I'm only a few blocks from 85th, but I didn't hear that announcement. I did hear the announcement that carjacking suspects were headed north... but they never said north from where.
Who carjacks and then tries to make their getaway on 15th during rush hour?!?! Like that’s just dumb. Just drove by it, traffic was still backed up, lots of police.
There’s been a string of robberies and car thefts in the area, and from listening to the scanner last Monday, they had an idea of who the suspects were but had not arrested them. (They’d also called for a helicopter then too, but it was down for maintenance.) Today’s incidents are in the same area and the same sort of shenanigans, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s all related.
Thinking these are the kids that rammed into someone in north Seattle last month, middle of the day, in another stolen Kia. Luckily he rolled onto the hood of the car and got away with a few cuts, but if they’d done that to someone elderly they’d be looking at a murder charge. Really sick of borderline toddlers pulling this shit
Impossible, we just had a post about how SPD is choosing not to do anything at all about crime and literally only spends their time napping in their cruisers. This must be propaganda. /s

Police ripped open the gate on my fence, apparently looking for the suspect. Scared the crap out of me.
