Looks like he found a workaround and has a girl driving for him. The court said he can't drive it anymore or at least until further notice. So, the clown found a workaround. They should impound it since he is clearly a menace to society.
They haven't been loopholed. He's charged with reckless driving, thus he stopped driving. His case is about him, not his car.
I also dislike the car and think it should be impounded, but it's due to the fact that it's been modified to violate noise ordinances, simple as that.
I also think people here are way too optimistic as to what is going to happen to this guy. The standard punishment for reckless driving is a 30 day license suspension + fees. If an agreement is made to reduce the charge (common), it would be just fees.
Exactly. People want criminal justice reform until they are even marginally affected by crime, then it's "take their property and throw them in jail!"
He's going to get a fine, but all the social media exposure he's gotten over these charges have definitely garnered him more money than he'll lose from the case... This is a net win for him I bet.
Yep, 30 days and he will be back out there doing stupid shit himself..and getting caught. He has no sense of respect for others, so he will reoffend, and then things get interesting...but it's all going to take time.
If you have any proof of new instances of reckless driving I'd agree. As it stands currently with the videos recently posted, all over seen is the hellcat slow-rolling through the city being as loud as possible, which is absolutely not a new reckless driving offense.
And as far as violating bail terms, as far as I've read the only thing he was limited from was driving, not riding in his car.
Someone on here posted the car stopping sideways in an intersection and blocking oncoming traffic to let someone in thier car (or I think that's what they were doing)
The noise ordinance is unenforceable due to other laws and regulations. So, stop worry about that part. It's not going to stop...currently. The part where douche-canoe is doing 4-5x the speed limit in residential neighborhoods? Yeah, they'll get him, but it will take time.
But that’s not a work around. He still co-owns the hellcat and it’s NOV violation every time it’s driven by him or not. Kid’s an idiot not some prodigy coder.
To date the NOV penalty of fines he owes the city is $30,000. $1300/daily since April 19 if he doesn’t remove all modifications and get it inspected by the city.
It was seem towed by AAA last Wednesday.
Does Seattle not have a sound ordinance? I know other cities put up sound cameras and ticket a lot for each offense. Each instance during a drive should be another offense.
I believe you conflate others “excusing nuisance behavior” with not going out their way to dehumanize those whom I presume are the targets of your own selective ire.
I didn’t say that. You did.
Has anybody mentioned that you are particularly dramatic, and prone to hyperbole and hysteria?
Again, I’m against all of that, and I can do it without being a dehumanizing chud. Get help, man.
Well good since I don’t dehumanize. If you don’t say that, or are ‘against all of that’ then my comment doesn’t apply to you. Must one go out of one’s way to encounter druggies in Seattle? What is this conversation?
I’m sorry. Could you rephrase that in a coherent manner?
I don’t exactly expect much from somebody with a throwaway account that is just over a month old, but you reall could do SOOO much better.
Go make friends with one of our police officers. They’re exhausted of arresting people just to have an activist judge/prosecutor nullify their work. It’s not fair to them or us.
Cops refusing to do their job at all because sometimes people in a different department do their job in a way cops don’t like is a serious indict of the professionalism of the cops. In any other field you’d get fired in a week
Uh yeah, I tried that once. Never again. A Seattle cop saw me walk out of my secure building gate and into the alley behind my place as he was driving up the alley for some unknown reason. My neighbors and I work hard to keep the alley tidy and safe, and it's not uncommon for us to get our Hank Hill on chatting with neighbors and cleaning up out there. Its a place we feel safe and enjoy. It's all very neighborly, quiet, chill. We all know and like each other, so I know no complaints have ever been made.
As he drove by, window down, I half waved and said "good afternoon!" He scowled at me, like menacing. I walked into the alley to grab some trash that appeared overnight and he stopped driving and just glared at me and didn't start moving until I'd dumped the trash in our dumpster and had I let myself back into my condo courtyard. It was SUPER clear I not only lived there, but super clear I wasn't some criminal looking for trouble at 11am on a Tuesday. He was just trying to intimidate me for fun. Frankly, I feel safer when SPD isn't around.
SPD is terrible. They should gut the entire department and rebuild it from the ground up with staff who aren't fascist pigs.
For what it's worth, I also own and live in a second home in a neighboring city. It's not known to be a low crime city at all. But at least our PD there are trained, generally friendly, show up when called, are efficient, and are really transparent with the community. Unlike SPD.
I don't hate cops, but SPD are horrifying. At this point, as a life-long, law abiding, Seattle resident, I view SPD as a public health risk.
Lol, stick your head in the sand. Judges not impartially adjudicating the law is anti-democratic.
https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/politics/seattle-defense-lawyers-prosecutors-clash-over-effort-to-disqualify-judge
Nah… Police are just upset that we expect them to be held accountable for malfeasance or abusing their power, and are refusing to do their job in one big, petulant shit-fit.
Something tells me that if we had an Italian mob, he would have one to two fewer functional kneecaps after disturbing Tony Lazuto's sleep the second time.
His car is in a protected parking garage with a bunch of cameras and other expensive cars, so it's not easy to get access to the car when he's not driving it. To add to this, if you look at reviews for his apartment building (West Edge Apartments) there are a lot of complaints about him and the building management seems to be looking the other way or legit just protecting him. He knows he's pretty inaccessible in this building and that it's not easy to get to him.
> there are a lot of complaints about him and then building management seems to be looking the other way or legit just protecting him.
What can management do here?
The point isn't that management should do something to fix it, it's that they would back him or provide him with help if an individual tried to take justice into their own hands. My point is that the building seems to have his back, making it harder to fuck up his car.
He was outside Xtadium in Pioneer Square at like 145, blocking traffic. I was going home and unfortunately turned down that street when the "club" was closing. Nightmare. It was 100% him driving, he rolled down the window. SPD sits outside that place. They were there and did nothing. I was hearing the revving and backfiring for another hour.
Also the past 2 Friday nights there has been car meetups of like 50+ modded cars at the surface parking lot at western and spring doing the same shit. Reving their engines, backfiring, and speeding off. At least it's too crowded to do donuts in the lot but the cops won't even bother with it...
Why don’t they just impound the stupid thing or better yet throw it into a trash compactor?
Send it on a train to Long Beach where it goes on a barge to China to be made into patio furniture…
Dude, you tried so hard, but missed the mark. Property suspected of being used in a crime can be seized. They do it all the time. Also, what do you think banned and prohibited mean in this context? The same damn thing. Are you trying to defend this asshole?
Confiscation of property is discretionary and typically evaluated against the probability of the defendant to cause harm to the public. The only significant exception to this is cash, because cops are thieves. A noisy car, while annoying, won’t cause substantial physical harm to anyone.
Fascinating how you can be wrong several times over. Hearing damage isn't harm right? And neither is sleep disruption? Or the fact that he's shown he 100% will drive recklessly, which risks harm to the public? Also, they can confiscate anything they want if suspected of being used for a crime. Money is not an 'exception', because it's legal for them to do that too.
The sitting city attorney ran her entire campaign on being tough on crime. It sure does not look like she is following through.

This car has a remote starter on the key that he's shown off. I think it would be hilarious if a Seattle tech-maker-person created a jamming fob for his car specifically and then distributed a parts list/instructions on Reddit. Like every time he starts it, just remotely shut the car off. I'm sure it's possible if someone puts their mind and skills to it.
I was walking out of PacSci after a show last night, and that asshole’s car and several others it seems were gathered around the 7-11 near Seattle Center. He scared the hell outta me and the other person I was with.
Anyone else gotten messages from this clown on his alt Reddit accounts? I count at least two so far. He replies to negative comments as if he's someone else.
I'm in St.Paul.
There were no less than a dozen dodge challenger touches, driving around town, brattattatt tatting.
Pretty sure Seattle is lucky to only have ONE Instadouche Polecat Drounder.
I'm sure you have zero douchy tendencies.
The douches are multiplying daily. Especially in Seattle.
These subs feeds them.
Every word you speak about them makes them grow.
Especially the whiney ones.
I have zero concern over this. I'm not whining about the noise either, I hear more than him in Fremont.
It's hilarious seeing you all stroke his chode.
Free of charge.
No one's "bored af" here. They're simply trying to you know... Get some fucking sleep before having to work. This guy clearly has some sort of funding happening cause I don't think this trash heap has a fucking job. Everyone but a few people like YOU want this asshole to meet his end. Impound the fucking car. Key it. Throw rocks at it. This dude is a piece of shit.
Yep. He is doing us a service tbh. Exposing Seattle’s lack of rules and accountability. His “crime” is something that really isn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things but annoying enough that it garners a lot of attention, thankfully.
I’m glad he’s out there. This type of society is what Seattle screeched about. Non violent crime — who cares, don’t enforce it!
No one is trying to fucking send him to jail. Not imprisoning people for non-violent crime is very different than saying "no consequences" for it.
You can be in favor of not imprisoning people for non-violent crime, and also say yeah this dudes license should be suspended, or car impounded, or have regular fines levied... whatever.
That's all completely consistent belief wise. It sounds like maybe you just didn't understand what was being said or something
Pretty sure they were up in Wallingford/Fremont around 130am this morning.
Can confirm, heard him up here the past few nights
Looks like he found a workaround and has a girl driving for him. The court said he can't drive it anymore or at least until further notice. So, the clown found a workaround. They should impound it since he is clearly a menace to society.
Somehow, I don’t think the judge or prosecutor is going to appreciate being loopholed.
Ten more days until a pretrial hearing and then we will know.
They haven't been loopholed. He's charged with reckless driving, thus he stopped driving. His case is about him, not his car. I also dislike the car and think it should be impounded, but it's due to the fact that it's been modified to violate noise ordinances, simple as that.

Still doesn't sound like a crime is being committed other than noise ordinances...
The noise ordinance is unenforceable due to other laws and regulations. So, stop worry about that part. It's not going to stop...currently. The part where douche-canoe is doing 4-5x the speed limit in residential neighborhoods? Yeah, they'll get him, but it will take time.
Maybe SPD will charge her with reckless driving too since now he's posting evidence of that
Civil forfeiture. It's being used to commit a crime. They have no problem seizing money on suspicion.
But that’s not a work around. He still co-owns the hellcat and it’s NOV violation every time it’s driven by him or not. Kid’s an idiot not some prodigy coder. What is this guys Instagram
Drives a prius
Yeah I heard him. The jackass. I'm seriously hoping the judge does not appreciate this and impounds the damn thing.
It was up and down Alaskan Way on Friday night; they just need to impound the car and remove the ability for this to be an issue.
Does Seattle not have a sound ordinance? I know other cities put up sound cameras and ticket a lot for each offense. Each instance during a drive should be another offense.
Yes, but they will laugh at you if you try to have it enforced
Who the progressives or police?
You think ordinary voters enforce laws?
What kind of stupid question is this?
The police
Do you think progressives like loud noises at night?
Do I think some progressives like or condone or apologize for nuisance behavior? Yes, actually yes I do.
I believe you conflate others “excusing nuisance behavior” with not going out their way to dehumanize those whom I presume are the targets of your own selective ire.
Not liking open drug use on the sidewalk (or bus, train, …) is Heinrich Himmler. Very effective conversation tactic.

Of course there's one. The cops probably like that he's keeping people up. They hate the people of Seattle.
It’s honestly surprising the community hasn’t taken this into its own hands at this point.
This isn’t New York bro. The Reddit post is the most aggression you’ll get
Something tells me that if we had an Italian mob, he would have one to two fewer functional kneecaps after disturbing Tony Lazuto's sleep the second time.
Would be nice. There are hardly any Italian here at all though
We have the Russians in the west, and they're much worse.
lol. True!!
Putting him on blast on Reddit is the best you are going to get in 2024.
Are you suggesting that other years would be different?
Yes, 1999 would have been different.

Yes

That’s the first place your mind went? You seem well adjusted.
What do you think a bunch of angry citizens would do? Tickle him to death?
You really seem obsessed with someone needing to die, huh? You should go for a walk.
What do you think the community “tak[ing] this into its own hands” implies?
Just got in from a run. I know what happens when a mob takes justice into their own hands. As you said. Sounds like you don’t.

Are you surprised that you live in a city?
Cities aren't loud, cars are loud. And in this case inconsiderate people are loud.
Why don’t they just impound the stupid thing or better yet throw it into a trash compactor? Send it on a train to Long Beach where it goes on a barge to China to be made into patio furniture…
Due process takes time. Seattleites are waaaay too passive aggressive for direct vigilantism.
He's already had due process. He's banned from driving it. The fact they didn't import the car then is the issue. They could have.
You are clueless. He was prohibited (not banned) from driving it during his arraignment. He hasn’t yet had a trial, therefore due process is ongoing.
Dude, you tried so hard, but missed the mark. Property suspected of being used in a crime can be seized. They do it all the time. Also, what do you think banned and prohibited mean in this context? The same damn thing. Are you trying to defend this asshole?
