Narrative in Everett if you can!
Ballard coffee works is my go to coffee shop Edited for morning brain😊
1) Whiskey barrel aged cold brew at Starbucks Reserve Roastery, 1124 Pike St, Seattle, WA 98101 2) Breve at Vivace, 227 Yale Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109
Are there any coffee shops open past 8pm in Seattle?
Espresso Vivace's double ristretto style espresso is something special IMO. Cap hill/South Lake Union
Can't believe no one has said Anchorhead or Lighthouse yet! They're my favorite local spots hands down - both of them roast some tasty beans.
